Came here for my besties bday brunch. It was a large party of about 10 people. The vibes are dope, music and dj on point. The food and drinks were also great. Our server was really nice as well. My issue is with the way this is organized for brunch. They don't tell you that you only have a set time to sit in the celebration area. They rush you after you are done eating and saying happy birthday to leave the table because there's other ppl to celebrate after you. No warning just rushing. I feel they need to warn ppl of the time frame when they sit so it's a better and easier process. And also be nicer about it, they are super rude. One of my best friends set up my birthday here this weekend for about 15 people. We really did not know what to expect but figured we would all try something new. We had a 3:30 reservation with open bar lasting for two hours. I heard the later reservation is better so you can stay and not be rushed out for the "after party." It starts off pretty mellow, they brought us apps and we ordered a few hookahs for the table. The servers were on top of our group in the best way making sure everyone's glasses were filled with drinks without a need to hunt them down which is a typical experiences at most "open bar" establishments. Before you know it everyone is drunk and it turns into an entire club scene out of nowhere, it made me feel like a young kid again, it was an absolute blast! Absolutely, highly recommend this spot for brunch! Here's the key though: book your brunch for 3 PM so you can roll right into the party afterward. If you go too early, they'll eventually rush you out to prep for the next seating and trust me, you're going to want to stay and party! Don't say I didn't warn you. I've been here so many times I've had the entire brunch menu -- and everything is delicious. The brunch drinks are amazing, with plenty of options like flavored mimosas, sangria, and margaritas, and the staff keeps your cup full the entire time. The hookah is also one of the best it lasts the whole time (sometimes longer), and I usually only need one refill even after being there for 3-4 hours, plus it's super affordable. They have $70 for general admission or $120 for food and drinks but I guess that was a lie or the staff is VERY confused. We got the $70 general admission and they let us sit at a table and we had to pay for a bottle to keep sitting there but supposedly the buffet was included. As all nightlife venues the vodka bottle was super overpriced at $190. The hookah was a standard $35 (CASH ONLY). I was enjoying it for a bit of time and the music turned from salsa/bachata to reggaeton after midnight. My friend was getting really drunk so I decided to take her to the bathroom with me, since it was just us two. When we got back our bottle and hookah was gone. The hookah server did not understand me so he had a bottle girl help translate. He claimed that it was done when it wasn't even halfway done. They didn't even give us any time to return before taking it away. The manager came and basically claimed that that's what he said and did nothing for us. I find it completely ridiculous. How would my friend be able to go to the bathroom safely or be left at the table alone safely if she's drunk? The whole NYE event was a big scam. Keep that in mind. I left right after that. If you're looking for a LIT latin brunch spot, La Chiflada is that place! I came here with a group of girls on a Saturday for brunch and the place was PACKED! The rules are that you have 1.5 hours for bottomless mimosas with a choice of entree. If you want to stay longer, you have to pay for a bottle. I elected to go for the mangu, as did the other girls. The mangu was good, I just wish there was more of it. The portion sizing was alright, just don't come hungry; you may have to stop for a snack afterwards. What really got the party going was the hookah, I've never seen hookah prepared this way before, where the coals sat inside a hollowed out pineapple. That alone was so cool! After our 1.5 hours was up for our brunch time, we wanted to keep the vibes going so we elected to purchase a bottle of tequila. We had so much fun dancing here and I could not recommend this place more! In terms of location, La Chiflada is situated within a Paterson residential neighborhood so parking isn't the best. The bathrooms are SO small, only one stall and the manager wouldnt let us go upstairs he literally yelled at us. What a beautiful place! Great if you love latin mix music as the DJ (this was a Thursday night) was fantastic!! I went with a group for dinner at 8pm and we sat upstairs. Loud music but totally ok for talking, and the drinks were gorgeous! My strawberry margarita was delicious though expensive at $20. Taco Thursday was great as my chicken tacos were only $8 and excellent! Juicy seasoned pulled chicken on corn tortillas was shockingly yummy and a nice portion too! Solid first visit to La Chiflada! First and foremost, the biggest driver of my rating was the services provided by Isabel, the waitress/bartender. Came for lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly quiet. There are a number of tables will bar stools with a few booths and tables with seats. There was another table celebrating a birthday and the restaurant staff celebrated them with a dessert. Vibe: They open at 1pm on Saturdays. When I came, there weren't too many people in the restaurant and they played mostly Latin music. The DJ was doing a great job mixing but sadly there weren't enough people to benefit from the turn up. Apparently Sunday brunch is better than Saturday brunch but Saturday nights are the best. Will have to check it out for myself. Service: Isabel was our waitress and she was top notch from the moment she came to the table to the moment she provided the check! She was personable, made recommendations and even assisted with ensuring our drinks met our preferences. Major kudos to her! Food: They have a bottomless brunch option which offers 2-hour unlimited mimosas and an entrees for $35. Was well worth it for anyone who plans to drink. Thankfully, it wasn't busy so Isabel ensured we never saw the bottom of our glasses. Location: Parking in the area is a little difficult, which may present a challenge when it's busy. We got the bottle service at 11 already by 12:15 the waiter came and said she was going to bring us the check. I know the time exactly because I send my friend money so she can pay cash send it to her at 12:33 because they were rushing us to pay. At 1am one of the managers I believe the guy that offered us the hookah specifically goes to our table to ask the birthday girl "oh where is the after party?" Anyone knows what that means they be trying to play with you because they think you're drunk and especially that it was three 21 year olds they think because your young that your stupid. All that we still weren't going to let our night be ruined and our money be wasted. At around 2:15 we went to the bathroom came back and all the tables were empty. So we decided to head out I ordered the Uber at 2:27. I hosted my birthday here for Saturday brunch at 3pm and it was INCREDIBLE!!! They really meant it when they said it's the #1 Party brunch in the tri-state area. I got a complimentary personalized menu and face cut outs for my guest. The ambience was sooo fun!! They had confetti, balloons, Jell-O shots, hookah, girls dressed as grinches and guys dressed as Santa Clause dancing on the bar and the music was a mix of Spanish and hip hop, my favorite!! Brunch Club Sunday! La Chiflada is a total vibe. My friend and I came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived at 1pm without a reservation and there was already a line formed outside. Luckily we were immediately seated on the outdoor patio. Wow this place is big! There's several different rooms/seating areas, all with a different vibe and esthetic. The service here is top notch! As soon as we were seated we were greeted by our waitress. For 34.99 you receive an entree and 2hrs of unlimited mimosas and sangria. We started with guac & empanadas for appetizers which were on the table within minutes. Both were good with the star being the dipping sauce given with the empanadas (they should bottle it up and sell it). I had the steak, eggs & potatoes for my entree. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium and guess what? It was cooked medium! The potatoes were full of flavor, dressing on the salad had a little twang to it & my eggs were cheesy as requested. About the unlimited drinks.... Baby my cup was NEVER empty. I NEVER had to ask for a refill because my waitress along with any other waitress that walked by my almost empty cup would fill me up. The mimosas & sangria were both good but my fav was the passion fruit sangria. It was strongggggg but fruity. During our meal the Hookah guy started making his rounds. We decided to go with the Tropical Hookah. Pineapple head and free refills included for $70, cash only. You get your choice of entree, and as many drinks as you like from the menu. Drink options include bellinis, beermosas, mimosa margaritas, white wine sangria, lemosas, rose sangria floats, champagne mules, and raspberry mimosas. For my entree, I got the chorizo burger. It was decent. For decent food and weak drinks, I'd normally give 3 stars, but the service was AMAZING. Our server, Andres, was great. He made sure we got everything we needed. I actually got a decent buzz out of the drinks, even though they were all very weak. I managed to down 24 drinks within our 2 hour time limit for brunch. Had such a great time at their Brunch on Sunday... so they have street parking no lot around... they ID everyone who enters and checks bags. Most of the place has high tables and it does get crowded. If your not into loud music this place is not for you, great selection of music and entertainment. Our waitress was super attentive, never let my glass go below half with the unlimited passion fruit mimosas. I tried the sangria but didn't like it taste like watered down juice. I've been here for brunch on two different occasions! First time we sat upstairs and the second was downstairs (hence the different lighting). Overall both experiences were great! The steak and eggs come with breakfast potatoes under the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The Chorizo burger was a hit both time and the chicken and waffles was delicious. You might need more syrup but otherwise no complaints. Two hours of bottomless mimosas and the servers were on top of the refills good mix of music and the general vibe was awesome! Really bad experience. Be careful when paying the bill at this place, do not take your eyes out your credit card or cash , the staff is very good at scamming people. My friends paid part in cash and the rest in cc and waiter came back and said there was not any cash in there, when all saw the money was placed with the card. They refuse to check the cameras to verify the cash was there and when we said we were calling the cops the security crew got involved. I was really excited to try La Chiflada from all the instagram posts. It looked like a cool vibe in photos and despite hearing about bad service I decided to try it myself since it had been a while since my friend had that experience. I hoped for a different experience. I visited on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. Upon arriving around 8, they were only allowing outdoor seating until at minimum 9:30pm. It was cold that night and the guy at the door let me walk through to determine if the outdoor heaters were sufficient. I thought they were, so we agreed to stay but of course they didn't sit us anywhere near a heater and it was cold so that was annoying. We ordered a soda to start and it felt like it took forever. The service was not good whatsoever. We finally got a soda can and a cup of ice. I asked for a straw. To my surprise we got the straws quicker than I had anticipated but they were not wrapped and she was touching it with her bare hands but even better - she stopped at a table prior to ours so the straws were touching everything else she had in hand while she attended to the other table. We ordered a chicharron mofongo, buffalo wings, and a bandeja paisa. Surprisingly the best thing were the wings! The chicharron mofongo was pretty good but the chicharron itself didn't have much added flavor. The bandeja paisa was the most disappointing. It looked absolutely great however, nothing on that place had anything with flavor. Everything is tasteless and could've used seasoning. We requested hot sauce to add some flavor but they only had their own picante which was also not that great. Overall it was very disappointing. We asked for to go containers and the waitress put her bare hand INSIDE the container while explaining something about their containers which was also gross.
