Most of our apartment windows face due west, and the summer sun is brutal. It hurt my eyes. So I hired a small company whose job is to apply clear material that includes something that decreases the amount of glare without darkening the windows from the inside. It looks like the big brother of plastic wrap, but is sturdier and comes in different degrees of tint--customer's choice. We chose NEW YORK CITY WINDOW TINTING, which we found on Yelp, where they've earned many excellent reviews. (I'm finally adding mine!) Jerry Ciccio is the principle. He did an excellent job on all my windows. The cost was reasonable, he and his helper arrived as planned, and finished and cleaned up very well. If you wish, you may use my name as a positive reference. Pricing goes by the size of the window(s). You'll have to do some measuring in advance, send the dimensions to him, and then Jerry can give you an estimate. He'ss answer any of your questions and concerns, and is a very congenial guy. Now that the sun is aimed directly at us, the difference is great! read more

Had a great job done on my Bronco the other day from New York City Window Tinting, and would be happy to work with them again with other services. I was looking to get my windows tinted and put out a search on Yelp, NYCWT responded along with some other companies, but they were the best rated, most helpful with communication, and straight forward with services. Called and made an appointment to get the work done and showed up promptly for their first job of the day, they opened up the shop, which is located off the beaten path in an industrial park area, and I drove in. The three guys working were all very skilled at doing what they needed to do, friendly talking about different things, and they got the job done in about an hour, 10, no hassle, straight up. For auto enhancements, I recommend NYCWT read more

They were responsive and helped set up an apportionment right away. Set up for tints all around with a tint strip. Upon arrival i was told it would only take an hour or so. However it took the whole day from my drop off at 9 AM - 6:30 PM. I was the first appointment and was the last to have my car picked up. I have had the tints on for a month and was hoping for the bubbling to go away however, it is still there on the top of my tint strip. The price is alright but if you're in flushing or brooklyn you can get it much cheaper with better tints. read more

It's been 3 days now and it's holding up. Went with this shop based on the reviews. No real personal customer service tho; just basically letting them know what you want, small talk on the different color tints, and that's it. Was willing to spend more to get the better quality tints but my car was already being worked on. Place seems ok. read more

Very pleased with my experience with New York City Window Tinting. Came highly recommended by my brother. Had my windows tinted and the folks here at NYC Window Tinting were absolute pros. Price for the job was incredibly reasonable and the work done was top notch. They also do vinyl wrapping work so I think I might come back and get some other things done on the car. Yeah, Jerry is the man. Arriving at my appointment time, I pulled up intending to park and go inside and wait, but he immediately waved me into the shop. They got right to work. That in itself was different from most of my experiences with any place that does any thing by appointment. It's usually for entertainment purposes and the time that any work gets done is at the sole discretion of the shop. The work took a little longer than I had expected, but only because the guys in the shop wouldn't settle for pretty good. They did a perfect job. It was so good I got pulled over and the cop just wanted to compliment me on the tint job. Sorry Jerry, I told the cop that I did it myself. He gave me a ticket for lying to an officer. None of that cop story is true. But the rest of the review is spot on. Casey read more

So many amateur and pro shops to get tints on Long Island... but THIS is your place if you want the job done right. Jerry was a pleasure to deal and contact with and did the job himself on my car. Quick, easy, and painless, and the quality of tint will withstand the test of time and not be like the "cheap places" that look like a 12 year old's art project. NY state law is getting strict now for car tint but if you still want to be a "menace to society" this is the place to get the job done by a professional. read more

Professional, quick, and very straight to the point. Highly recommend as they did a great job.

Great quality, Great customer service. I am very picky person especially when it has something to do with my car. I just got a new BMW X5 and like with my previous cars the first order of business is to tint the windows. With my previous cars I always went to customization shops for high end cars and I always had a negative feeling when I left. The job was done, but something always had to be changed or fixed in order to satisfy my need for perfection. At NYC Window Tint it was different. I drove in on Friday, got an estimate and were given several optional appointment dates within the next couple of days and a lot of options for the type of tinting tape. Which never happened in other places I visited. I dropped off the car at 9:30am on the day of the appointment and got a call at 12:30 that the car is ready to be picked up. When arrived the car was finished and clean. The tints look great. No water/air bubbles. No waiting. No scratches. No dirt inside the car. No glue or dirt on my new leather seats. Job well done all around. It took me 5 minutes to drop off the car and even less time to pay and pick it up. And the price is amazing (compared to Brooklyn performance shops) I will be back with my next car. read more

Hands down the only place you should let touch your car are Jerry and his crew. The Best!!! Just awesome!!! Cant recommend enough!!!

Jerry and his tech (Joe) are great! Had a little Jetta with distorted tint, and I called to ask a few questions. I managed to schedule an appointment and the car looks great with the tint replaced. That was the test vehicle - we had them work on our work truck this week: back-up camera installed, after market door locks, cameras on front and rear cab windows, an alarm system and of course, new tint. Work was done in a professional manner. I have two more vehicles that need similar work. Planning on bringing them in soon. Highly recommend - look no further. Conveniently located off the LIE. read more

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME SPOT! Wasn't sure where to go to get my tints done this time as last time was a HORROR story just to save a couple bucks. Was in the area and yelped a location, came upon this place and saw Jerry's (the owner) video and decided to give it a shot. I got a little lost and showed up about an hour and half before closing and he just said "Don't worry buddy, just pull the car into the shop". Jerry was EXCEPTIONAL. Gave me access to the TV while I waited and was very helpful in figuring out what was the popular tints to go with for my needs. Did a quick and BEYOND professional job. It's been a week now and the tints haven't even bubbled in the slightest bit. I've been recommending him to everyone I know, at my dealership to my customers and to all my family. And yet another nod to Jerry. Through the years I have had tints put on each of my cars; none came out better than the job Jerry did. While many tint shops are poorly run, Jerry runs NYC Tinting with professionalism. From the first phone call to secure pricing info he was courteous. respectful, and responsible. The work was performed as scheduled and I have no reason to doubt the tints will look as good in a few years as they do now. I just got a new car and will be bringing it right in to Jerry. read more
