Location: 3355 Harding Way, Lima Ohio Wrapped up a day trip exploring the Indian Lake area and chose La Charreada for a late lunch based on high Yelp review rating. Yelp did its job, as usual. We were seated immediately and the restaurant has a great vibe - comfortable seating, nice decor, and spotlessly clean. Our waiter was very attentive and gracious. We ordered the fresh guacamole as a starter and enjoyed a burrito platter and an enchilada platter (with rice and beans). Delicious flavor and huge portions The only real surprise was the fried topping on the guacamole. I think they were pork rinds... we tried a few but elected to go old school with tortilla chips. Service was fast. The food was really good. The menu is large - but I found every feature I was considering. This place has such great food! It's better than our hometown go-to. Wish they had a location close to us, but for now we will have to just settle for having it when we visit our kid at college. The soft corn tortillas are some if the best I have had! Same thing about their beans & tortilla soup. Everything is fresh, very well prepared, well seasoned & delicious. Turned out to be a hidden gem a few miles off the interstate. Small unassuming building but was full during lunch. Ordered steak and chicken fajita nachos and it did not disappoint! Wife enjoyed her huge quesadilla and the lunch special #10 was enough to split between my two young boys. We got the super burrito and the Chimichanga meal with queso cheese as our appetizer and they were both very good meals! They fried the chimichanga the exact way I like them... Which is extra crispy! Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I pass through Lima a few times a year and always stop somewhere in town for lunch, and this is by far the best spot I've tried. Quick and pleasant service, HUGE portions, everything fresh and really delicious. Going forward I'll definitely stop here every time I'm passing though. read more

Worst Mexican food ever. Ordered the fajita quesadilla and the meat had no flavor. Waaaay more veggies than cheese. My cousin had the enchiladas and the tortillas were not even rolled up correctly, it turned into a big soupy mess. Would not recommend. read more

The most rude and unprofessional owner and staf I have ever had the unpleasant experience in meeting. my family and I ordered take out and went into the restaurant to place the order so we would not have any confusion on the one special order of no tomato-based sauce on the enchiladas. The waitress said that she understands the container was marked correctly but it was not right. I called the restaurant for a refund and the owner was hostile and combative and continue to threaten me over the phone. I will never understand what has happened to costumer care and service. Very very happy with the food and service! We had a birthday celebration here for about 40 friends/family. The manager, Sergio, did a great job! We had one waitress for our event and she did a FANTASTIC JOB! She kept our guests' drinks filled, kept our tables clear of dirty dishes, and ensured our buffet was filled. We had a fajita bar (steak and chicken) with all the fixins and both flour and corn tortillas. The room was secluded and private, it was beautiful inside, clean, and comfortable. My girlfriend and I are currently still sitting in la Charreada enjoying the food, margaritas, and our amazing waiter Jose. After being ignored at another restaurant down the street, (a Japanese steakhouse about a mile away (I'm sure you can find it if you try)), we made our way down the road to La Charreada. The gold margaritas are the best I've had outside my own house or in Mexico itself. Our waiter Jose is great, not to say all the other staff walking around weren't also amazingly friendly to all the other guests. I can not stress enough that this may be the best most honest food in Lima. This may just be a little family owned Mexican restaurant, but watch your back city prime. My husband and I stopped in for lunch after reading the previous reviews. They have a huge menu. He ordered Huevos con Chorizo and I had the Chillaquilies from the lunch menu.. Both dishes were plentiful, served hot and were very tasty. He didn't ask for warm tortillas, but he will next time. I didn't ask for beans, but I will next time.
