I had a nice little bite for dinner here a couple of weeks ago. I was in town with my guy and wanted a meat pie and, most importantly, I didn't want to walk any further. Lo and behold, this little gem was right there! What luck! My better half and I were greeted by a friendly employee and promptly given our choice of seating. We chose a cosy both and perused the menu. Being from the States we don't eat meat pies that often, which really is a pity. Anyway, we didn't know what was the best option so we asked for his help in choosing. The friendly waiter guided us...or more accurately steered ME away from the Steak and Kidney Pie explaining its strong taste, to the safer option, a Steak and Guinness Pie. The Mr. ordered a Jamaican Chicken pie. We split an order of minted peas and just had boring still water to drink. Between us, I think I got the superior pie. It was meaty, tender, flaky and just delicious. His was indeed jerk chicken. (And honestly, why would I want to eat a dinner named after my last boyfriend? That put me right off.) Neither of us were too keen on the minted peas, but I suspect that is a regional favorite as I'd never even heard of it before. Regardless, this was an nice little dinner in a lovely place with good, (read: attentive) service. High marks!

While waiting for our train at Kings Cross Station, my husband and I decided to grab dinner in the area and walked right into this gem. Both of us were excited for some traditional meat pies as it's something we don't eat very often in the States. I opted for the Steak and Guinness Pie, while my hubs went for the Minced Beef and Onion Pie. Both were amazing! The pie crust was perfectly flakey, and the side of gravey hit the spot. Topped off with an ale beer, it was the perfect combo! The server was super friendly, and the atmosphere is down right relaxed. They even accommodated us with space to hang our travel backpacks - super nice! This is definitely the best place to check out if your looking to experience some of the best meat pies.

Delicious meat pies here! I had the lamb pie of the day, the pie was good, and I couldn't finished the mashed potatoes. Bathroom was also clean, I appreciate clean bathrooms! 10/10 will come back.

Arrived in London today, was looking for a quick meal nearby my hotel. I found this restaurant with good reviews so thought I'd check it out . Ordered the minced beef and chicken pie and some tatties. The food arrived in a timely manner, was hot and delicious. The server was friendly. I highly recommend this place to try the pies, totally worth it.

I am in London for vacation and really wanted some British pie to complete my experience here. I'm vegan, so that's a little difficult. But I found the perfect place for vegan pies! The crust was really good and crisp. My mixed bean and veg pie was served hot, straight out of the oven and there was a lot of flavor. There's a lot of crust so you might need gravy but I just had mine with some ketchup and it was delicious. I highly recommend the pies here. The scotch eggs also look good. Perfect place for vegetarians and vegans who want the full British experience.

Classic pork & herb handcrafted scotch egg, served with salad garnish, cole slaw, and a side of creamy mash. And on Thursdays, a free Camden pale ale. Can't beet that!

Wanted to try something traditional on my last night in London. Found this spot that was close to the hotel and very happy that I did. Not a big fan of savory pies, but this place totally changed my mind. Had the venison in red wine sauce with the horseradish mash. It was so good I even considered licking the plate. Then to top it off, they also bake personal sized fruit pies for dessert. Had a blueberry pie with custard poured over the top. It was one of the best meals I have had. Their motto is Pies, Brews and Tunes which were jammin. Don't miss this place if you are in town!

These little pies are crave-worthy. Favorite one so far is the chicken, ham, & leek

I enjoyed a delicious beef and onion pie with red wine gravy (chips were okay, next time will try the mash).

Simply look for The Pie Shop sign and pick your pie which is served with silky smooth mashed potatoes and lashings of rich gravy. Every time I eat a pie this place is my benchmark for the best pies ever! The  menu at Battersea Pie Station includes classics like steak and stout, minced beef and onion and chicken and mushroom, plus more creative, veggie options including butternut squash and goat's cheese. The steak and stout is my ultimate favorite! This place is my go to pie place every time I'm in London. I always try to stay in Covent Garden just so I can come here. This is my basis of the perfect meat pie with the pleasingly firm crusts and sides of mash and roasted potatoes are so delicious. The rich red-wine gravy comes separately in a small jug. I smother the pie with the gravy. Ingredient quality was excellent. They have mini pies and the regular sized pies. Even for a counter-service place this little cafe is terrific value - and you will be surprised that for Covent Garden you can eat a reasonably priced and uber delicious meal that makes me full the whole day! 5 stars can't wait to come back!

Minced Beef & Onion: The most popular, apparently. Smooth and moist inside with a buttery flaky outside. Steak & Stout: Same great crust, but with a very distinctive inside, chunks of firm roast and thick gravy where you could actually taste the stout. Probably my favorite pie here. Chicken & Mushroom: A nice variation from beef, but by no means lesser. With it's large chunks and umami gravy, this was like a quick hit fix for when craving a proper chicken pot pie. Mash & Gravy: The mash was smooth and buttery. The gravy was more than plentiful. Kinda lives under the shadow of the delicious pies though. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Good, but not great. The toffee sauce felt a bit too thick and wasn't as warmed as I like it. The sponge cake was alright, but kinda dry, like they just plopped into the toffee sauce puddle. But it did do a good job of soaking up the sauce with a little spoon dexterity.
