So, my coworker and I enjoyed Da Capo Ristorante so much that we went twice in one weekend. Alr He always said that we had to try the pizza in every country we visited, and this place was one of the best. Please note that this was some years ago (2018) and I don't remember all of the details, but the feeling it left was one of fond memories that I would love to go back someday. The staff were very hospitable and made us feel welcomed. They were very attentive and polite. I know one thing, was that I had a hard time stop eating the garlic bread. So if you are ever in the area, go try Da Capi Ristorante. I know I'd go back if I could.

Either time was flying by; the clocks wasn't ticking; or I couldn't stop stuffing my face…read more I've been thinking about this moment for a while. Vienna? Well, of course! More so, the surprise dining experience at Al Borgo. It was here that I discovered clocks ticked a little slower. Traditional Italian cuisines was just as timeless as the city's baroque architecture. And, their fish soup is better than my southern favorite - She Crab Soup. In between the antipasto and the primo piatto di paste, they served a bowl of lemon water. LEMON WATER? Yes, Lemon water. To defuse the lingering, fishy smell on my finger tips from the fish soup. Have you ever tasted black salt? It was a weird but, delicious garnish on my swordfish rigatoni. I skipped the secondo piatto and dived into two shareable, dolce desserts (the classic tiramisu and a chocolate cake soufflé) with a cup of cappuccino. Quite impressive! Al Borgo is definitely a small spot of Italy. They pride themselves on serving first-class products but, I believe the first-class experience started with the chef and wait staff.

I have actually stopped trying pasta due to the overcooked and bland pasta this city has to offer. So I was surprised to find this place. Amazing ravioli and OK secondary options. Yes there is only two per day! So you can have a plate of one, the other, or mixed! I think I will stop with the mixed options as the non-ravioli options are meh. The ambiance inside is great, but sitting outside and enjoying a warm spring evening is just the best. The pizzas are baked in a rustic wood fire oven that gives it the perfect crust. A bit crunchy, but chewy, thin and full of flavor. The toppings are creative and harmonic. The size is decent! We chose the Estevia which had a huge Burrata cheese with arugula, pine nuts and fresh tomatoes. It was so extremely good. Unbelievably! The staff is great and very attentive. I will be back soon for sure. I need to try their bestseller: Figs, goat cheese and honey. It already sounds like heaven. I highly recommend this place and all of their gorgeous pizzas.
