Unfortunately, their cup must have been defective because it started leaking. The barista noticed and poured me a new cup of coffee. The cup does looked pretty solid however, better than the ones at Dunkin' Donuts. The coffee was smooth and didn't have a bitter taste. I also ended up getting a lox on an everything bagel. I really liked how packed it was. There was lox, cream cheese, capers, onions. They toasted the bagel perfectly.

I cannot fault the Brickhaus for any of that at all, and I highly recommend that everyone visit here, especially on Saturday and Sunday mornings when there is live music. Particularly when the recurring jazz trio is there who really blows it out of the water. All that being said, I have noticed that in the ensuing years since their expansion, the quality of the experience and the food has declined far beyond what I used to live about this place. The coffee and drinks are still as good as they ever were, but the overall food and service quality of the 'restaurant' portion. Has changed, and has resulted in my infrequency of visits. I do highly recommend the the rösti potatoes and always whatever specials they are running, but some of my go-to favorites like the avocado toast simply are not what they used to be and are not worth it. She was incredibly welcoming, patient, and took the time to explain the different coffee blends they offered. We ended up getting the Colombia blend, which my husband absolutely loved. Now, why do I regret coming here? Because this was, without a doubt, the BEST chai latte I have ever had in my life. It completely ruined every other chai latte for me. I must say that with the hectic feelings that surround airport traffic and frustrations, Peet's is a nice place to stop to catch your breath. Right after you pass through security on your ways to Gates A-E there is this small coffee shop that is assuring you they will supply you with the fuel for the morning. From one that frequents Starbucks, I can't say the coffee or food choices are better...however...the service, exceptional. Especially for a location that deal with people always in a hurry and in "crazy" mode, this Peet's crew sure keeps on their toes. I have always been greeted with a smile and "what can I get for you this morning baby?" The past two previous visits through here I have also had my puppy, Haley, and she gets much attention from the staff. She is also offered water to go in case she is thirsty, such a nice touch. This time around I ordered a double shot and a yogurt parfait (Black raspberry with granola and raisins) and it was delightful. My double shot came out within a minute and while I was fixing it at the milk/sugar station, one of the staff came over to package my yogurt, get me a spoon and put my water with napkins in a to-go bag (that was suggested, not requested). I guess I looked like I was strugglin' with a bag, coat, puppy and puppy bag ;o) SO thoughtful, it actually made my day. I think that if there were a Starbucks placed next to this location, I would choose Peet's...they have impressed me with their personalities and being a customer service freak, makes me happy!
