    Snapper Filete Pargo* very good

The food today was very tasty but not all dishes have that great Cuban flavor. The pricing is very reasonable. The guava pastries are one of the best in Miami. The service most of the time is good. We eat here often so sometimes we have had a not great server. Today the service was very good. The ambiance is comfortable.

This chain of restaurants has been around for quite a while and I have probably visited all of their locations lol. This one in particular I've come to more times than I can count because I live in this area. Food is definitely hit or miss, so is the service. I don't like returning things but I've had to return dishes here. The place still has potential, as it's spacious, but it's very outdated. The parking situation is always a bit of a mission and the amount of people always standing outside smoking is never pleasant.

La Carreta never disappoints! The food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. This time, I went for a slightly healthier option - the grilled chicken. It was perfectly juicy and paired wonderfully with the moro and plantains. I left completely satisfied! The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our plates were exactly how we wanted them. The restaurant can get busy, so it can be a bit loud with all the chatter, but the amazing food and service make it well worth it. Absolutely a 10/10 experience!

The Cuban coffee and the food was delicious and good lunch crowd. Good place for business lunch and priced well.

I have come to this location many times and almost always enjoy it! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean but it can be slow on busy days, which is understandable! I usually always get the Ropa vieja or Bistec Palomilla but today I tried the Paella. I thought it was good, but I am not sure if I would get it again. I love trying new things from La Carreta but it doesn't top the Ropa Vieja!

This place was such a disappointment! The line was long and slow. By the time it was my turn I understood why: there is not really a structure in place and the ladies work in slow motion. They are friendly but speak Spanish only. Now the food... just gross. The chicken was good but the pan de bono was dry, and the croquettes were saggy wack things nothing like a croquetta. Sad because I was craving a good one!

Great! When in Kendall go to this La Carreta for your Cuban food! I go to La Carreta all over south Florida. I found this one while in Kendall and as always quality ambiance and service are great. We had a quick lunch of media noche sandwich and croquetta preparada sandwich. As always it was great! I recommend La Carreta.

I recently visited at La Carreta on S.W. 88 Street (Kendall Dr) and 117 Avenue in Miami, FL, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that I'd rate four stars! This place has earned its reputation as a Miami gem, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've become a regular here for my morning Cuban coffee, croquetas, and pastelitos, which I often enjoy at the cafe window. It's become a comforting ritual for me. The authenticity of their Cuban cuisine is truly top-notch, and I can't get enough of it. Sometimes I find myself talking to locals and tourist that visit some of there more touristy locations like the one in little Havana on S.W. 8th Street and there all looking to try café cubano and Cuban food that is so popular in Miami, I noticed that many others share my sentiments about this place. It's evident that La Carreta has consistently delivered a wonderful dining experience to its patrons. If you're visiting Miami and want to immerse yourself in the rich culinary Cuban culture, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to La Carreta. You won't be disappointed!

We drove to Kendall to take my Brazilian bestie over to campus for the elections. Perfect opportunity for some Cuban food, most especially after 4 hours of election mayhem. I was hoping for the Cuban-style beer but they were out. I settled with Modelo which is always good after a hot day! Their empanadas were fresh, crispy and mouthwatering. We also ordered vaca frita. Mine came with plantains and my friend substituted with yuca which was way better. The meat was slightly dry and their hot sauce was Tabasco. I was hoping for some homemade hot sauce for the meats and empanada! Altogether though, pleasant experience and great staff!

I've always seen it, just never ordered it because I figured it was "just" guava and cheese. Big mistake. Our lattes were a bit pricier than I'm used to (around $8 each) and as expected for a latte. All of the pan, sweets, and pastries were tasty and fresh. The space was crowded when we came in but we were able to get a small table and enjoy our meal. The staff was nice, friendly, and patient with my parents who do not speak Spanish (which was appreciated). Not pictured: almond croissant & key lime tarte (to go, and around $15 total) which were both fresh and tasty. We also ordered a quesadilla (about $6) which had a sweet cheese filling baked atop/in the middle of the dough. One downside... YOU, the customer, has to pay the credit card fee of 3+%, which I did find off putting after spending over $75 in their establishment. I could see if it was under a $10 purchase, but when you're spending $75+ it feels like sneaky business to pay the stores credit card fee (which is a business expense on their end), while also covering the tip and taxes, which are expected.

I know for a fact that if it wasn't because my son insisted on me trying one of their incredibly delicious empanadas, I don't think I would have ever walked inside of this small place in an unassuming shopping mall in Kendall. Now that I've been introduced to Central Park and all of their incredible food, I'm totally hooked! The first thing I tried here is their beef soup, and I must say that it is spectacular! The soup comes with chunks of beef and some delicious Latin vegetables. What makes this soup so special is the richness and flavor of the broth. I order this soup every single time I visit. After the soup, I always have their empanadas. I have tried many different ones but my favorite ones are the ham and cheese and the shredded beef ones. My husband loves their Pavellon empanada which literally has everything but the kitchen sink: fried plantains, black beans, shredded beef, and cheese just to name a few. It is the size of a baby's head! I will be back soon to enjoy more of their Venezuelan delicacies. Pro tip: don't be like me and let the name keep you from enjoying their delicious empanadas.
