Mixed berry french toast
Leah M.

The rating on Yelp convinced me and the one lowest rated review, I SHOULD HAVE PAID ATTENTION TO! This one review said the food was cold, same here. Let's start from the beginning. When I arrived one person was leaving, they were waiting on a party of 10, I WAS ALONE! The service was pleasant but slow. The restaurant is small, neat but nicely decorated. Cold food is a turn off to most but since this is a small business personally I will give its pass. I said nothing but, MOST PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE COLD FOOD! The French Toast was good and worth the price but there was no reason to serve cold food to the one person dining. On the other hand the coffee was hot and strong thankfully not bitter, it was good. The menu has a pretentious air for no reason. A Frou frou menu in a strip mall is a bit much, simple food with a twist is okay. The breakfast menu could be better as breakfast items are easy. I didn't see or hear about the chicken sausage everyone talked about. I'm happy with hiring choice of the young man (Steven?) it would be the only reason for my return.

The service was great and the inside of the cafe is so quaint! My omelette was good, and the dessert and coffee were amazing

Chicken Salad Sandwich

This is the cutest little cafe that we stopped in to for brunch recently. The service was very good and several of the menu items looked enticing. I had the chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. The salad was fresh and dressing delicious. The only reason not 5 stars is that the chicken salad was VERY salty. I love salty food but could see others finding this level of salt intolerable. Some other reviews look so good! I would love to come back and try more of the selection so I can update the review to 5 stars!

Bacon and Gouda fondue with mushrooms and sunny eggs

We had brunch here this morning and everything was absolutely delicious. Not one complaint. The service was great. It's a small, comfortable, homey space. We will definitely be back. This was the best brunch we've had in a long time.

Gouda fondue potatoes with mushrooms and bacon and eggs

My daughter and three young grandsons and I had an absolutely wonderful brunch here this morning! My daughter got her usual breakfast - the fondue potatoes and eggs. She loves that dish. She ordered the grilled cheese and potatoes, French toast, and scrambled egg whites and potatoes for the boys. They really did a good job eating most of it all up. On typical outings with them, they barely touch their food so I was impressed on how quickly they gobbled this up. It was my first time there but I quickly settled on the corned beef Benedict. It was so good, and I loved that it came on a nice piece of sourdough - I never order Eggs Benedict because I don't really like English muffins that much. Anyway, this was really very good and I will likely order it again next time. It's a cute and quite small place, but the staff was very accommodating and efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful brunch and I can't wait to go there again sometime.

Lemon Pound Cake French Toast & Breakfast Sandwich with Potatoes

This cafe is a hole in the wall that I've driven past countless times in my life until I finally decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did! I've had the lemon pound cake French toast and it was amazing as well as the breakfast sandwich. I'd recommend getting the breakfast sandwich with bacon or sausage on it since it might give the sandwich the little piece I felt was missing. The cafe is tight on space and it appeared as though they had only one chef in the kitchen, however the staff was all nice and were able to seat us quickly on a Saturday for brunch. Additionally, the food got out to us relatively quickly despite the number of customers in the cafe. I'll definitely be returning here in the near future to try more!

A special, the duck l'orange
Melissa R.

We love that this tiny restaurant is close by and while there are only about 10-12 tables, it's cozy and comfortable and is a BYOB, our favorite. Another plus is that the menu seems to be different from other restaurants with a variety of French dishes, and we appreciate that they are trying. Additionally, our server was warm and attentive. We started our meal with the roasted grape and arugula salad which was big enough to share. I decided to try the special which was the duck l'orange. I immediately had buyer's remorse as the portion was small and not very moist and had the skin on top. There were no sides except for the orange pieces and a bit of cabbage. Just an okay dish. My husband had the chicken and burrata. He had difficulty eating it as the stems were left on the grapes, and there were many little pieces that he kept having to pick off or spit out. We may give this local restaurant another try in the future, but we'll be careful how we order.

One of the 5 tables with our handpicked wild flowers in small vases and the preset menus. Gift table in background.

We hosted a private event (30 people) here for a milestone birthday in March 2023. The food, service and ambiance were fantastic. The staff really worked collaboratively with us to customize a menu for the occasion. They are BYOB but helped with setting up the bar and had servers pouring the wine and after dinner drinks. Very reasonably priced especially considering the quality and quantity of food. Almost too much food quite frankly. The owner/manager is very easy to work with and is very knowledgeable about hosting mid-sized events. Highly recommend.

Busy street corner but service was wonderful and it was nice to sit out in the sun. The French toast on challah bread was amazing. Perfectly fluffy with raspberries and fresh whipped cream - no regrets! Had a latte as well that was decent. Open for dine in and outdoor dining!

mushroom gnocchi special

Atypical presentations, good service, tasty food, pleasant atmosphere. We had the beet & fennel salad to share (which they kindly split onto two separate plates for us without even asking), the lamb kafta (basically a lamb burger with a tasty green sauce on top and crema underneath), goat ragu tagliatelle, and mushroom gnocchi. All very nice! I would have liked a couple slices of bread to soak up the sauces. For dessert, the chocolate pot de creme seemed a bit wrong as it was more like chocolate truffles, but it was good.

After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy!

The wings were packed with flavor and had a great kick, and the tofu sandwich was fresh, filling, and really well done. The service is quick and friendly, and there's a cool mix of offerings--plenty of fresh, made-to-order options, plus take-home meals if you're in a rush. The pizza smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, so that's definitely on our list to try next time. They also carry a smaller selection of fresh produce and grocery items, along with a bunch of unique snack choices you won't find just anywhere. Perfect place for a quick bite, a fun snack haul, or to grab something easy for later. We'll definitely be back!

It's the perfect backdrop for reuniting with old friends over laughs and stories, or bumping into locals I haven't seen since my younger (more rowdier) days. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and quintessentially Media - right at the Orange Street corner of the iconic Media Courthouse. Jeez, jury duty must suddenly feel like a blessing when you can pop over for a midday lunch break! Now, let's talk food - Does Rivalry deliver! Their fresh hand made crab cakes are the best this side of Maryland: juicy, flavorful lumps of crab with just the right crisp, no filler nonsense. Paired with their other tasty dishes - think fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, and soups that never miss - every item on the menu is a hit. I've yet to try something that didn't leave me with a smile. The proudly serve La Colombe. You can't go wrong there. It's really the best coffee around. We got the hummus platter for a starter. So good. Watermelon radishes, cucumbers, carrots. Mostly veggies and a few chips. I like when it's more veggies. I was for some reason really impressed with the cucumbers. They just tasted so fresh. They make you potted bread with maple salted butter. I didn't have any of the butter. I don't have a death wish. The bread was perfect though. Crispy in the edges fluffy on the midsection. My wife got the rolled lasagna and loved it. I didn't not try it. For my meal I got the lobster roll. Even though I was in New England all week having lobster on this and lobster in that. I'm not sick of it and this did not disappoint. It felt perfect. The sun peering through the skylight. I wore my sunglasses the entire time. It's a good place to take some time, slow down and appreciate your surroundings.
