They put a bone in the taco. I hate to give negative feedback but my lunch break experience at this restaurant wasn't all that pleasant.

I really like the food here and it's not expensive. More of a Saturday at noon type of place.

They were tasty, but I can't even remember them after having the pupusas and chicharons.

The smell coming from the restaurant was amazing, so I decided to give it a try. My first experience was excellent--a gentleman helped me, explained the menu, and the food was incredible. Unfortunately, every visit after that has been disappointing. The service has been consistently unwelcoming. I often feel like I'm an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Since I'm not familiar with all of the combination plates, I ask questions, but instead of being helped, I'm charged separately for everything and receive very small portions. I hate to say it, but as someone who isn't Hispanic, I've often felt like I wasn't welcome there. Whether that's intentional or not, that's how the experience has made me feel. No customer should leave feeling like they don't belong. I drive from Providence because the food is genuinely that good, but great food can only make up for poor customer service for so long. Sadly, I won't be returning. I truly hope they work on making every customer feel welcome because the food deserves the same quality of service.

Parking can be challenging especially seeing this restaurant runs on Lonsdale Ave a busy street in itself. The line was out the door and that's where I stood waiting patiently. The love moves at a decent pace. Here finally my turn and I honestly had no clue what to expect or what they even really sold but I was hoping they had anything that contained ham and cheese and they did, Brad with ham and cheese for $3.50 I was surprised that was all. They do gave finger foods, drinks coffee and fruit drinks, breads, pastries of many sorts. I was tempted to get a pastry but I stayed focused. The bread was actually good and tasted fresh they only concern which was a big one for me was that there was hardly any ham and cheese in it and I mean like barely none. I could have actually went with just bread as that's what I felt I received. Would I return maybe especially if I am in mood for something g sweet as the variety was plenty to choose from. There is a sit down area on both sides of the restaurant with one big screen tv. This place seems more of a grab and go type establishment. They open at 5:00am and close at I believe 9:00 pm

I don't speak much Spanish so used to get intimidated going into order but the food is just so good, it was worth every trip. Great news is that they just got an online ordering platform! You can order right online for pick up and bypass the long line out the door. The place is always busy but worth the wait, I would definitely suggest ordering online if you are in a rush. They don't have much parking but I always somehow find street parking. It's a very casual place with cafeteria style seating. I get the chicken with potato empanadas, beef empanadas, with their homemade hot sauce. They also have a ton of pastries. All homemade DELICIOUS!

Was excited to know they open early for morning people like me who need their coffee and pastry. Counter help was super nice and took the time to explain, why some things aren't labeled. This place is massive, with lots of tables to dine in, and a bakery section. We ordered the following: Mondongo (pequeño), bandeja paisa, lengua sudada, and res apanada. The food came out in about 20 minutes. The serving sizes were a little bigger than normal (I am not complaining), every plate looked delicious, and all the plates were hot and fresh. The mondongo was tasty and had a good amount of tripe and the right thickness of the broth. I chuckled when I saw the side of banana, but honestly, it made for a good desert. The bandeja paisa brings a litte bit of everything and it all was cooked well. The lengua sudada was very tender and flavorful and the yucca was soft, with the sauce it was in giving it a really good flavor. The res apanada was a bit tough and the breading did not stick on too well, but overall the flavor was good and the breading was crispy which I enjoyed. The best part of it all was the prices. It is very affordable and you will leave full.   The bakery is inexpensive and the items I have tried and good. They do have a large parking lot and it's free. While in the area, you could visit the Slater Mill (they have tours you could sign up for) or visit the public library. One thing to note is that the GPS might bring you to their old location a couple blocks up the street, so do a little bit of research for the address beforehand.
