    Iced Chai*

I ordered an ice chai yesterday and had to go outside to get something. Came back and paid for my coffee only to take 2 sips and 3/4ths of my drink was gone! The drink was entirely of ice! Was so disappointed as I basically paid $5 for 4 sips of drink. I was waited on by two young girls, they seemed to be annoyed that I had to step out for a moment and made my drink while I was gone.

Small and simple pastry/coffee shop in the pocket downtown of Ridley Park near Taylor Hospital. I found metered street parking (can pay by app or with a quarter/s each = 20mins). The inside is small, but inviting with some tables for chatting, using a device on their free wifi, sitting up along the window for people watching, etc. The small fireplace along the wall gave a nice visual touch along with the plants. I tried their Americano coffee twice and find that it tastes like regular boring Dunkin coffee. I also had an espresso and a cortado. Both of those espresso based drinks had much better flavor than the Americano and hit the spot. Their desserts/pastries are nicely displayed and there is quite a variety - Danish, cannoli, tarts, at times about a dozen different cakes by the slice, cream puffs, croissants, baklava, eclairs, pavlova, macaroons, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, turnovers, bear claws and scones. (apologies if I missed any) I enjoyed a slice of ricotta/pistachio cake with my cortado and Americano on my first visit. They also offer breakfast sandwiches served on croissant or ciabatta until noon and some sandwiches. The staff was nice, very attentive and fast, but a bit robotic and short. They gave recommendations and eventually cracked a smile. I enjoyed my visits to Ardour and would repeat if in the area. It's a good addition to the area. Thanks guys!

Consistently delicious pastries, food and coffee. MUST TRY the croissant/pastries with fruit cream is absolutely delicious - very light but super flavorful not heavy at all. Ambiance is very modern and clean. Nice spot for taking cute pictures of your coffee or catching up on some work! Tables and barstool seating available overlooking the little town of Ridley Park. Meter parking rightoutside.

A cute little coffee & pastry shop just around the corner from the hospital. I stopped by before work to grab an almond croissant, which was flakey, not too sweet, and very tasty. While I didn't purchase any drinks this time, they have a solid menu with both your regular coffee drinks and some creative options too. Their selection of pastries is incredible -- I'll have to come back another time to try their tiramisu croissant or their peach turnover. They also have a selection of cakes and fruit tarts for celebrations. There are a few small tables and there was soft jazz playing in the background. There is also wifi available for guests. I highly recommend stopping by for a quick pastry stop, a study session, or for a meet-up with a friend!

Lovely pick me up spot for espresso based coffees and pastries--nice alternative to that larger chain coffee shop. Excellent service and a nice selection of European style pastries--took away a star since the only gluten free option was the chocolate mousse (which was very rich and chocolatey). They also have breakfast sandwiches and tea based drinks as well. I'll be back to try some other offerings. Good to know: They have a few tables for two inside to sit at and an outside table as well.

Cannoli with sprinkles, which I thought were chocolate chips. I've ever seen a cannoli with sprinkles.

My sister-in-law has been telling me about this bakery so yesterday I decided to check it out. I was surprised at how tiny it was, it's just not what I think of when I think of a "bakery." Their selection is quite small and I would describe this more as a cafe than a bakery. At any rate, I snagged three things: 1. A chocolate chip cannoli 2. A peanut butter chocolate mousse cup 3. A slice of opera cake When I got home and closely examined the cannoli I was shocked to find CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES on both ends. SPRINKLES??? ON A CANNOLI?? I was instantly infuriated. But then I ate it and realized that there were indeed real chocolate chips on the inside with the mascarpone filling, so I was able to forgive the sprinkle transgression. It tasted fine, but you can tell that they do not fill their cannolis as they are ordered since the shell was a bit soft. You can easily up your cannoli game by filling the shells as customers order them. Onto the opera cake: it was good! I don't have anything other to say than that. It was good. The peanut butter chocolate mousse thing was definitely the best thing I had. It was delicious, top to bottom. I have zero criticisms of it whatsoever and will likely see it in my dreams at night. I was torn between a 3 and 4-star rating for Ardour. I think it's a little misleading to call themselves a bakery when they're sooooo tiny, and their offerings are available at other, bigger bakeries nearby (Cocco's Gelateria, Traub's Bakery, Maria's Prime Time, etc.). If Yelp did half-stars, they'd definitely earn a solid 3.5 from me. I think Ardour is best for those looking for a coffee and a pastry and not for those looking for a bigger selection of baked goods. It's in a cute little part of town and would be nice to grab a treat and take a walk to see what else the shops nearby have to offer.

I found a Ridley Park gem! I can tell there's a strong Parisian influence to their bakery from the menu and decor. I came around 10 AM and there were already people sitting down having their morning coffee and a long line for their baked goods. So many things looked delicious, and I ordered a bunch to go. Here's my ranking of everything I ordered: chocolate croissant, iced almond milk vanilla latte, macarons (crème brûlée, pistachio, coffee), chocolate dipped cannoli, and cream puff. I think this is one of the best chocolate croissant I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot! It's so airy, you can see the layers as you take a bite, and there is a right amount of chocolate filling. The macarons were baked perfectly, the cookie was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. My dad enjoyed his cannoli and said it reminds him of Termini Bros' cannolis. The cream puff was alright, I wish the puff pastry was a bit more airy but the cream was just the right amount of sweetness and airiness. I highly recommend trying their pastries! Regarding their drinks, they have the basics on their menu: cappuccino, latte, americano, etc. My latte was great, I can taste the strong espresso flavor (which is rare with lattes because it's usually diluted out) and the vanilla wasn't overpowering. Keep in mind that the only milk substitute they have is almond milk. There's a lot of metered street parking (30 mins time limit). If you're in the area, support their small business!

The bakery has delicious pastries and is a welcoming place. The coffee drinks are fairly good, but as good as the bakery items.

Dearest Gentle Readers,…read more It is with a heart full of both delight and delectable satisfaction that I report upon my greatest indulgence in the wee hamlet of Havre de Grace--a quaint establishment by the name of Les Petits Bisous. Its sweet storefront is nestled on the corner of Washington and Congress where, rumor has it, the very air carries a whisper of sugar and butter. What a charming revelation this shop has proven to be! Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked confections. It is as though the very essence of Paris has taken residence here, and who could resist such an invitation? The macarons--oh, those heavenly morsels! A truly exquisite array of flavors, from the traditional French vanilla to the more daring Mon Cheri, each offers an ethereal crisp bite followed by a soft, delicate interior. Truly, these little jewels could charm even the most discerning of palates. The éclairs are nothing to dismiss either--puffy, golden, and crowned with the most luxurious glaze, they are filled with a rich, velvety cream that promises to undo all notions of restraint. One could almost forgive the baker for such decadence, for the éclairs are simply beyond compare. And yet, this bakery does not rest upon the laurels of merely two offerings. No! Emily extends her talents to a variety of treats (many gluten free), each one more tempting than the last. She is kind, professional, and lends her talents to the tutelage of others in culinary pursuit. Truly, she is one of a kind! To write further, dear reader, would be to risk losing one's dignity in the process--though these sugary delights are, of course, a pleasure worth losing oneself to. In conclusion, let it be known that Les Petits Bisous has, without a doubt, earned a permanent place in my heart, if not my waistline. Yours ever indulgently, Lady Whistledown(ish)
