Great coffee, large space with nice views of City Hall. I think the coffee actually tastes better here than at the one in my home state.
Not a coffee drinker, but try the new s'mores drink from the staffs recommendation. I told them I needed a caffeine boost, but definitely prefer a very sweet drink. The new small drink definitely fit that - honestly tasted like chocolate milk (I think it had oat milk) and definitely gave me a boost Would recommend for other coffee newbs
This is a solid choice for coffee in Center City, although I often find myself thinking I maybe wish I'd gone with another option after I visit. There's not a consistent reason, but just random little disappointments. It's often quite busy, but the line moves fast. It's kind of hit or miss for me how friendly the baristas are - sometimes I get a smile and a greeting and sometimes they seem irritated by the line. Orders are filled quickly and accurately. If you're lucky enough to find a seat (they're often all filled, especially at peak times) you might not find it super comfortable. I find the seats hard and the tables at an odd height compared to the seats. They have a restroom for customers, and they also have wifi, which I think may be a somewhat recent addition. The baked goods are fresh and good quality, and the coffee is generally good. I like their rotating seasonal flavors of draft lattes. I stopped in recently for a Strawberry Mocha draft latte, which I remembered really liking when they were on tap last year, but left disappointed this time. The latte was lukewarm when I received it and the top inch or so of the cup was all foam. But the biggest issue was that I didn't taste the strawberry flavor at all. It tasted just like a regular latte with no flavoring. I would have wondered if the barista had given me the wrong drink, but she repeated the name of the beverage when she handed it to me, and it was correct. I regretted ordering the larger size and ended up dumping the last third or so down the drain. Not sure I'll be tempted to swing in again anytime soon where there are so many other choices within a short walk.
I've always wanted to try a coffee from an actual brick and mortar La Colombe. I've only experienced the canned versions at home, so I was excited to be in an area with a few of them. This particular spot was in the busy corporate area and flooded with people on their way to work. The space itself was cozy, hip, and petite. Staff was friendly and they give you an actual spoon/saucer to add any sweeteners or milk to adjust. My drinks were good, but simple.
Always love stopping at a La Colombe. This location was packed (it was a Sunday morning). The line was moving quickly, the staff was friendly, and we waited less than 5 min for our drinks which I was impressed with since it was crowded. There is limited seating so we took ours to go. I got a cappuccino and it was delicious and the perfect temp! Got to enjoy it while walking around city hall!
We stopped here to grab a drink to enjoy while watching the parade. I got a matcha with vanilla and my husband got the s'mores latte on tap. Both were very good, the staff was very nice and personable. It the most we spent at one coffee shop on 2 drinks, with both being over 7 dollars. My normally grumpy and frugal husband, agreed it was worth the 15 dollars.

It has a lot of the hallmarks of a coffee joint. Lots of wood and reclaimed steel for seating and tables. But most of their drinks are from a tap, and they prepackage most of their other goods. Their signage is more professional than one would expect for a coffee place, and it's very bright. It's not bad coffee. The latte I ordered was done with espresso from a machine, and it was only somewhat bitter. It wasn't great, but it was better than something like a Dunkin or Wawa. It's coffee if you need coffee. It's built to be rapid fire, and there's little soul left. There's a lot of coffee places to try, so this might be the weaker option to go to. But it's close to city hall it's decent, that may be enough for you
I've always wanted to try a pastry from La Colombe, and I've finally got the chance. I think I'm more disappointed that I didn't buy two instead of one. This muffin was not your average muffin; it had the consistency of pound cake, but it was light and airy. The lemon curd was sweet and zesty. It paired well with the blueberry, cutting the sweetness, it was perfectly balanced. The servers were very friendly, and the ambiance was pristine.

I loved the quick service, getting a cereal milk latte on draft (that tasted like Honey Grahams!) and my kiddo was hooked on the iced tea after we walked around a local parade in the heat. The pastry options were awesome, as she had a croissant and I had a delicious strawberry vegan donut! Surprisingly it wasn't dry and tasted great!
Seasonal Draft Latte (20oz) was DELICIOUS and perfect. I think this one was hazelnut, the consistency was perfect - especially on a HOT 90+ degree day. I just love the consistency of La Colombe's coffee, I first discovered this brand at Trader Joe's (canned versions), so I took my mom here while we were visiting Philly! The store itself is really pretty inside as well! The coffee was really fast (I mean, it is on tap LOL).
This coffee shop is the epitome of the hustle and bustle of a big city. I got there around 10 am on a Thursday morning and the place was absolutely packed, the line almost out the door. It had a sort of energy that got you excited for a new day. I'll be honest... I'm from out of town so it could be an experience specifically of a tourist... but I have an inkling that the energy is contagious and felt by all that walking in their doors. There was a ton of seating, a giant counter where you order, then wait at the bar for your drink. Despite the line being long, they are wizards at getting customers through. I ordered a latte with almond milk. I wish they had soy milk, but it was still just what I needed that morning. My boyfriend also got a latte and we split one of the blueberry pop tarts we noticed when we ordered. The pop tart was awesome! Anyhoo, solid coffee spot. I'd go back.
Located near SEPTA station and City Hall which makes it a convenient place to walk to when in Center City. Small cold brew is about $6 which is around the average I pay elsewhere. You can ask for a pump of vanilla and it didn't appear that I was charged for that. Be aware if you ask for space (to add cream), you will get more than you probably need so just say no and drink it down a little if needed. Menu is somewhat limited, so don't expect lots of sugary flavors that you would find at Starbucks. They have a small pastry case with items averaging in the $5 range. Staff is courteous and efficient. There is a little indoor and outdoor seating and free wifi. read more

Stopped by to get some iced coffee but the seasonal strawberry matcha was calling my name. It was flavorful and I did enjoy it, but it had way too many ice cubes, after a few sip, all that was left were the ice. The blueberry muffin was perfectly sized and flavorful read more

Came here to get some work done but found out they did not offer Wi-Fi after I already ordered. I used my cell phone hotspot which wasn't ideal. The interior was pretty spacious and good for working with outlets along the wall. I got an iced latte that was on point for the hot humid day in Philly. I chose whole milk. They give a long spoon to mix with. The pastries didn't look bad either. Location is right next to city hall and along the bustling street. read more

The Croissants are amazing!!!! I am a croissant snob. Once you had a good one. You can go back to the mass produced store bought ones that you find in the market, DD or Panera. I am only disappointed that I discovered this place on the last day in Philly. I guess I will have to take some to go!!! read more

The coffee at this place is quite good, second in my opinion to Blue Bottle in quality (I know, it's a chain, but they have really good coffee). The barista at La Colombe offered me a sample of the draft latte in a cute little express cup, which tasted almost like bitter coffee ice cream - delicious. The regular latte I got had nice subtle flavor too. My complaint is that this place is not great for doing work. Most of the seating does not have backs, the tables are a bit too jumbled to feel peaceful and organized. Great for a place to catch up with someone, not so much to study. Nice view of City Hall across the street! read more

Looking for a breakfast place and our hotel concierge suggested this place. Cute. Good coffee but it's not a breakfast place people. I wouldn't even want to hangout and have coffee here for that matter. Seating is uncomfortable. No food is warmed up even if you request it. No knives to cut your cold breakfast sandwiches. But hey, so comforting to know that everyone in the restaurant is vaxxed but if you're just taking to go, no need to show vaxx id. Not impressed. Not coming back. read more
