I like coming here on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because they are open until 8 pm. This is later than most other libraries in the area and I like that a lot. It also tends to be quiet inside although there are some days where it is a little loud because people don't know how to be quiet. The library itself is cozy and has a lot of little sections where you can go and seclude yourself for a little while. I enjoy where it is located as well, something about this section of Norwalk gives me a sense of peace and tranquility that few other places give me.

    lots of outlets!

Enjoyed this library! Came to this library because it near the farmer's market on Tuesday's. I came to sit near the center of the library right when it opened at noon. It is a bit noisier than most libraries but it's tolerable. It's not completely quiet, there will be conversations here and there but it's not as bad as people make it out to be in the reviews. The library was neat, had lots of sections to explore, printing process is easy and there's study rooms! There was security walking by every once in a while. Lovely library.

The City of Norwalk has a tradition that they have free concerts for the local people every summer . Beside the musics they also have games for the kids to enjoy the family day out. The band played around 7 pm , there were a lot of people showed up and some of them were dancing with the music. It was kind of nice for the city to have these activities for the local citizens. Today was hot in this area, but the temperature has gone down a bit and you could feel the breezes going through around here. There were fast food restaurants and other shops close by . Target and Walmart also were close walking distances. Bravo to the city of Norwalk.

The WiFi is great, rarely ever down. They allow 1 hour of free computer time, and you can log back in for another. They have a wide range of movie selections and you can check out up to 50 movies at once! You have 1 week for all movies to be returned (7 days). There is a kids section and tons of seating for people who bring their own computers, tablets, phones, etc. It is cold all day and night, rain or shine, so I'd suggest to bring a jacket. The only thing that could maybe seem like a negative is the homeless people that stop in from time to time. They almost never ask for money or help but some do bring in a lot of personal belongings, they aren't disruptive or loud! My family nor I have ever felt uncomfortable or uneasy around them (sitting right next to them) but some people tend to stay away due to personal feelings. Most of them are local homeless coming in to cool off and use the computers. Atmosphere can get a little loud after 2pm since most family's come in and the kids area can get packed and rowdy, on the weekends its a little more loud than average but nothing you can drone out with or without headphones. I've had my library card here for almost 10 years this is the only library I feel comfortable in and can find everything I need!

The sound of the water and the dolphin family sculpture is so tranquil, and because I really connect with dolphins, it honestly felt like the perfect welcome. Right when you walk inside, the artwork in the glass displays pulls you in. It's creative, organized, and just visually nice to take in. As you wander further in, the large aquarium connected to the children's section is another standout -- it adds this calm, magical feel to the space. I grabbed a magazine and found a quiet window seat, and those 30 minutes of zero calls, zero texts, zero noise? Pure heaven. I didn't realize how much I missed just sitting and reading without a single interruption. Before heading out, I checked out the psychology and cooking sections, and it reminded me how much I've always loved libraries and bookstores. The whole visit made me want to get a library card and come back once a month just to enjoy that peaceful moment. I could've spent hours just checking out each section. If you want a quiet, beautiful place to escape for a bit, this library is it.

There's outlets everywhere, even next to chairs, which are super handy. Reminds me of my university library with how modern the lighting and furniture is, but way cleaner!! Lots of activities and clubs too over here such as Lego club or Chess club. Just gotta pay attention to the many flyers being displayed around. The hours here are pretty good and the Wifi speed is pretty handy. I don't really pay attention to how loud or quiet it is in here since I usually just keep headphones/earphones on.

I usually go to the city library but I'm very close to county so occasionally I like to go. I've had a few visits here and staff is not approachable. It seems like they try to avoid you or just me. Lol The librarian is also not helpful. 1 years after my first bad experience with him. I approach his desk and just like the first time. I spent 30 minutes going book by book checking grade level The city library has books by grade level. I'm willing to donate some volunteer time to get the county library the same. Yelp 2020 3/100

It might be better for the environment but not for my health (unless I know that they actually disinfect those regularly, otherwise it harbors bacteria). The lady at the front was nice. The quiet library is open & airy, perfect for studying or simply perusing books. It has a large children's section with newer computers. It's conducive to learning & broadening our minds. I was probably one of the few kids in junior high (did I just age myself?) & high school who regularly visited the library to borrow books. Unlike other libraries in the area, Sorensen doesn't limit your parking to 2 hours or anything like that. I don't understand how people can get work done or study with peace of mind, having to take all your things and move your car. Another reason I really enjoy Sorensen is the librarians that work there. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Although it's a smaller library, they do a wonderful job of keeping the place clean, quiet, and organized. Now, the reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because they have a limited selection of certain topics. It's not really their fault, but it'd be nice to have a little bit more. The last reason is because even though their WiFi is great, for some odd reason, I can't use Tik Tok on their WiFi. Other social media is fine but it's only Tik Tok. This is a small issue for me, as I do some work in the social media field. Overall, please go here! It's a wonderful library that you'll enjoy!
