The service provided by Sam was outstanding! He was patient, offered suggestions and personable with everyone in our group. The restaurant is in a great location, right next to the beach! Great view! Easy access parking lot. They have a concession stand for quick bites and a dining room with a bar! You are definitely paying for the view! The Chianti and malbec wine are really good. I had the halibut it was descent! They do have a salad bar! They do offer happy hour from 3-6pm. I will try that next time with some appetizers. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for happy hour at the bar. Drinks were good, a little pricey but 25% off if we ordered food so a $17 drink was around $13. For me $13 is a normal drink price but the prices aren't listed on the bar menu so you get what you get. We ordered a couple of $10 dishes. Eggplant rollatini- it was salty but edible. My friends ordered a penne dish which i thought was very good and chicken parm which I didn't try. The bartender was very nice, gave us just enough attention and checked in periodically, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, it is directly on the beach and if you sit at a table you are looking at the water. Even in the winter, it is a great view, probably better because you are not looking directly at people in bathing suits and beach umbrellas. I would go back for happy hour! read more

La Casa Café Mother's day Brunch The food wasn't bad although limited in selections compared to other buffets. There were absolutely no vegetables in any of the entrees or otherwise and no salad. They limited groups to 1.5 hours and then you had to leave. We found this out when they slapped the check on the table after 1.25 hours. $52.95 for adults, $25.95 for children under 12. They actually charged for a 3 year old. I had called the night before to see if they added the tip automatically to the check as many restaurants do for groups. It was not indicated in their advertisement or on their website. I was told that the tip was definitely not added automatically. When we got the check, they had added what appeared to be a 22% tip. They not only added the tip, they calculated tip also on the sales tax. We had planned on a 15% tip (After all, this was a buffet), so this upped the total on the check by over $50! When I questioned the manager on the tip being calculated on the after tax total, he said it was a mistake and they had to fix that (in the computer). The waitress ran into the back to get my refund but she was never coming back. She finally came back after 10 minutes and handed me $12. So, the limited selections, limited time allowed, deception, miscalculation and misinformation on the tip policy were very dissatisfying with this venue. We will not be going back. read more

If you are eating here, it is because of the location and that's it. The service was fine and it's a nice environment, but the food is so incredibly overpriced for what is it. Came here for a date during the "outdoor dining" era. There were tables under the pavilion with view of the beach, and then tables behind the pavilion with umbrellas. I'm sure these tables are here throughout the summer. When my friend, well, date, arrived our temperatures with a touch-less thermometer were taken prior to entering the restaurant where we had to place our order. We then placed our order at the bar inside the restaurant. You don't get a number or anything. You have to wait for your name to be called and then get your order from the window. So, it's outdoor dining without waiter service. While this system is okay...it has its flaws as depending on where you were able to get a table, you may not hear your name. On to the food... We ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. Since it was "to-go" it got a little soggy in the take-out container as the steam wasn't able to "escape." It did have decent flavor, but I didn't get that "pull" that fresh mozzarella sticks have. The marinara sauce had good flavor. For my meal, I ordered linguini ala Bari. It was pasta tossed with calamari rings, clams, shrimp and scallops in a garlic type sauce. The seafood serving was very plentiful. The sauce was decent with a good amount of garlic. However...as I was eating I noticed (what I thought was chopped garlic), was actually a ton of congealed butter! Not a fan at all. Nobody wants to eat butter.... My date ordered shrimp fra diavolo. It looked very yummy. He did finish his dish, so I'm just going to go with it was delicious. For drinks....only crappy beers on tap. Coors, Bud Lite, Heineken...types like those. Not a fan at all. I ended up ordering a Piña colada...being on the beach I figured a frozen drink would be good being that I was not a fan of the beer offerings. The Piña colada was VERY sweet. All I tasted was sugar. Very overly sweet with a $13 price tag. Although they were good at taking temperatures prior to ordering and entering, tables were NOT sanitized between people eating/drinking. Tables also appeared to be less than 6 feet apart. The view is gorgeous. Food...just okay. However, I would come back to try the food without it being "take-out" style. read more

As the only restaurant near the beach, it is extremely convenient but everything on the menu is significantly overpriced for pretty average food. I don't understand some complaints about slow service. With such a great location Overlooking Crab Meadow Beach and L.I. Sound, who cares if the service is a tad slow!!!! That just gives more time to sit back, enjoy your view, your meal with your significant other half, and maybe have an extra cocktail or dessert!! Now onto the food. My pasta with seafood bouillabaisse was one of the best seafood combos I ever had. All fresh, all tasty, nicely portioned. My other half's pasta primavera with a garlic/oil sauce was also delicious. What every park needs- A great place to eat without having to traverse the countryside looking for food with sandy feet. This little gem is located at the Crab Meadow Park and is a welcome addition to a day of sun and fun- not to mention a respite from the sun. The girls at the counter were friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. Get pizza here as well as a beer or ice cream. Anything more involved, go inside by the bar and order any number of items that are sure to whet your appetite. Since we have a season pass for the Huntington beaches, we are sure to visit many times over this year and many to come. As an aside, we came to see the fireworks on the 4th- nice and relaxed beach seating with views of several shows in the area. Went for Easter brunch. What a disgrace, never again. Sat us where most of our table was cornered couldn't get up for buffet . Told them the issue and they didn't accommodate us when we were upset about seating. Food was very very bad and unenjoyable. Bill was $650 for what it was something I honestly could have pulled together and been more comfortable at home for $150 I couldn't be more disgusted with service and management for allowing this kind of buffet. Salad dressing in a squeeze bottle bitter and expired tasting I got so disgusted! Manager took my plate I was eating untoasted (no toaster or toasting option) bagel was still on the plate and manager took it without asking how rude! Went here to celebrate an anniversary recently and it was absolutely amazing!! The views were great as it is directly on the beach! We sat inside and had a sit down meal, but there was an outdoor food window and even an outdoor bar that I'd definitely love to come back to for lunch in the future when hanging on the beach. The staff was nice with excellent service. I got the lobster ravioli and I highly recommend it. I was with a large group of people and everyone's food looked great and they all said it was delicious. Great view!!! Can't say much else. Dated decor, service was just ok. My wife did not like her entree and sent it back, they charged us for the salad bar (very sad salad bar), we asked for the manager and no one came over, but they did take the salad bar charge off. As we were leaving, the owner started yelling at my wife and said "if you don't like my food, don't come back." The best part of LaCasa is the location. Waterview restaurants on the north shore are rare, this one overlooks a beach. The views during the day are spectacular. You can sit under a portico if you like, out of the sun. We came, eight of us, for Sunday afternoon dinner. We've been here before-we know what we like. Each ordered their favorites: Chicken Parm for me, Chicken Bruchetta for my bride & grandson. My mother-in-law, who will be 101 in Sept, devoured mussels & lobster, others had shrimp& scallops or lobster ravioli...We drank, we ate.. The service was prompt and friendly, but not overbearing. I'm sure the bill was as healthy as the portions, we all took home doggy bags and it was just as good the next day. (It wasn't 't my turn to get the bill). We love it there. It was great! We were there last night and decided to eat outside. Food was good but we felt like we were at a ROCK CONCERT. The music was too loud to have a conversation at our table. The general ambience of the place was of dirt. Everything and every server needed a good scrub down. the cheap Dollar store cutlery had dried food stuck on it. It did not justify the high end prices. Basically the only restaurant/cafe located right at this lovely and pristine beach front, one would have rather low expectations. The restaurant consists of two major portions. One is the traditional concession stand style window with pizza, snacks, ice cream and other various common beach treats. The other is the actual restaurant itself. Surprisingly delicious Italian food can be had here. It's very typical of American Italian home cooking when it comes to their offerings. Most of the pasta meals come with a unlimited access to their bread and salad bar. Unlike the similar offering at Olive Garden the salad and bread here look amazing fresh and actually are. The pasta dishes I tried were all made with perfect flavoring. The penne I had was cooked to a perfect al dente. There's also outdoor seating available for both waitstaff service as well as none. Decently close enough to Manhattan to make it a nice one day getaway trip. So when you're out here enjoying the sandy beach with clear views, make sure you give this place a shot as well. read more

So I asked for a different chair and as told no no other types of chairs were available, and then I saw it ..a beautiful dining room chair! Went here for date night with my wife. Great location but the food was bland and expensive and very disappointing. I had the stuffed jumbo shrimp which was bland. My wife had the clam sauce over pasta which was small watery and bland as well. The salad bar Is included with entree but small and the bread was even good.
