Well the customer service was great! I ordered the Krab Rangoon, Boneless BBQ Spare Ribs, & Plain Lo Mein. Honestly the best thing I ordered were the rangoons like a 7.8/10, Spare Ribs 5/10, and Plain Lo Mein 4/10. Also the cleanness of the restaurant was great as well but overall it was just okay.

Okay, so like many people I always have a New Year's resolution to eat better so naturally I'm on a diet now, but one of my biggest guilty pleasures of all time is a good ol' Chinese buffet. Being that it was December 31st, I had to find one because, "New Year New Me" wasn't allowing myself back into one for a while (maybe). Anwho I hopped on old faithful here and found La China Blue Chinese Restaurant. From the outside and the location, to be honest, I almost left. I don't live in Orlando, but the plaza didn't feel the safest, but I figured, one: I'm hungry and two: what's the absolute worst that could happen at around 6pm on New Year's Eve? I go inside and still had a weird feeling. The place kind of feels like a Ponderosa or like a old steakhouse inside and not so much on the Chinese buffet side. I did notice pretty quickly that the buffet was pretty stocked and very clean, that was a sigh of relief honestly. I asked the waitress for an iced tea and she laughed and said they didn't have iced tea which was ironic because she was standing in front of two iced tea machines that were presumably broken? Anhow, I got a Mountain Dew as any good American does, took myself to the buffet and began to peruse. One thing to note is that they don't bring you silverware, it's located on the buffet. That took me a few minutes and a question to the server to figure out. Like I mentioned earlier, the buffet was really clean. I liked that they had Sesame Chicken on the buffet, which typically I don't see anywhere. I was a fan of their fried rice and their Crab Rangoon. I also liked their Sweet and Sour Chicken; especially the sauce that accompanies it. Not so much a fan of their wonton soup. I did not like the broth at all. Overall things were really tasty on the buffet. Temperature was pretty warm considering the buffet was not busy and presumably not being used much. Staff constantly cleaning the area. I was waited on pretty attentively and the woman who I assume to be the manager checked in on me a few times to make sure everything was going according to my plan which I appreciated for sure. Looks definitely deceived me here. Going into it I assumed I was in for something truly not good, but overall things were pretty good here. If you're in the area and need some Chinese food, definitely check it out. Come in or get it to go- either way I'm sure it's going to be pretty good.

Not exactly sure who wrote the other reviews, but this place was terrible. Went at 1pm and was one of only 2 tables inside and half of the entrees were empty with no sign of being refilled. Asked for hot tea, they had none. Asked for unsweetened iced tea, they had none. Wound up with ice water. The entrees they did have were okay. Nothing special, not horrible. But, even asking if they were going to refill the salt and pepper shrimp or the shrimp with vegetables fell on deaf ears.

I have seen this spot, pass it daily for work. I docked tonight was the night to try. The place is kept clean on this visit. The host is very nice and warm I her greeting. You can tell she is in tune with the community and customers that I seen as I placed my order. I had to get my usually; egg fu young, shrimp that is.. it was out in no time at all. The price with Crab Rangoon was 13.00. If I have opted for the buffet it would have cost 8.99. I have to say the food is good but I have had better. However, I love Chinese food and this did hit the spot. I suggest you give the place a go. A good business for the community

Yummmm. I've never been to the actual location, but just ordered Uber eats during coronavirus. The food you get for the price is amazing. It was well packed and delivered at the perfect temperature. I will definitely be back to eat in person once everything settles down. Definitely recommend.

This was my first time at this establishment. I am not from Orlando but I came here for lunch from Universal Studios. From the outside this establishment looks like a very shady place. But when you walk inside, it isn't that bad. The place is clean from the inside. It's a very quiet and self-serve place. You get your food yourself, obviously cause it's a buffet, but you also get your silverware yourself as well. The servers only offer you drinks, serve you ice cream, and pick up your discarded plates. They have a good selection for the food entree. The only problem that I have is the temperature of the food. The food look like it's warm, maybe even hot, while it's sitting in the tray but looks can be deceiving. The food was cold by the time I got to my table to eat. They have soup included in the buffet, but even that was cold. The only food that was the temperature it's supposed to be was the ice cream... I came here with my sister and my mom. My sister didn't like the food either and my mom was also complaining about the temperature of the dishes. My mom had their clams dish and said that they didn't clean it properly... that she could still taste the dirt... Another complain my mom had was their fried shrimp had the head and tail attached and wasn't even divined. Overall, the food taste-wise isn't bad, especially considering the prices. Would I come here again? Probably not. I would really recommend them to make sure their food is warm at least because I feel as if this factor affects their rating very much.

It was 30 minutes from our hotel, so I was hopeful that it wouldn't disappoint! We got there relatively early (20 minutes after they opened for the day), and nobody else was there, so that was kind of awkward, as was being told to order from a kiosk (or use the QR code at the table), rather than give my order to a human. But the kiosk allowed us to kind of 'shop' before making our decision, so that was good. Since we were the only customers, everything came out fast and fresh (in fact, his came out a few minutes before mine, so I had to steal his fries until mine came out, lol) Hubs got the Ultimate Smash Burger and Fries, which was delicious. Soft bun, big burger, delicious fries. I got the Chicken Dippers, and y'all - they were HUGE! And you got SIX of them! Well-seasoned and well-fried, with a flavor that I know I've had before (spice-wise), but I couldn't put my finger on. I ended up only eating two of the tenders, and brought the other 4 home for leftovers. The staff were all super-friendly and attentive. They gave me a box/bag for my leftovers, and bussed our trays when we were done. Seating is ALL tables, so if you're a "Booth Person" you might be bummed. But the seats were comfy, even on a bigger tushie like mine. Paper towels, salt & pepper, and ketchup were on the tables. The only 'con' for me was the hush puppies... it had pieces of corn in it. This is a personal preference, of course, but I like my HPs without pieces of corn or onions, so I didn't ding them for that! Great job to everyone here, everything was delicious. It's on my "Must Go Back" list for next time I'm in the area.

I ended up here and ordered wings and the Tricked Out Tater Tots to go. These took about 20 minutes to arrive, which left me three minutes to start dinner. Boo: next time maybe I should stick with truly fast food. I pulled out the top food container, which was the Tater Tots ... with no toppings at all. Wasting no time, I laid into them and ate almost half before I had to run. Later, I got home and had a chance to work over the rest of the meal. It was at that point that I discovered all the toppings (queso (with some jalapeno bits, slightly spicy but not bad for this spicy-avoider), sour cream, bacon (Mmm - Bacon!), and green onions. Once I got things put together, these were very good. I also was able to enjoy the wings (breaded originals), which I got with the Blackened Rub and blue cheese dressing. The rub wasn't at all spicy, but was fairly flavorful. The wings were cooked ok (nothing undercooked, but some maybe a little dry.) I'll try a different seasoning or sauce next time. Service was ok.

I've followed Chef Sean "Sonny" Nguyen from the beginning, and I honestly believe they serve some of the best ramen in Florida. I've recommended DOMU to countless friends over the years. Unfortunately, this isn't a review about the food. It's about how customers are treated. This past Friday, my wife, my two daughters, and I drove almost an hour to Dr. Phillips. We arrived at exactly 9:32 PM, almost 90 minutes before the posted 11:00 PM closing time, only to be greeted with a sign saying they were no longer accepting tables due to an extended waitlist. This wasn't the first time. It wasn't even the second or third. This is now the 4th or 5th time we've driven all the way there only to be turned away. What makes it even more frustrating is that the restaurant didn't appear to be overflowing with people. There were multiple empty tables visible inside, yet we were told they couldn't seat anyone else. At some point, this stops being bad luck and becomes a management problem. If demand is consistently exceeding capacity, then implement a reservation system or another predictable process. Customers shouldn't have to gamble on driving an hour with their family only to be told they can't eat. To be honest, it almost feels like maintaining an artificially long waitlist has become part of the restaurant's image. Whether that's true or not, that's certainly how it comes across after experiencing this repeatedly. Michelin recognition and great food can only take a restaurant so far. Hospitality is equally important, and repeatedly turning away loyal customers well before closing time is simply not acceptable. I sincerely hope Chef Sonny Nguyen sees this because I've supported DOMU for years and genuinely want them to succeed. But after being turned away for the fourth or fifth time, I can no longer recommend making a long drive unless you're willing to risk leaving hungry. Great food deserves great customer service. Right now, the customer experience isn't living up to the quality of the kitchen.
