We went with 3 for a dinner today. Reservation made by phone.
The website looks very good. The dishes look delicious. Unfortunately, it's not really like that in the restaurant. It's OK food, but it won't get a raving review from me.
The place itself looks kind of OK. It's centrally located in the Grinzing district. This district is famous for it's Heurigen and it's pleasant to have this place where you won't see tourists, and is more frequented by local people. The service was friendly and attentive enough. Drinks and dishes were delivered relatively quick.
We had the prosciutto crudo di Parma con melone and the Antipasti misti as starter. The melon was not a lot, and not ripe yet, and the few slices of parma were without a lot of love dropped on top. I was a bit disappointed with the taste. The antipasti looked better and the taste was OK. The pizza bread delivered with it was good.
As main, we had pizza. One rusticana and one Nino's. The egg on the rusticana was well done, just for your information. There were exactly 4 slices of salami on the otherwise relatively large. The pizza itself was very dry - too dry to my likings.
When we wanted to pay, we couldn't because the advertised payment with card (any kind) was not possible, as the equipment was in service. So, we had to go out to get money. Maybe they should remove the stickers advertising for card payment if they just take cash.
The restaurant looks a bit sad. The website shows very good photos, but I must say that I can't see that reflected in the reality. The prices for the pizza are good, and they do deliver, so I think I might try ordering for delivery to see if that works better. Otherwise, probably won't visit the place anymore. read more
