We just dropped in to try out La Cote Bleue, which recently had its soft opening in PG. It was very quiet (Monday night), only one other table occupied, so we got full attention - and we loved it. The food was really excellent. They served us a small plate of homemade bread and butter, which was very tasty. We shared two starters, the house salad which had a really fantastic dressing; and the crudo, which was out of this world - my favorite course of the meal. I should also add these are huge, generous portions, we easily could have shared just one. My girlfriend had the cod, I had the salmon, both excellent preparations but more than we could finish and we took them home. And we each had a glass of a nice Santa Cruz pinot. (A real bonus, at least as of now: no corkage.) If we had it to do over, we would either share a starter or a main. We were disappointed to skip dessert but we will without doubt return. The space was a bit chilly tonight but I imagine as it fills with customers it will warm up. It's a great new addition to the local dining scene. I wish them well and will be back before you know it!

This restaurant is off to a great start and has the feel of a real neighborhood gem. The bread service was delicious. The fish was fresh and well prepared. The service was attentive. Miguel made us feel like we were welcome regulars on our first bisi

We went to celebrate a birthday at the newly opened seafood restaurant. All the food was delicious and the owner/chef, as well as the rest of the staff members were very polite. My favorite were the fresh oysters and the tuna crudo (raw fish). The vibes are good. The light in the dining room is perfect and the portions are reasonable. Good luck!!!

We had a reservation, but the dining room was not too busy, so we arrived early and were seated right away. The overall aesthetic leans toward a classic, older style that could benefit from a slight refresh, but it still feels comfortable and welcoming. Service was solid throughout the evening. The wine list was impressive, and we chose a 2018 Chateau Montelena which is always a reliable choice. We also decided to follow the server's recommendation for our meals. My wife ordered the Grilled Bone In Pork Chop priced at 41 which came with braised red cabbage, warm potato salad, and a smoked apple demi glace. She enjoyed it and found it flavorful, though not exceptional. I ordered the Seafood Fricassée priced at 46 which included shrimp, scallops, smoked salmon ravioli, and an asparagus mushroom cream sauce with chipotle pesto. The sauce was the star of the dish, rich and well balanced. With a few adjustments such as swapping the salmon for lobster in the ravioli and removing the asparagus, this dish could truly be outstanding. Make sure to ask for bread so you can enjoy the sauce properly. For dessert, we shared the Caramel and Sea Salt Crème Brulée priced at 13. It had a satisfying crack on top and a well executed flavor. I also learned it is a favorite local spot for many which is always good to know. We may or may not return, but that is simply because we love exploring new places. The food and experience were good, and I would encourage others to try this restaurant at least once, especially if they enjoy classic dining in a relaxed setting.

Enjoyed a wonderful Valentines dinner here!…read more We sat at the bar. Mustafa was the bartender and he made the night! He asked what type of cocktails we preferred and then made us drinks that fit our profile. They were AMAZING. The food was delicious. We had schnitzel, spatzle, potato salad, amazing desserts. Every bite was amazing. The owners of the restaurant were there and heavily involved. Everyone was friendly and working really hard to create a fabulous experience for their guests. Highly recommend! Usually when I note a birthday occasion, restaurants will at least acknowledge it with a small dessert or candle, so I honestly thought there might be something small for us too -- though maybe that's only during dinner service. In the end, there wasn't anything. What upset me more was how rushed the experience felt near the end. Staff were very quick to clear empty plates, and when we got the dessert menu, we asked if the restaurant was closing. The staff member told us the kitchen would close in 5 minutes and rushed us to order dessert quickly. It honestly made the atmosphere feel stressful instead of enjoyable, especially for a birthday celebration. In the end, we didn't even order dessert and just left. I've experienced rushed dining before, but mostly at busy casual places, so I was surprised to experience this kind of atmosphere here. Overall, the experience felt more rushed than welcoming
