Never had a bad experience here! Waiting staff is so friendly, we love the family atmosphere. Have taken many guests and family visiting in town. Most recently I ordered the Chile Colorado plate and it was soooo good! Highly recommend everything here. I don't like fish but my wife says their fish tacos are delicious! After church Sunday crowd is a bit busy but we have never had to wait long. Very random, but they have the best ice for drinks lol! Amazing Amazing Amazing Authentic Mexican Food found in RedBluff. I've tried the breakfast menu, the burritos, and full plate. I've probably eaten here 4 days in a row, Breakfast and Lunch. They have an amazing staff, friendly and very fast with service. They are truly the Best in ALL of Red Bluff. They have been recognized throughout the town with Awards for all they do. Their Chips and Salsa for starters is the best Appetizer handed out, fresh homemade and generous. It's very family oriented and not jumpy like most places that offer happy hour or bar like feel. I've always enjoyed the food and people here, and in spite of it always being busy when I go, I can perfectly understand why! I'm visiting friends and this is where they those for lunch. To be honest nothing really stood out to me as spectacular. It's a pretty typical hispanic restaurant. I didn't see any really unique menu items either. They did have fresh tortillas that were very good. I did enjoy my meal of the #7 pollo asado and the service was fairly quick and friendly. Given the chance I'm not sure I'd go back, I'd probably check out one of the many other similar choices in town. The best Mexican food in Red Bluff by far. I go here about twice a month. My favorite item on the menu is the Chili Verde, it is so delicious and a huge portion. The pork is melt in your mouth tender and the green chile sauce of jalapeno chiles, garlic, and tomatillos is oh so delicious. The portion is large enough that I always have enough leftovers for another meal at home. All this for under $10.00 and includes rice and refried beans, tortillas, guacamole and shredded lettuce. My family had a recent get-together, in honor of my Uncle Felix, who LOVED this place- it was his favorite restaurant. First, let me start with: the service was superior. The food was excellent, and served hot. Our drinks never went dry-my iced tea, and my son's diet soda were kept filled. I ordered a chile relleno burrito, and my son ordered a burrito with chile verde. We also got a side of menudo, which I believe they have on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I ate the menudo, and took the rest of my meal home, as did my son. It was some of the best menudo I've ever had, and I come from a Mexican family! The rest of our meal went home with us, to enjoy later. I remarked to my son that I didn't get heartburn, like I do sometimes. And I had even added the side spices and lemon that the waiter had brought. My son said he didn't either. We were both pretty amazed- good food AND no heartburn. WIN WIN. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, there was not an ungodly wait for the food, it was served hot and fresh, and the restaurant was clean. For us, there was no downside. It is very good but not better than Las mariachi which I see some people saying...or subtly hinting at. You do get bigger portions so that's a plus. My favorite Mexican dish is carnitas and theirs is somewhat dry. I also have to ask them to hold the Pico de gallo that they otherwise mix in. I ordered a Burrito last night and it was horrible. I asked for a beef Burrito with rice and beans. The rice and beans were "extra" $$ and, the tortilla was thick, tough and tasted sour. We stopped for late lunch here at La Corona in Red Bluff CA on our way to Ashland OR. There were a few similar Mexican places with 4 to 5 star reviews in the same area so we just picked one. We were so glad we came here. The chips were warm and crispy and the items we had were all superb. We had #1 beef taco and cheese enchilada plate, #9 carne asada steak, kids plate of Chile Colorado and #4 Chile relleno plate. We all loved our dishes!!! That Chile Colorado is to die for. My daughter thought it was too spicy for her so I gave her some of my steak, which was tender not tough and flavorful. Rice and beans are often just ok everywhere else but in this place, even those were really good. So happy to find this restaurant to enjoy dining and friendly, fast, superb service after a long drive from the Bay Area. Will be back! read more

This is my favorite Mexican joint in town! The food is consistently good and the staff is great. We are regulars here and Juan (the owner) always makes us feel like close friends and takes time to visit with us every time when he is there. This is what i compare all Mexican food to. I won't even eat camarones a la diabla anywhere else ever again because it's never as good as La Corona's. My other favorite dishes are the Carnitas and Siete Mares soup. the portions are HUGE too. i am rarely able to clean my plate and am always satisfied. The only reason to go to a different Mexican restaraunt in town is to get molcajete. If they added that to the menu i would NEVER go anywhere else! the only other thing that could make it any better would be a full bar. i don't care for wine margaritas. i like tequila! but liquor licenses aren't cheap and available, so i understand. read more

They have the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. They also have my favorite rice and beans. I enjoy that they have the crushed bits of ice that I call rabbit pellets. I have never been disappointed by the food I have eaten there and I have almost had the whole menu. Yes the decor isn't that great and it looks like they are straddling by there interior but that is the complete opposite because they have been a family favorite for years and they are always busy. The only thing that can suck is they typical close down during December because I have been told they visit family in Mexico.
