I had a rough day and needed something affordable for my family's dinner. I googled Johnny Boys Taco Truck. I clicked on the attached menu and the prices were good so I called in the order. I was shocked when I paid with my card and the total was double what I expected. I asked about it and showed then the menu online....the lady took a picture of the prices I showed her on Google and said she would tell her boss. Of course I know prices change and expected I might have to pay a couple extra dollars but double is too much. It cost almost $50 for 3 meals at a taco truck It would have been helpful if I was at least given a discount of some kind. When I got the food home one of the meals was not correct. We were so incredibly stoked to find Johnny Boys Tacos when we stopped in Corning to pick up some olives across the street, at the Olive Pit. We got two veggie burritos and a kids quesadilla plate (which came with beans and rice) for my 9 year old stepson. Right away we noticed that the woman at the truck deducted a dollar from each our burritos, as they didn't include any meat, which was both unexpected and appreciated. We like this place a lot. Guest review by the 8-year-old: If you're driving on a long trip and it's around dinner or lunch or something; if you're not a big fan of fast food, this is more healthy and it's super cheap. It's yummier. We always get the enchiladas al pastor for $7. Three enchiladas for seven bucks... I mean... that's crazy. Dad got two tacos al pastor for $3. Plus horchata all for $11.50. Seems cheaper than fast food to me. They put the food in the containers very neatly. And tidy. The people are very friendly and it has a little area you can sit down with three tables with misters. Cook does not wear mask and handles money and food with same hands, one of which has a glove that does not get changed between--glove just for show. Do they have a hand washing station in that truck? I would have given 3 stars because street tacos are yummy and generous and quite affordable. But I just bought a 7$ burrito that was 60% BY WEIGHT a massive but low grade tortilla and the rest DRY HARD CHICKEN and dry hard rice with little or no onions, guacamole, salsa, etc. that is supposed to come in a super burrito.
