This is not an easy restaurant to rate. The ambiance is 4-5 stars depending on the time of the year - the outdoor seating patio is great. The food - 3 stars at best and that's why I can't rate this place any higher. Here are the details:
- Pasta (any, I dined here on multiple occasions and had different pasta dishes) - they claim it's fresh, home-made and somehow I doubt it. Fresh pasta melts in your mouth and unfortunately, this one doesn't.
- Sauces - definitely not made fresh to order. They taste like they were sitting there for hours as well as that they were made with the intent to sit so they can be slapped on quickly and served. Good sauces can't sit and that's why great pasta dishes are to be eaten immediately after cooking.
- Pizza - they really need to take a trip across town to Pizza Mari' to see how it's done.
In summary - great outdoor setting with mediocre Italian food. read more
