I especially recommend the sashimi salad which came with this amazing mustard sauce? and miso and butterfish!! We got fried chicken but that was pretty normal. Nothing special. It's quite difficult to find a good sushi place in rome especially if your from San Francisco and our standards on ethnic food are a bit higher than the quality in Italy usually available, I will be back again for sure! Unfortunately I'll have to save up.

You pay for drinks separately. You can order as much times as you like, so if you have a big appetite, this is the place for you. There was also an english menu which was helpful. Our waiter was also really nice and attentive. We ordered: Chicken Fried Rice - This was okay, a bit soft but eatable. I've had better fried rice in NY, so it wasn't comparable to Japanese fried rice I've had in the past. Chicken & Vegetables - This was a stir fry of veggies & chicken but it tasted like they added curry powder in it, which was extremely off-putting. I think they should just stir fry it in brown sauce/ teriyaki sauce. Avocado & Cucumber Roll - Pretty good. I would order it again. Cooked Salmon Roll -This was also really good. I wouldn't go back for the fried rice or chicken & vegetables but the sushi wasn't bad.

I found this place while studying abroad in Rome at John Cabot University. I am an avid…read moresushi/sashimi lover from the NY tri-state area who couldn't go my entire 4 months here without sushi. Very nice traditional Japanese sushi restaurant in Rome. The all you can eat offer for 20 euro is definitely worth it. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and made quick to order. The various appetizers all were tasty and obviously endless. The only thing that keeps it from a 5-star rating was the lack of selection when it came to actual rolls. Although very well made and delicious, their roll selection was not very extensive or "wild" which I look for in sushi restaurants. A nice touch was the inclusion of a Chinese menu which was also included in the 20 euro price and all of them looked very fresh and delicious. I had the spicy shrimp and rice noodles selections which were both made very well. I will definitely be going back very soon!

I'm a big fan of Japanese food, having stuck to more traditional restaurants in the past to get my fill of sashimi, one of my favourite elements of Nippon cuisine. Imagine my delight upon understanding that I could order unlimited sashimi here (I was under the impression that certain, more expensive dishes, might be limited). The night started well with a copious selection of sushi and sashimi, ordered in conjunction with my five fellow diners. It's AYCE, so I focus on the fish, overlooking other delicacies that I usually enjoy, such as tempura and soba noodles. The seaweed is heavily vinegared without much other flavour. The tuna sashimi has no flavour at all, while the salmon is a little more tasty, probably due to its natural oil content. The experience is one of a feeding frenzy, without care for flavour or presentation: the sushi are fashioned expertly enough, but garlicky mayo and other California-style rolls are a bit of a turn-off. By the end of the evening, we've over-eaten and I have the sense of having binged for the sake of it, rather than enjoying what I usually consider an exquisite ethnic choice. Obviously, the restaurant's not to blame for the piggishness of the diners, but it's a formula I don't enjoy and which seems far from the central reason of why I go out for dinner.

A yes! Testacio! who does not love this party neighborhood!…read moreLast time i went here was back in 2012!! but hey i went to this place like twice a month so i can still review it! This is not like the American version of Chinese food, they have to improvise on a lot of things. That being said the food is still good and edible. The waiters did not speak English only Italian so this gives you an idea of how this part of town is not touristy at all. They still manage to communicate with us on what we want to order. A couple of times i been here with my friends and someone just pointed to what someone was eating to the table next to us and the waiter knew that's what we wanted haha good times. In terms of staff they all were friendly even tho we did not understand 90% of what they said. The restaurant was clean and they did not let those annoying street vendors in, you know the ones selling light up roses or some robot toy etc. There are a lot of restaurants in the touristy areas that WILL let those guys in but many do not and this is one of them. So if you want to eat your meal in peace this would be one of them. For sure try it and you will experience this American favorite in a whole new light.

The waiters at first weren't that welcoming but I think it was because they couldn't really speak English as they spoke Italian and mandarin. However once we spoke to them in mandarin they were more than willing to converse and help us out. If you do speak in English they do have some waiters that are able to communicate some words to try and help you out. Traveling through Europe there aren't that many places where we could find vegetables so coming to get what we were craving was great. I would recommend the pan fried dumplings, the beef and vegetables and some other Chinese hot plates. I had my doubts in the beginning and wasn't really planning to come here but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come again if I was ever in Rome and craving Chinese.

The tent seating was actually pretty pleasant. We expected it to be muggy but air flowed through very easily making it a comfortable space. The attached menu states their full name - They use an electronic ordering system so if you are not versed in using one, ask for a paper(plasticized) menu. One a few understand english so ask if someone who speaks can help you but the electronic system was pretty easy, but took a lot of time panning through so many options...you may or may not need help ordering!! The appetizer of Combo Tempura (can't remember what they called it) was good and the vegetables were very fresh, the breading was crispy and tasty but it came after the meal was almost over. Ask for it to come earlier so you can enjoy it while waiting for the meal if you prefer. Since I am literally in Rome, I didn't (When in Rome .....and all that) Irv ordered a chicken spaghetti which I could not find on the online menu ... I ordered 36 - SPAGHETTI DI RISO (GAMBERI) J81 - TEMPURA MORIAWASE TEMAKI SHAKE(Salmon) Both our plates were a mei fun noodle versus a traditional american spaghetti noodle. Both our plates were a little dry but tasted pretty good! They were not hot but just warm. That also disappointed me but we were so hungry after such a long day we just ate it quickly. I ordered one Temaki shake to sample their sushi. It came out shortly after placing the order online. It was fine ...just not as high quality salmon I had hoped for from this Sushi restaurant, so I was a little disappointed. The service was pretty absent. Some patrons got their food immediately and some waited a really long time. I expect a wait if there are no seats available but it was pretty scarce with only 3-4 occupied tables inside and out and 10 or so empty tables outside so unsure what took so long. The hostess/waitress never came back to our table after we asked for her help starting our online order except to bring the food 20 + minutes later. That was pretty disappointing. As we spoke English, I am sure they knew we weren't locals and could have made sure we didn't want or need anything or ask of we wanted more to drink. I observed the waitress talking to other patrons, inside and out, to check if they liked their food or needed anything. No such luck for us. ;( All water is bottled in Rome so you must choose still or sparking in Italy!! No restaurants serve from the tap! The menu had hundreds of sushi options and a smaller selection of food options but still quite a lot which included Japanese and Thai choices. Photos of the hard menu are included ...too many pages to photo all. IKR- large large menu!! There are so many options in Rome to eat Cantonese that I might try another as a comparison if I return but keep this open as an option. Happy eating in Rome!!
