    Super Burrito
    Amanda W.

Stopped in here for lunch as we hadn't been to a La Bamba in years. Not since they closed the one on the south side. The menu is still the same and the food is still the same as I remember it being. Just a little more expensive as is everything. We were the only ones in there so it was quiet and the food was ready very fast. Steak super nachos had plenty of meat and toppings just wish they had more cheese sauce or the addition of shredded cheese would be nice Chorizo burrito was had flavor and was decently full however we are pretty sure they used to be more full. Overall decent experience wouldn't go out of my way to come here though. Building could use some love and renovations as well.

Suuuuper disgusting product and experience. The food was obviously days old. I took one bite of a steak super burrito and spit it out. I e never spit out a burrito before but, this... this made it so my stomach curdles every time I see the restaurant. I used to love La Bamba but food poisoning makes me hate this nasty place now.

Lettuce wasn't fresh, quite a bit of brown

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in my visit here. I've often driven past La Bamba but never stopped in. Today, I was working in the area and had only a few minutes for lunch, so I thought it would be quick to stop by here and get something to go. I will say that service was very friendly, it was just the food that was lacking. I ordered the vegetarian nachos, which was supposed to include cheese, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, sour cream and salsa. What I actually received was a container that was mostly full of shredded lettuce, some very thin and watery sour cream, a small amount of very thin, watery, tasteless beans, and a few pieces of tomatoes and onions on top of some tortilla chips. I didn't find any cheese at all. What are nachos without cheese? There was a small cup of salsa on the side. The lettuce was not very fresh, some of it was brown. So basically it was a pile of not-so-fresh-lettuce on top of tortilla chips with thin watery sour cream at the bottom of the container. The salsa was actually decent, but it was truly the only ingredient in the box that was. Very disappointed with this experience. The reviews here seem to be all over the place, from poor experiences to very good experiences. I guess I just happened to be here on a bad day,

-ordered nachos/burrito chips was STALE -burrito was dry -called to inform the restaurant he said he was busy -steak had no flavor -out of money -the person who answered was super rude and hung up on me -dont waste your time going to this establishment, NOT WORTH THE HYPE

This is a staple spot in Indy for a quick bite to eat. The customer service is down to earth and easy to talk to. The food comes out fast and hits the spot every time. It's a grab your own seat with mostly booths and some tables towards the back.

Just like I remember it. Not sure why most of these closed but thankful this one is still open. Service was fast, restaurant was super clean and food was awesome. Their Horchata is wonderful also.

I absolutely love this place. I get a steak burrito with green & red sauce! Great after a night out.

I had a steak taco and chorizo taco, with a side of rice and all of it was amazing.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We ordered agua frescas tonight, but their bar menu is huge and I definitely want to be back for margaritas on their patio. This is prime location for patio season. All our service was very professional and fast. Bonus perk there is a free parking garage attached.... Makes going out to eat downtown way less stressful!

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
