Let me tell you, John will take care of you like your his own kids. So what I mean by that is he will not just fix the problem, but explain to you on why there was a problem in the first place. He makes you feel comfortable with his knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to get electrical work done on there car to go there. What my issue was that I purchased some aftermarket tail lights and when he installed it the brake light didn't work. So he suggested I reach out to the company and explain to them what we did and show them that it's not working and it was there product. They replied back and assumed it was another issue and it may have been installed wrong or my OEM was damaged. John dug a little deeper and we were able to fix it and prove that the manufacturer was wrong. There wires on the lights was faulty. I went to Long Island. Sounds because I needed a rear camera for my Nissan Altima and had the pleasure of meeting John the owner. He is very patient and explained to me that it would be to my benefit to replace the radio also and made recommendations based on financial factors on the different radios And back view cameras. The job was accomplished in three hours, and I must say that I was exceedingly happy with his work and the time that he took to explain to me how the system works. I had to come back twice, not because of any defect in the product but because I need further training on how to use it he was very patient and took the time to do so. I've gone to a few places to get navigation units and remote starters for my past 2009 civic and 2011 CRV. They were more expensive and some of the factory buttons were not useable after. I wanted to install a remote starter for my 2015 Nissan Rogue, I spoke to John over the phone and he was VERY professional and courteous. I stopped by the next day and he wasn't trying to take money out of my pocket like all the other places, he broke down every remote starter module and then asked what I wanted. While I was there, i watched him handle a situation where a customer bought a pre-amped bass box that fits under a seat. John was on it for hours when he ran into an issue. Being that it was bought online and even though LI SOUNDS is a reseller of the brand, he COULD NOT go through his channels for support. It took him a while but got he someone on the call and problem resolved! John did what he did to get the job done and was honest about the hours and the cost even with the extra time he spent and DIDN'T charge for!!! His experience and honesty is worth more than he charges. Very satisfied with the work done here. I wanted to know the work was done right the first time by someone who totally knows installations, as opposed to a mechanic in a shop. I bought both the head unit and front and rear speakers from John, and the system sounds great in my little Toyota. I want to add that John never tried to upsell me on anything I was looking to buy. This was my second time coming here. He's been here twenty five years now. All the 5 star reviews for LI Sound are true. I brought my old 2000 Honda civic to get the radio system replaced. Not only are his prices comparable (if not cheaper) than competitors, he did not try to sell me anything more than what I asked for. I wanted the simplest and so he showed me the simplest, did not try to get me to pay for more than I wanted. A previous mechanic had taken some short cuts on my previous stereo which created extra work for him, but he didn't charge me for the extra time. I was having trouble with my remote/alarm in my MB S550 and the owner John was Super helpful. Here's the thing .. he knew he wasn't getting a sale with me because he doesn't do Mercedes factory alarms... but he Still helped me try and trouble shoot my system. That day he was busy doing his own stuff.... but he took the time out to try and help me ... reset my alarm .. disconnect and reconnect stuff ... and help me. Two years ago I had a bad experience with another company I went to for my sound system. Movin on Sounds in Franklin Square. I spent over 1000 bucks for them to completely mess up the wiring in my truck that never had a problem before the stereo was installed. When i called them to fix it, they couldn't be bothered. So this time when I got another car, I decided to bring it to L.I. Sounds. I'm glad I did. John, the owner, was not only helpful with picking out the best sound system for my car, he was extremely knowledgeable with my cars make and model. He went into his computer system and made sure that the system I wanted would work well with my vehicle. On top of that he explained everything he did and how it all worked when the job was finished. I came to John with a challenge. I wanted to bring a 2005 Volvo into the modern age by adding bluetooth. I purchased a part online and asked John if he would install it. He agreed. Long story short, the part I purchased online turned out to be a nightmare. It didn't work. The company sent a replacement and John swapped it out for me. I was also having a problem with my heat and while John did the swap, he figured out how to fix my heating controls. My mistake was buying something online in the first place.
