My friends ordered the empanadas (delicious and would recommend), the whole fried tilapia ($20 for the platter which is good price imo). I ordered the meat entree platter which included fried pork belly, chicken, sausage, and beef. It was heavy, as expected, but both the tenderness and flavor were excellent. I'm not very familiar with Columbian food to rate this place objectively but overall I had a good time and would come back if I'm in the area.

They do gave finger foods, drinks coffee and fruit drinks, breads, pastries of many sorts. I was tempted to get a pastry but I stayed focused. The bread was actually good and tasted fresh they only concern which was a big one for me was that there was hardly any ham and cheese in it and I mean like barely none. I could have actually went with just bread as that's what I felt I received. Would I return maybe especially if I am in mood for something g sweet as the variety was plenty to choose from. I hate to say it, but as someone who isn't Hispanic, I've often felt like I wasn't welcome there. Whether that's intentional or not, that's how the experience has made me feel. No customer should leave feeling like they don't belong. I drive from Providence because the food is genuinely that good, but great food can only make up for poor customer service for so long. Sadly, I won't be returning. I truly hope they work on making every customer feel welcome because the food deserves the same quality of service.

The mondongo was tasty and had a good amount of tripe and the right thickness of the broth. I chuckled when I saw the side of banana, but honestly, it made for a good desert. The bandeja paisa brings a litte bit of everything and it all was cooked well. The lengua sudada was very tender and flavorful and the yucca was soft, with the sauce it was in giving it a really good flavor. The res apanada was a bit tough and the breading did not stick on too well, but overall the flavor was good and the breading was crispy which I enjoyed. The best part of it all was the prices. It is very affordable and you will leave full. The bakery is inexpensive and the items I have tried and good. They do have a large parking lot and it's free. While in the area, you could visit the Slater Mill (they have tours you could sign up for) or visit the public library. One thing to note is that the GPS might bring you to their old location a couple blocks up the street, so do a little bit of research for the address beforehand.

We started with the arepitas dulces which were delicious: sort of like little fried dough portions made of cornmeal topped with cheese and served with a sour cream dipping sauce. Totally would go back just for these. For an entree we had camarones al ajillo, which were nicely prepared (no tails) and served with a super fresh sauce that included great, fresh cilantro. We also had bottled beers which are reasonably priced at $5.20. Note that there is a surcharge for using a credit card so recommend bringing cash. Our server was also working the bar as well as our table in the dining room so was a little slow in checking on us for more drinks but no big deal, especially for a more casual place.

La Casona is a gem in Central Falls, RI specializing in traditional Colombian cooking. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with friendly staff, a clean environment, and an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. One of the standout features of La Casona is the parking lot, making it convenient for patrons to dine without worrying about parking hassles. The menu boasts a delicious array of Colombian dishes with good portion sizes. The overall dining experience at La Casona was delightful. The Bandeja (comes in small and large portions 4oz versus 8oz) was delicious. Lots of flavor and variety. The only thing is the food came out cold, especially the rice. We were surprised to be served bottled water (we weren't informed it was bottled) instead of tap water and therefore charged for it. It would be helpful for the restaurant to inform patrons upfront about the choice of water to avoid any unexpected charges. The cocktails are a little overpriced for the restaurant type. Overall we would return to La Casona! Whether you're craving authentic Colombian cuisine or simply looking for a spot to unwind, La Casona is definitely worth a visit. Service was friendly, but it took a really long time to get even our drinks. 5/10 would not recommend for vegetarians/vegans.

Since I'm not familiar with all of the combination plates, I ask questions, but instead of being helped, I'm charged separately for everything and receive very small portions. I hate to say it, but as someone who isn't Hispanic, I've often felt like I wasn't welcome there. Whether that's intentional or not, that's how the experience has made me feel. No customer should leave feeling like they don't belong. I drive from Providence because the food is genuinely that good, but great food can only make up for poor customer service for so long. Sadly, I won't be returning. I truly hope they work on making every customer feel welcome because the food deserves the same quality of service.

That came with salad, rice, beans and a side of tortillas. We also had the caldo de marisco (seafood soup) and although not mentioned on the menu, our server mentioned that we could order a medium or large size. That came with a side order of rice. Fantastic soup! Restaurant is very lively and the noise level is high with groups enjoying their meals and having conversations. They have several televisions that were playing soccer games in the background as well as music playing in the background. A very energetic vibe.
