This restaurant has a very nice, modern, clean sophisticated atmosphere. It is lively with music and many people. However, the food I find to be so-so, and not as authentic for an Italian restaurant.
Personally I am a fan of tomato sauce for pasta, but they only had two dishes with that, while the other pasta dishes had cream sauces or basic olive oil. So I got the Spaghetti Ragu which looked great, and tasted good, but overall I was unimpressed. I think I expected better quality food, but I assume since L'Osteria is a chain restaurant found in many places in Vienna their food must be processed.
Service was slow but that is something one must expect since it is the Italian way according to their menu :) so please be patient waiting for your food!
Their pizzas are huge and very thin, but don't let the size fool you - it is thin enough for a hungry person to finish just fine.
The Panna Cotta was delicious actually, with the strawberry sauce.
