The dining room area is also quite spacious and the eggshell-blue walls are soothing. The lovely ceiling frieze indicates this must once have been a parlour or hall of some sort. But the bar service, where I ordered, already lends to one negative star. I ordered the veggie burger (sweet potato, kidney beans, mushrooms, hummus) and asked for no cucumber or chips with it and the barman with scraggly black hair made a face of sorts and raised his eyebrow. Seriously? I really don't care what your opinion is of my order; your job is to take it. So per usual, terrible customer service rears its face in London. The burger arrived quickly and whilst presented OK, it tasted good but not great. The burger is held together well with beans jutting out and is a good portion size; the taste of mushrooms is subtle, but it just lacked enough oomph. It's also laughable how the menu notes rocket is on the burger and there were literally two leaves. It's leaves you sated but for £9.50, it's not something I would get again or advise other fellow veggies to get. Also the rest of the menu is boring pub fare; the online (and therefore wrong) menu is much more exciting.

I travel around London to find the perfect burger and I must say for pub food this burger wasn't bad at all!! One thing let me down is that I asked for BBQ sauce and got HP sauce, now I don't know if its because they thought it was BBQ or the fact that its the same colour but that minor fault is the only fault I have. Great staff great beer.

There are singers singing pop, folk etc songs. There is plenty of dancing etc. The atmosphere is fantastic. excellent for Romantic evenings out or going out with the family. It caters for birthday parties etc. The service is first class. The set menu is incredible, the meze is so large it fills the whole table!!!, the main meal is grilled meats, poultry etc with rice & salad. It is really a lovely night out for Romantics (with music playing in the background) or for groups who want to have a good meal with some dancing all for a good price. Its a Good Value evening out.. (Parking is on street)..... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (If you are on facebook check it out en-gb.facebook.com/cyprusmezebar).

As I'm about to move away from East London for a quieter life in Hampshire, I decided this would be the best place locally to have my last supper. I wasn't wrong. I booked a table for 5 on a Saturday night I didn't book it until late afternoon but they were able to accommodate us. It's a set menu only on a Saturday night (I forgot to ask how much that was but it worked out, including wine, beer and a couple of spirits to around £30 per head). For that you get meze starters cold starters such as taramasalata, hummus, delicious aubergine bake thing etc with constantly topped up fresh sesame seeded bread and more dishes being brought out, then hot starters such as cheese & spinach filo parcels, little lamb kofte kebabs, breadcrumbed fish, grilled haloumi etc. By now you're quite full (especially if you overdid it on the fresh bread with your hummus) and you think it must be the end, when you're told you can order more (as much as you like) meze starters, it's all included in the set price. So you order more of your favourite items. And then, when you are well and truly stuffed, you are brought out your rather large main meal! Mine & my friends were a mixed grill & salad with lamb, herbed sausage (and I can't remember what the 3rd thing was but it was delicious anyway) and I'd already advised when I booked that my brother's family were vegetarian / ate fish so theirs was 2 fabulously cooked melt in the mouth swordfish steaks. And finally, after all that, we were brought out 2 large platters of very refreshing fresh fruit slices (kiwi, pineapple, grapes etc). The waiter & waitress looking after our area were excellent and very attentive always on duty watching, without being obvious, when any table had finished a dish / needed topping up or someone wanted them to come over, and the atmosphere, with the Turkish live music / singing was happy, fun and relaxed like a family party. It was a real ideal family restaurant and I'm kind of kicking myself for not going more often before I moved away!

From there they moved on to a more unique approach, wanting more privacy in their house and got permission to create a fine dining experience in an old abandoned Victoria line underground train. The underground supper club is now taking place at the Pump Museum near St James Station Walthamstow where a 4 course dinner is served with a cocktail on arrival, a choice of a full bottle of red or white wine during the course of the meal and finishing the dinner with a glass of champagne. The menu changes monthly but they usually update it on their website if you want to know ahead. I was almost at doubt I was even on the right path when I was making my way to this supper club. The surroundings varied from residential to industrial with little signs that a cool establishment could exist anywhere nearby. But search in Basement Galley on Google and have it pinned am I assure you will find it okay. Staff were incredibly friendly and although the arrival time said 19:00, many arrived early to enjoy their cocktail. As soon as you see the train it almost immediately puts you in awe at how they managed to convert the carriage into a restaurant and make it look so fancy with the lanterns and candles lined with cutlery and wine glasses whilst giving you nostalgic memories of cramp busy journeys on the underground. It's a completely polar opposite feeling. Heritage tomatoes, bufalo, olive, Parmesan and thyme The title of the dish does not justify the creativity that went into it. Lovely array of different tomatoes adding vibrancy and colour to the dish and I thought it was very clever of them to use minced olives to season to the dish, adding complexity to its flavour as well as an interesting texture. The buffalo cheese was incredibly fresh and bouncy and balanced out the salty olives perfectly. Thyme adding another dimension of flavour whilst the Parmesan crumb added a lovely crunch and umami Green asparagus, ricotta & green pea, spiced cashews Slightly on the salty side but that could be because of the overly spiced and seasoned cashews which therefore was forgiven as they were lovely and well spiced. I loved the various of textures coming together in each bite from the crunchy mangetout, soft green peas and the lovely refreshing puréed asparagus and ricotta helping bind everything together. Cashews added that extra boost of flavour with its spice but also a subtle sweetness from its natural flavours. Finished nicely with Parmesan for a richer flavour and umami Red quinoa and wild rice, herb, duck, fennel Unfortunately the duck being the main deal was very tough, chewy and fibrous. Quite an effort to eat but luckily it was juicy and packed full of flavour which made it worthwhile. Wild rice and quinoa added a wholesome touch with its crunchy and soft texture and finished nicely with mashed fennel to balance out that textures with its light creaminess. Strawberry and cream, dark chocolate and baileys, amaretti Such extravagant flavours for such a simple looking dessert. The dark chocolate tart was obviously made from a high quality chocolate seeing how rich and smooth the texture was with lovely strong notes of baileys giving it lovely hint of bitterness and coffee aromas. Strawberries were fresh and sweet and helped lighten the thickness of the chocolate tart whilst the ice cream helped accentuate the velvety texture further with its creaminess I seriously did not expect such original and creative dishes and such high quality of food especially when no kitchen was in site and we were in the middle of no where on an abandoned train. Staff were informative and friendly which added to the charm of the evening. Portions aren't exactly big but leaves you satisfied and just about full. You do feel you are drinking more than eating but all the drinks were also excellent in quality and a great choice. It's definitely not a dinner you would forget and a great gift to those who like trains and unique food experiences. I absolutely loved it

Reminded me a bit of Bushwick. The decor - very much of the area. Understated but classy. Comfy chairs! Which I never expect in such hipster places like this - you generally get a bench (which they do also have) or something industrial. Service - attentive and friendly without being OTT. Bread course - I love a bread course me, and this delivered big time. Fresh out of the oven with a delicious charry taste which was almost a little fishy smelling weirdly (keeping with the overall theme of the place). Grey mullet tartare - an explosion of flavour: the sauce - oh man. The fish was tender and perfectly seasoned. An incredibly well balanced plate of food - sour, umami and delicious, the yolk added a different texture. Crab crumpet - I had literal chills when I took the first bite. Not often that that happens. It fully lives up to the hype. Their flagship dish and an absolute steal at £16. The crumpet itself was perfect foil for the sweet, creamy brown crab and rarebit topping. Next level delicious. In my top 5 dishes of all time, swiftly followed by.... Curried hake - another in my top 5! The crunch of the crispy potato, the softness of the creamy succulent fish, offset with a zingy, slightly spicy katsu style curry sauce (which I wasn't expecting) which was thick and rich and perfect - an absolute fucking riot of flavour. There was plenty of sauce left so of course I used the remaining bread to mop it up - judge me if you will, frankly idgaf as it was fucking delicious. Peach Melba tart - what a finish! All going along very nicely until I get the crunchy, salty almond brittle in the middle - that's when the party got started boiiiiii! Turned what was already a lovely, creamy, fruity dessert into a world beater - adding crunch and a different depth of flavour. On drinks it was their summer special cocktail Cider Collins - an absolute buzz of a drink, perfect for summer. Zingy af, the cider really shone through but it felt like a traditional Collins. Total winner of a drink. This lunch will stay with me forever. Believe the hype with this place beautiful people!

First of all, it's actually off a main road on the very edge of Tottenham and not far from the resevoirs and lakes nearby. Okay it boils down to this: the food here is damn good! close your eyes for a sec - now think of all typical British pub food and think of them done very, very well. If you like some of what's in that imagination, then go to the Ferry Boat. The steak is particularly good and their desserts will surprise you a lot! The strawberry cheesecake there beats the undies off most fancy cake shops in the city. The atmosphere is good, no rowdy or shady characters here (apart from me of course~!) should make for a decent meal out with friends; a nice and spacious beer garden is also pretty good if the weather is nice (yep, all 4 good days of the year!) The only downer is the fact that the furniture is a bit off compared to the otherwise exceptionally nice interior (with woodfire and country house feel). The chairs are at times rickety, and some pretty mismatched and gawdy. It says 3 stars on top but I'd give it 3.5. I wouldn't cross the city to dine here, but if you want a safe choice and are nearby then check it out. Ash
