My husband and stopped by this restaurant for lunch while touring the Eiffel Tower area of Paris. It was not too crowded, so we were seated quickly. We ordered the Calzones and they were not quite what we expected. We were in a foreign country, so it is all a wonderful adventure. After checking into our hotel, which was nearby, we stopped in for a quick snack to hold us over until our evening dinner reservations. It was still early afternoon, so there were very few customers inside. In fact, the dining area was actually empty, so we had the entire dining area to ourselves. Aside from us, there were only about one or two people seated at the bar. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated. The waiter brought water to the table and made a little friendly small talk. The service was good. The waiter was efficient. The ambiance was nice. It was a pretty typical cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. However, it was relatively cold and cloudy, so it was not a day conducive to outdoor seating. We were famished from traveling, so we ordered two Margherita pizzas just in case they were personal size pizzas. The food was served relatively quickly. The pies presented nicely and tasted delicious. The crust was good and the flavor was perfect. The oil addition provided an extra bit of something to the pizza in a good way. We ate some of the pizza and took the rest with us. Based on the experience, I would definitely return. read more

My husband and I were in France for a couple of weeks and went with a friend who came down from Lens. Our friend had a craving for spaghetti, which he ordered with a red wine and my husband ordered the same with a beer. I had a small salad and toasted bread topped with cheese, pesto and tomatoes and a Coke. No complaints on the food, which was quite good. We would've returned had it not been for the very poor service. It took a while for our waiter to acknowledge us, and when he arrived at our table, his stomach was practically popping the buttons off his shirt. He stood under a ceiling lamp so it fit comically atop his head. I believe this was unintentional, but nonetheless, it was distracting. The food was brought in a timely manner, but no bread was served, which is very odd here and especially when my husband and our friend had pasta. When we wanted to request our tab, we waited and waited and watched our waiter stand outside the restaurant smoking a cigarette and talking on his phone. When he re-entered the restaurant, he cleared dirty plates from tables and finally came over to our table. My husband told me later that he noticed our waiter did not wash his hands when he re-entered after smoking outside. I don't believe he washed in between table clearing and serving, either. This was our fourth trip to France, and we've eaten at quite a few establishments. We've never had an experience quite like this one and I felt compelled to share it. Maybe the restaurant can make some improvements as the service is the only thing lacking. read more

we went here because it was right across from our hotel. they came running out when we were looking at the window and handed us a menu, it seemed like great marketing but we watched it happen with every person who walked by. it was a little pushy and disturbing especially for Paris. we ordered a $120euro bottle of Deutz Blanc de Blanc but when she brought it to the table and showed us it was L'Allier we said no Deutz, she said "le meme chose" and quickly opened it and started pouring. clearly it was not the same. we have never had an experience like this we live in France and we're shocked and disappointed we will never go back and encourage people to pick another place that is honest like LaTerrasse one block away read more

We absolutely loved our evening here! The food was fantastic and the staff are warm and friendly. We're just so happy to have found a great Italian restaurant in our favorite corner of the 7th. Super easy to get to by the École Militaire métro stop. We both had the spaghetti bolognese and would recommend it to anyone. Next time, the pizza! It looked amazing! This place is amazing! The location is great for tourist. It is close to Eiffel Tower, about 5 minutes walk away from the Wall of Peace. There are many restaurants in this area, but lots of them are "for tourists": boring menu for making quick food and ok service. However, this place is great for both tourists and local. It is next to a metro station so it is easy to get to. The menu are a blend of French food and international taste. I came here in the afternoon so I didn't order any entree. I simply asked for mulled wine and apple tart with ice cream. I was not really a mulled wine before but this one changed my mind. The apple tart has crispy layers outside and the tart melt in your mouth instantly. The service is great also. read more

It was ok- but be aware of your bill. This was the second of three restaurants where we were overcharged.

We ate here a couple times last summer and a couple more times this summer - everything was amazing each time. Steak frites cooked perfect, great pizza, duck confit - only thing better than the food was the service. Every time - servers were great! Amazed ratings aren't better - hope this helps! read more

We walked for hours this September looking for someplace to eat as there was a strike. We saw a few couples outside this establishment drinking wine so we hoped they might be serving some food. Disgusting service. Don't go. Walked in on a quiet evening with an irritable, hungry 2 year old, looking for a quick bite to eat and rest. Ate and paid quickly, but was "told off" at the end for not spending enough money. After behaving cold towards us during the entire meal, our waitress ended the evening by telling us that the manager was "angry with us" for not spending enough money, and thus refused to give us a to-go box. What??!!! Our crime: we only ordered one pizza. "For a party of three," we were told (one of whom is an infant), "it is customary in Paris to order three meals, so maybe you will have learned something for the next time you go to a restaurant here". These are direct quotes. The audacity!! My husband gave her a piece of his mind, but also we just wanted out of there on an already difficult night with our kid. Lousy attitude, rude, no signs confirming their bogus statement, and totally kid-unfriendly. Don't give them your business. Pizza was rubbish, too. read more

The food and service is no good. I ordered the chicken burger. The avocado in it was liquid and had poor flavor. The chicken was so thin you could barely tell it was in there. It was also flavorless and resembled cardboard. The host brought us to the table. We asked him for water when we sat down but he never brought any. We asked a different waitress for water, again no water was brought to us. It wasn't until we asked for the bill that she realized she forgot the water, but at this point we were already headed out the door. IN ADDITION, the waitress saw we didn't eat our food and asked why. We told her it was not good and she asked why it wasn't good. Then all she did was bring the bill and say "sorry" with no attempt to offer something else or drop a dish from the bill. read more

Only come here for drinks!!! This place does have a English menu and is friendly but beware of undercooked meats! Understanding that the French like their meat "bleu", this restaurant fails to cook any meat higher than rare even when we asked for medium and well done. For example: the burgers featured on their menu. I had to send it back (a big no no in French dining culture) and it still came back rare. As punishment, the wait staff staved off from coming over to our table and didn't give us the check for 20+ minutes after asking for it. I like my meat rare but even I couldn't take the state of my hamburger. Not all French restaurants behave like this, and this restaurant doesn't represent French cuisine. Be warned. We had a meal here recently and the waitress claimed a tip was not included. We have been here for over a week and not a single restaurant in Paris has said this. I have read other reviews on this restaurant now claiming the same thing. Also, we asked for water and were told the only two options were carbonated water or mineral water. Once we received our glass bottle of water, she brought out tap water to three other tables. Everyone in the city has been very accommodating to us being from outside of France but tonight was obviously different. If only there were an option to give zero stars. I went with a tired child battling jetlag, and saw that the clientele was mostly similarly weary tourists. After a mediocre pizza and lukewarm service throughout, I asked for a to-go box for the rest of the pizza. I was then informed by the waitress that (these are direct quotes): "We will not give you a box because the manager is very upset with you that you are a party of three and ordered only one pizza. This is not customary in Paris and you should remember that." This is my fourth trip to Paris, and the first time I have heard such a bogus statement.
