Don't have pictures for this but we tried multiple burgers here a couple months ago; the Bonsai, K-Town, West Coast, and El Jefe. They're pretty cheap but not that big - you probably need about 1.5 burgers to get full or a burger and a side. Also, buns can be a little bit oddly sweet because of their sauce (not too sure which one) Out of all of them, the El Jefe is probably the best, with its house guac, smoked bacon, pickled radish, cheddar, and chipotle sauce. Because it just tasted so dang good, nothing else really stood out to me after I ate that burger. 2nd place would go to the West Coast and the Bonsai, which were very solid burgers by themselves but nothing super outstanding. 4th place would be the K-Town; the kimchi they use is not the tastiest kimchi I've had. I'm not Korean but I have had my fair share of kimchi in my life - it's hard to say whether what Koreans deem good kimchi is also good for putting on burgers because of how strong the flavor is after it's fermented. But the kimchi is so light tasting, I would not have known there was any on there. The LA burger has an egg on it. Makes it rich tasting. And the meat is juicy but not in the greasy way. More in the saucy and juicy. The kimchi is so light I might just add more next time! There's a light pink/orangey sauce that seems to be mayo based. And we added bacon which really tied the whole burger together! I thought the burger was good. But I loved the bugolgi tacos! I loved the other location and this one is no different! same great food and service we all grew to love in a different location! this location is closer to my work. It's around H-Mart area so you get all you bonafied full blown Korean shopping and lunch all in the same area!!!! I pretty much had everything on their menu. I recommend the LA burger if you're a burger person...regular burger with kim chi and a fried egg on top. Goes great with their kim chi fries. and that could be shared between two people. If you're a sandwich person, I'd recommend the hogi. Like a Vietnamese banh mi without the Asian veggies. My coworker had the philly steak and he loved it. Came here back in February 2018 & tried korean tacos for the first time. I'm not much of a tacos or burrito person but it was pretty good. Thought I would just have one but ended up eating two. K fries (curly fries): I ordered this without onions. I think the seasoning in the curly fries made it much better. The fries were good and definitely worth the calorie and fat consumption but I'm not so sure it's worth the price. The fries were cooked well and retained their crispness even after the toppings were added and it was packed to go. I also tried the K fries with regular fries. I thought they were good but I liked the additional seasoning from the curly fries. Bulgogi Tacos: good price for 3 tacos. The flavor of the Bulgogi was good compared to the other fusion places I've been in DFW. But I don't think it's the best. I also thought it was a bit too salty. It would've been nice if they added a slaw or something to cut the saltiness. Psychedelic burger: The burger had a good balance of ingredients maybe a bit too much bread. It was cooked well. Service is good. The food is good but I don't think it's a place that I'd go out of my way for. I would give them a 3.5 stars but not quite good enough for me to round up to 4 yelp stars. read more

After looking through the help pictures on this place I knew I had to try it. For those unfamiliar to LA burger, you walk to the cashier, order, pay and they bring it out to you. Food: I ordered the Asian tacos (two beef- bulgogi, be one pork), a side of sweet potato fries, and a vanilla shake, which came up to be around $16. If you are getting the tacos, I highly recommend paying extra to add in avocado. The meat in the tacos themselves are very flavor full, sweet with a nice subtle kick. The onions accompany the met perfectly and each taco is double wrapped in two soft corn tortillas. Probably going to order this everyone I come here since it was so good! The sweet potato fries were good, soft but crunchy and the vanilla shake was thick and creamy. Service: the staff was very nice, one of the owners came around to make sure everyone's food was good, which is a big plus in my book. Customers happy = returning customers. Over all I really enjoyed my experience here and will be coming back often! read more

The owner greeted everyone who came in and the friendliness was really noticeable. We sat at the bar and chatted with the owner for several minutes talking about the different local craft beers he has on tap. He even gave us samples of beer. Being a Texas boy, I just wasn't ready for that much of a noticeable change in burgers. Very probably someone with a broader palate for food probably will love it. I just am not one. We stopped here on the way to northern Carrollton. The wife and I both ordered the LA Burger. She thought it was too messy, but for me that was a strength. I really liked the combination of flavors and appreciated the complexity as well as the heat from the kimchi and jalapeños. Really good burger with a nice twist that keeps it interesting. The burger was cooked perfectly (medium) and was juicy, messy, and a tad greasy. Just perfect. The kimchi fries are good, but you need to eat them fast or they get kinda gross when cold. They were tasty, but a bit too greasy and rich for me. But I am not sorry that I indulged in this decadence one time. This place is quite drive from Dallas and is not a destination, but I am happy to have tried it and I would recommend for a change of pace from the usual burger. read more

Pretty good burgers! I hadn't heard of this place before but I am happy I gave it a try. The place is a bit small, located inside a retail strip in front of the H-Mart area. It was very easy to find as it is right off the main road. Parking was available and easy, right in front of the door. There were only a few patrons inside when I arrived before noon on a weekday but a few minutes later the place got slammed. I guess I lucked out. You walk into the place and head to the back counter to order. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and upbeat. They were patient with me as I tried to figure out what to order. Really - I want to emphasize how cool the crew was because it can really make-or-break an experience. The menu is up on the wall behind the counter and is basically laid out with a series of named, pre-designed burgers, such as a Cali Sunshine (burger with egg), Tommy (chili cheeseburger), etc. There are a few turkey and veggie burger options as well plus a few non-burger options like tacos, entree salads, etc. The sides include the typical fries, onion rings, tots, side salad. They take your order at the counter, you pay there up-front, and you get a number and they bring your order to your table. You help yourself to the soda and fountain drinks. They serve a locally-made soda which was good. Food: Turkey Burger (Three Strikes). This was REALLY good. This might be the best turkey burger I've ever had. The "homespread" sauce was kinda like a mix of thousand island and Cane's tender sauce. The cucumbers were a good choice as their subtle flavor did not overwhelm the mild turkey like pickles would have done. There was a nice smokey flavor from either the turkey or the swiss cheese. The bun was nicely toasted/grilled and was mildly sweet like Hawaiin bread. Beef Burger (OG Burger) - I ordered a standard "OG" burger and asked to leave off the cheese and homespread. It comes with the typical lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and I added mustard, jalapeños , and kimchi for a small up-charge. You can request the beef temperature, so I chose medium. The patty is 8oz. This burger was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, a bit smashed and juicy. The kimchi was a very good addition and I highly recommend you try it as an add-on to whatever you order. Same good bun as the turkey burger. Side = Onion Rings. These were really good. Large rings and very crispy so you can take a bite without the entire soggy onion sliding out of the breading (I hate that). These were breaded with a nice, mild bread crumb type of batter instead of the common sweet, thick tempura that some places offer. They were a bit oily but that's to be expected. The minor criticisms are: Dining area was a bit uncomfortable. It was a bit dark, loud, and cramped. That's OK if you are expecting it but it's not the best place for a relaxing conversation (at least not during the lunch rush). I wish they offered a build-your-own burger. If you don't want cheese, you have to order the cheese burger and ask to leave off the cheese. Cheese would normally be an up-charge. I don't like that I leave off the cheese for free but then have to pay an up-charge to add something else like jalapeños instead of it being a break-even substitution. Overall, very good place for burgers that are a bit different than the usual offerings. Give them a try! read more

Before moving to the DFW area, a friend recommended LA burger as the best burger joint in DFW. I'm not a huge burger person so it took me 2 years to try it. I don't know if it's the best burger in DFW since it's the only hamburger I've had in DFW but it's definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had anywhere. I ordered the K-Town burger with kimchi, jalapeños and egg with beef and the Cali sunshine with the veggie patty. I also got tator tots and made it Korean style by getting beef and kimchi toppings. My first bite was the K-Town with beef and I LOVED it. The beef was really well seasoned and I love the kimchi toppings. The egg yolk spilled everywhere but it was gorgeously messy. I also loved the bun. It was sweet and dense and generously buttered. I wasn't crazy about the veggie patty in the Cali sunshine. The texture was totally off and the flavor kind of bland. If you're a strict vegetarian, I would avoid this. Maybe next time I will try the black bean. The tator tots were really good. They were golden and crisp and fried perfectly. I think the beef and kimchi with sauce made them a bit soggy at the end so eat quickly to avoid a soggy tator tot. Otherwise, I would just get them plain next time. Overall, solid hamburgers and great service. Definitely check it out! read more

I was here on a Monday around 11am, there was no rush then but by the time we were leaving around 12- a lot of people had started coming in for lunch. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by their staff. The woman taking our orders at the register was polite and friendly. I'm a vegetarian and I was pleased to learn that they had a veggie patty also a black bean patty. A lot of places here in Texas sometimes don't have any alternatives for vegetarian patties. I went with the black bean patty in the West Coast burger and added chipotle on the side. The burger was quite good and well cooked although I had to add more sauce to it because it felt a bit dry but adding condiments to it made it great. I was in the area with time to spare while I waited for my appointment at the DPS office, so I stopped into LA Burger since I have had it bookmarked for sometime now. It is a small place in a strip center. I probably never would have stopped here had it not been for Yelp, but I am sure glad I did! I ordered the K-Town Burger, and it came out very quickly and tasted like heaven! It was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were so unexpected, yet went together really nicely. I highly recommend it. The staff is nice, dining room and bathroom are clean, and they had pretty good music playing. It was a nice way to pass the time before heading to the DPS. Every time I come here, I am never disappointed. I always get the LA burger. Never thought that bun on a burger mattered until I came here. It's like a perfect dinner roll hugging the meat. The kimchi on it is well balanced with all the other flavors. Meat tastes pretty fresh too. K-fries, YUM Usually I stray away from kimchi fries because it's so heavy on the stomach, and it gets so soggy so quickly. But these are good. The cilantro is the perfect touch of freshness. I went to this place on a Saturday morning and the place had a nice comfortable burger joint vibe to it. They had multiple TV's that displayed different sports channels so this is a spot definitely good for eating a burger and enjoying Sunday football. Not only do they have burgers but they also have a variety of stuff like salads, tacos, and rice bowls that take a unique Korean twist. They even have a bar area with a very generous selection of beer. After trying the ktown burger, a burger with kimchi and bulgogi style beef (which they recommend to eat with a fried egg and cheese) I knew I wanted to come to this place again. This is probably one of the best places to get even just a regular burger, the bread is fresh, the meat is seasoned perfectly and the vegetables were beautiful. The fries were not soggy (thank the heavens) even with the copious amounts of toppings on them. The staff was also incredible friendly and the service was fast. Thankfully, they are very amicable with mistakes. Another customer had his order mixed up and he was offered something in exchange and free of charge. My only complaint would be that the ktown burger was a little bit difficult to eat and the bottom bun would get soggy from the kimchi but that didn't stop me from eating it with a fork! read more

It was my first time eating at the Carrollton location. My go to is usually the K-town with egg, along with a side order of tator tots (get the loaded version). It's a tad pricey, but worth it. First and foremost, if you are interested in a very good, unhealthy burger that is just a little different from your usual joint then please stop by at any of the locations in Dallas. You will not be disappointed. Now, on to the review. It was very good. Burger was nicely cooked. Flavors were amazing as usual. It has a natural, sweet taste with a very good kick (kimchi and jalapeños). It's one of those rare burgers that require no additional condiments. Just take a bite, close your eyes, and see where your mind takes you. If you had to twist my arm, the one negative comment I would make is their fountain drinks are not your usual suspects so I was a little unsure how they would taste. If you had to twist both arms, I would also say (this is totally a matter of preference) that the bun was a little too crisp. Neither of these two points would stop me from coming again.
