Today I had the pleasure of eating lunch at La Corona. I must say it was one of the better restaurant experiences I've had in quite awhile. I was seated immediately by staff who were extremely friendly and attentive. As I was being seated, 3 different staff members came to check on me, asked if I liked my table, and then took my drink order. My tea glass never got less than half full before it was refilled. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean. The food was delicious and was served piping hot. The portions were generous to say the least! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The chips were crispy and the salsa was tasty and had just the right amount of spice. Again, I cannot say enough about the wait staff....every one of them were extremely personable and helpful. When my waiter, Carlos found out my father was in the hospital, he expressed genuine concern for his well being and asked questions that showed he truly cared. All in all, it was a great experience and I cannot wait to come again!!! read more

I was so hopeful after seeing how many stars were given from the reviews. My friend had the enchiladas de mole and he said that they were great. Mine was okay. The food was terrible! The enchiladas al carbon were the worst. The meat was so overly marinated to the point that it had no taste and felt like if you were eating tofu. The green enchiladas were bitter very little flavor. The rice was not good had a bitter taste and the portion size was terrible about half a cup. The refried beans had no flavor whatsoever. I cook Mexican food and eat a lot of Mexican food and this restaurant is by far the worst I ever ate. How does it have over four stars it must be the alcoholic drinks which I did not have. Food and service were awesome. Drinks were way too strong. I get trying to make a strong drink but It was not drinkable. My husband loved the food, I loved the service. Presentation was also great. Just not a $174 meal for three people in my opinion. read more

The food was delicious...not TEXMEX...at least for the items my friend and I ordered. Reminded me more of Mexican food I grew up eating in AZ. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. My husband and I were riding around, looking for something to eat but not sure of what we wanted. We rode around for a little and ended up at Vintage park. While there, I decided I wanted Mexican food, turned The corner and ran into this restaurant. We are very cautious not to be in overcrowded restaurants so this was the right fit for us. As we walked in we were welcomed by a nice host. As we sat and waited on our food, I was admiring the decor and the unique style of the benches (they are sculpted to resemble a tropical forest). It is nice and clean and the restaurant. The manager was a very nice and welcoming individual. I ordered the spinach and mushroom enchiladas and my husband ordered the shrimp caldo. Boy, boy, boy... I can almost salivate while thinking about how fresh, hot and tasty the food was. Must I say more? The place was awesome! The food was amazing! We ran into a jewel at vintage park.. If you want to beat the crowd of the other Mexican restaurant down the strip, this is nice, calm, homey place to go to. The food is awesome! And the people are nice. My Husband said that we will be coming back as the experience was more than delightful. :) read more

This is a must stop spot!! Food is large portions and comes out hot and fresh. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Not to mention they just might have the best Margaritas around. I will be back time and time again. Only negative is that they do not have outdoor seating. read more

I checked in to another Mexican restaurant with a 40 minute wait... I walked around to burn off time and stumbled across this Mexican gem restaurant... I opted to have dinner and I was pleasantly surprised! I have this thing with tortilla chips and judging the food... If the chips and salsa is good the food will be good... This is prefectly applicable for this establishment... Margarita great and the nachos amazing... I opted to have the shreeded cheese switched to queso on my nachos... The serving size and the meat amount was plentiful more than enough to share! All was very fresh and flavorful... I would highly recommend trying!!! Plenty outdoor seating space as well!!! read more

The vintage/spring area needed a place like this and I'm so glad I've experienced it myself. I'm not a fan of the flavored margaritas bc I don't like sweet and sour. But the food is where it's at!! We had the queso and fajitas. Love love love the fresh colorful bell peppers in the fajitas!! I was so full after dinner and didn't try dessert. But I definitely want to go back and try some breakfast tacos. They offer breakfast on the weekends starting at 8 I believe. Staff is super friendly. read more

Absolutely impressed with La Corona! My friends just moved nearby, and we saw that La Corona had good reviews online, so we decided to try it. Really glad we did because I just can't say enough about how great it turned out to be! First of all, very clean inside! Second, super fast service. My friends ordered a simple single taco for their child and the server brought it out ASAP so the kiddo wouldn't have to wait. Margaritas were served within minutes of ordering. THE QUALITY OF FOOD! Handmade tortillas, crispy and rich beef chunks, the empanadas were loaded with flavor, the queso was STEAMING. The jalapenos were crispy in the pico de gallo, and the tomatoes had good flavor. The margaritas were strong. Every dish tasted fresh and real, straight from a kitchen and not at all pre-made. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We were checked on several times, and one of the servers came over immediately to help clean up when the kiddo knocked a water cup on the floor. The Manager checked on us and was very hospitable as well. We were super happy! My friends are very glad to have found a spot so close to their home and I know I'll be visiting them again so we can go eat at La Corona. Highly recommend. read more

Out of all the Mexican restaurants in vintage Park this is by far the most authentic restaurant. Their chili con queso is amazing it's actually a white cheddar cheese. I ordered three flower tacos with fajita and refried beans they were amazing my girlfriend ordered a chicken in a cheese sauce which was absolutely delicious the Michelada's here are beyond amazing they're not too spicy and they have a great flavor. The owner is very friendly and the staff is very attentive I highly highly recommend this place if you want a authentic Mexican meal. read more

Just randomly ran upon this place, looking for somewhere less crowded. We were so surprised at just how good this place was. Service was superb and everyone wore mask which is important to me. 2nd & last visit. Extremely disappointing. The people who work here are very nice and we thought of them when picking an place to eat dinner tonight. Sadly, we learned that they aren't as concerned about customers or the public. 1. They let 6 ppl in without masks on while we were there. Nothing was said. They looked the other way. 2. Person I was eating with said the beef steak was tough and had a strange flavor. He told the owner / manager. Nothing was done - except he told us that they cook the meat around 5pm and we were there at 8pm. 3. Asked for a side or pico de gallo. Upon receiving the bill, they charged for it. Extra charge was never mentioned. Prices are high, food was good the first visit. But the safety risks associated with letting people in without masks means this is somewhere to avoid. read more

Fellow Yelpers. Do not believe the ratings for this place. I tried to enjoy the meal at La Corona. There were too many negative things about the food to mention. For the sake of time, I will mention the meat they use. Not only did the beef have a rubbery texture, it also tasted like it. However, I still struggled through the meal until I gave up because my son was treating. As we finished, I noticed the bill. For 3 of us, the total was 70 dollars. For what? The food was not that good. To the owners of La Corona, take pride in your product. You have a great location with excellent staff. You just need to invest on better recipes and better ingredients. read more

We had the beef enchiladas and the veggie fajitas. Both were delicious and so much food that we took hall of both dishes home. Service was excellent. The interior is very artfully Mexican. It is not as noisy as a lot of places. The menu was larger and more varied than most Mexican restaurants. O a scale of one to five, I would rate it an eight. read more

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

YUMMY mango margarita at Pappasitos would have given us the same buzz & tasted better than 8 happy hour margaritas here. I used to love the in house made flour tortillas at Teo. Tonight they were tough & uneventful. We arrived on a week night when they were not busy. Neither of the salsas were as good as they used to be.The water pitcher didn't even have ice when they refilled the water. I have absolutely no desire to return. Why would I?

A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
