What a lovely spot for an afternoon bite to eat. It reminded me of Italy. High quality ingredients coupled with prompt, competent, friendly service. A bit higher priced than other pizza places. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside in the palace courtyard. We enjoyed a couple glasses of red wine along with a fresh and extremely tasty pizza of fresh Parma ham, fresh buffalo mozzarella, arugula and on the side - some really nice hot pepper oil for drizzling (it went perfectly with the crisp crust). The pizza itself was excellent--fresh ingredients, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. The waiters were extremely rude and dismissive, especially towards tourists and foreigners. Their attitude made us feel unwelcome from the moment we sat down, and it was clear they had no interest in providing even basic courtesy. It's a shame, because the food deserves recognition, but the hostile and unprofessional service makes it hard to recommend this place to anyone. Until management addresses how their staff treats customers, I would advise looking elsewhere--you'll find plenty of good pizza in the city without the side of hostility. By the way, tip is included for this terrible experience. Save your time, do somewhere else. read more

If you come from USA, this is a disappointment. Costco pizza tastes better than this. Even the $1 pizzas in New York are superb in comparison. The crust is soggy, and taste is bland. read more

I can't understand why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars. The food, service and ambience restaurant is impeccable. Enzo and every member of the staff catered to us with magnificent detail. We enjoyed the truffle gnocchi and tradizionale pizza and found both items to be delicious and fresh. 3.5 Starting with the good stuff - the chocolate mousse with sour cherries was one of the best desserts we've had in Vienna. Plentiful seating, gracious host. We did the tasting menu, and enjoyed both the seafood pasta and the sirloin. On the downside, the typical Austrian dining experience is slow, but this was glacial. It was at least 20-30 minutes from the time they took the plate for one course until they brought the plate for the next...each time. Granted, it's nice not to rush, but that stretches even the average dinner out to 3 hours...and our server wasn't keeping an eye on wine or water... Overall, sure, a place you can go anytime, and a meal you'll enjoy, if you don't need to be anywhere else. read more

Visited this lovely restaurant on a recent visit to Vienna on a warm summer evening. We sat in the courtyard and lingered for a few hours. Order the house wine by the carafe (we especially loved the white wine but the red was also quite good). The pizzas were delicious (I don't remember the name but my favorite was a spicy pepperoni one). Definitely make a reservation if you plan on visiting. read more

I so want to give this place more than 3 stars. But all said and done, based on at least 6 different visits, their food, on average, does not deserve more than 3 stars. - Pasta - depending on a dish, some of the pasta dishes are solid 4 star (and occasionally even above that) dishes. If the pasta was home-made freshly that day - you can't go wrong with that dish. That said, there are other pasta dishes with store bought pasta, which, for a place like this should be a non-starter. Sauces also range from very good to mah, but mostly they taste fresh and smell good. - Pizza - 3 stars, great potential - could be a lot better. - Appetizers - mostly very good. On the smaller side and not a good value for money. - Dessert - they claim it's all home-made. If true, they need to get their pastry chef to step it up. Regina Margherita is a special find. It is a special glimpse of Italy in the heart of Vienna. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner in July of 2022 for my family of 6 with children ages 13-20. Highly recommend you make reservations in advance. EVERY table was filled. Clientele was a mix of genuine Italian nationals with their families, Vienna locals, a bachelorette party and group of young British blokes. Clientele was very respectful and everyone seemed to enjoy the outdoor seating area and fantastic food. The waitstaff was attentive but a little impatient at times...however they warmed to us over time as a respectful American family of 6. The food was fantastic and rivaled the cuisine we've enjoyed in Venice, Florence, Rome and Sorrento. It was solid Italian food...everything we ordered was delicious. If we ever have the blessing of visiting Vienna again we will be come back to Regina Margherita. read more
