If you value your vehicle, please don't bring it here. I've had three different cars worked on here, two of which have come back upwards of 10 times in the past three months. One of which was brand new off the dealer lot. Head-unit screens turning on and off, sound cutting in and out, incessant hissing, broken and damaged interior pieces, bent door clips, uninsulated wires left touching bare metal. You name an issue they caused it. This shop to put it politely has an elementary school level understanding of physics, the concept of Ohm's law is lost on the two individuals who work here. I will not claim to be an expert on these topics but the people who are working on the complicated the electrical systems of modern vehicles should be and I'm telling you these guys aren't it. For example, everybody from DIYer to professional mechanic knows you should remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal first before performing electrical work to avoid damage to the sensitive computer controlled electronics in a vehicle. These lovely gentlemen A. Don't do that and B. If they do disconnect your battery out of necessity to install an amplifier, they remove the positive terminal only, risking short circuiting your entire vehicle. The amount of uninsulated connections was appalling, wires with no insulation left dangling just asking to touch bare metal and potentially damage the vehicle. On an amusing note, their use of car audio jargon is just a poor attempt to confuse and mislead you in to buying more upgrades or services from them. Don't fall for it, they don't know what half the words that come out of their mouth mean. The owner referred to the amplifier turning on and off causing the sound to cut as clipping when that's simply not what clipping is. There are countless examples of this nonsense that I've observed over the past three months, please don't fall for it like I did, save your money go else where, or hey use it an excuse to learn a new skill. An amateur can do a better job than these guys. They'll upsell you or deny every issue they cause: Hissing? At first "oh that's normal" and then "oh you need a new head unit" Steering controls not working? a new module Amplifier turning off randomly? You need a new amp and wiring Broken plastic? "It happens your just obsessive" The funniest proposed solution has to have been using an official apple charging cable as if that was going to solve the kindergartener level internal wiring job done to my poor cars. I'm sure the owner will reply to this with the a high school flunky level to attempt to discredit my character and claims but I welcome it, I've included pictures of some not all of the disastrous things they did to my car. You can judge for yourself who's right. I'm normally understanding when it comes to professional work not turning out the way it should as I realize it can be complicated but this is over the line. I'm waiting patiently for the "well you had these issues with one car before us", a boldfaced lie, my head unit rebooted once or twice in the year I've owned it before bring it to this place and the other car was brand new with less than 500 miles on it. In our final interaction, he told me I was obsessing over small details and kicked me out of the shop saying "your done" like I was a child he was reprimanding. I don't think wanting your sound system to work 100% of the time and not wanting your interior damaged with super glue, adhesive, wire strands and broken plastic is obsessive and I think most people would agree. I bought the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX from a reputable online seller, along with the necessary cables and harnesses (you have to do your research) to have an installer set it up for me. Looking on the web, I found these guys and gave them a call. From the moment I spoke with Adam, I knew I had made the right decision. He was polite, professional, and spoke in that way where you know he was listening to what you needed. On the phone, he quoted me a fair price for the install. By fair, I mean a price that is balanced between making sure you aren't being ripped off, but also a price that reflects the quality of the work you expect to have. Plot twist: this Pioneer unit was to replace a seriously-aged Kenwood aftermarket unit in my car that was installed by my vehicle's previous owner. To my surprise, Adam accommodated me for a same-day installation. Your mileage will always vary. I must have called at a good time. I had a consultation with Adam when I arrived. He asked me some questions about my vehicle, and the Pioneer unit I purchased. He was satisfied to know I had done my research and bought the right cables and wiring. He even saved me some money with a cable or two that I ultimately didn't need! Through my observations, it was clear that Adam and his installer have a great partnership. It took them about 2-3 hours for the installation, which I thought was fair. I didn't mind any added time because they accommodated me on the same day, and I felt that any time needed was fine as long as the work was quality. When it was time to pick up my vehicle, Adam took me on a small tour of the unit. He knows his stuff! He watched as I set up wireless CarPlay, chose a good radio station or two, and let me sit in my car and fiddle with the new controls until I felt totally satisfied with the job. My am and fm went out on my factory 2004 g35 coupe Bose radio. Read the reviews for uncle jacks car stereo, decided to give them a shot. It was a pleasure doing business with Adam and George. For anyone who doesn't know, working on 03-04 g35s radios are a disaster. It is all inter-connected with the climate control and navigation. They did a great job installing the replacement kit and updated radio. They even helped me change out my viper alarm siren and an amp power line connector because it was broken free of charge. I brought my 2008 toyota tundra in for a backup camera and a radio system that has apple carplay. I've had those features on my last 2 vehicles and wanted to bring them into my fathers truck that I inherited. Adam went into great detail on the phone with me, giving me plenty of options and recommendations with what system will work with my trucks speakers the best. In addition, he also did not pressure me into any hasty decisions and allowed me to do my own research. Another cool thing Adam did was that he was able to provide me with a backup camera that is built in to the tailgate handle, rather than the typical license plate one (which is ultimately why I went with this shop). Adam texted me photos of the products and continued to text me answers to any questions I had leading up to the appointment. He finished the full installation about an hour and a half before the estimated time. He also told me if I was not happy with the color trim of the radio in regards to the rest of my car's dashboard, he'd gladly replace it for free just to keep me happy. He also provided me with a full demo of how to use the system. In addition to all of this, it all comes with an installation lifetime warranty should any problems arise, however I really don't think any issues will happen. Originally I had written you a good review because I thought my problem was fixed but it wasn't and we spoke a few times after that with you full knowing that the problem wasn't fixed but you kept giving me excuses on how the car was in an accident but now how you rewired the car and how now the wires now looked beautiful and neat, I didn't pay you to make the wires look pretty I paid you to fix the problem which was the battery continuing to die and the car not starting. You continued to pass the buck telling me that it was an electrical problem that had nothing to to with the system as well as that the car was in an accident and stopped taking my calls as you wanted nothing more to do with it. You even called us to thank us your exact words were "I never had my batteries charging up to 12 volts thank you so much" 6 months after the initial job was done you vehicle battery was supposedly draining. I was set on upgrading my car stereo system with an amp, sub and 4 new door speakers. I was shopping around between 3 shops and I found uncle jacks on google. Upon walking into the office I quickly realized I was in a professional atmosphere. The owner was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and willing to tell me what I needed according to my desires. I really didn't know much about costs and speakers but at no point did I feel like I was getting upsold or conned. I was presented with 3 different options of different price points and different brands. Ultimately went with the JL speakers and box with a 5 channel amp (great call) to complete my setup. Adam showed me his personal car with his set up and gave me something very similar to that. I made an appointment to drop off my car and was called the night prior to confirm which I really appreciated. Once I dropped the car off the crew immediately began to work and by the end of the day, 930 am to 6 pm the car was complete. They took their time and the entire day to do the install which I thought was very thorough. Adam also told me he would test my system and make sure it was tuned perfectly so that when I came I'd be in and out. I would send my grandma here to get any audio works LOL. I just picked up my Toyota Highlander Hybrid from the dealer and wanted to install a Viper remote starter unit before the big Noreaster arrived. But the storm was expected to hit on Tuesday and it was Sunday. I checked Yelp and found Uncle Jack's. I spoke with Adam and he told me that if I got there soon when his installer Frank arrived, he could do it. Although I had eyeballed the Viper 5706v on Amazon, Adam patiently explained the pros and cons and I wound up getting the Viper Smartstart system with a bypass module which was CHEAPER than the 5706. As I waited the crew offered me pizza and kept me entertained. Two hours later, I took my daughter to the new Batman Lego movie. After the movie ended and as she waited on the line for the bathroom, I thought I'd test the unit. I pulled out my cellphone and hit the start button. From inside the movie theater to my car which was parked a block away inside a parking garage, my phone told me that my car was successfully started. N'ough said. Adam rocks! read more

Brought my old 1998 Audi A4 to Adam at Uncle Jack's for a blown speaker. I told him it was my intention to sell the car next year and I didn't want to spend a lot. I dropped off the car in the morning expecting to spend about $250-$275 for a new pair of rear speakers with installation. The Audi requires that the rear seats be pulled out and deck be removed, so it isn't an easy fix. Adam called me about an hour later and reported that my old Bose system has two subwoofers on the rear deck and only one was blown and crackling. He was completely honest and said that the only replacement that would sound good in this scenario would be the original Bose subwoofer which is $$$. He then recommended that we just detach the left subwoofer and let the right one do the job. No need to spend all that money now. It would sound fine. He charged me just $50 for his labor, which was very reasonable and greatly appreciated. And, best of all, he was absolutely right. I played my thumping Springsteen CD all the way home and it sounded great. The rear deck looks fine, too. No scratches or finger prints. Very clean shop. Thank you so much, Adam. I will definitely recommend this place. Adam knows his stuff and he helped me configure my Apple Play properly to my 2002 Toyota Avalon XL when I bought a new radio system. I completely agree with the reviews posted by many of the other satisfied customers of Uncle Jack's. My experience with Adam and his team echoes a lot of the other comments: "professional", "knowledgeable", "integrity", "quality/excellent work". I brought my aging BMW to Adam and asked for his help in diagnosing an repairing what I thought were speaker malfunctions. He very quickly informed me that my original amplifier had been destroyed by water leakage and my speaker wiring was a nightmare caused by unprofessional installers. My business with them was to diagnose a problem with the factory stereo in my car, and the result called for replacing with an after-market product and speakers. I want to thank Yelpers for Yelping their experiences at the different stores. Yelp reviews people posted were a huge helping me pick a reliable store. I decided to have Uncle Jacks upgrade the stereo in my 1998 minivan. I was a walk in, and they installed it while I waited. I'm particular about who works on my car and they had no problem with me watching what they're doing. They sold me just what I was looking for. A blue tooth system with Pandora and jacks to connect my tablet or phone. They installed a SONY(not touch screen) that's easy to use without taking my eyes off the road to use the unit or pick up a call. The touch screen units were a bit pricey for my budget, but the store owner was more willing to work out a better price if I wanted a higher end unit. Another customer was there having an amplifier connection repaired. They did a neat job on both our cars and we were done and out of there in a timely fashion. They back my stereo and the installation for a year. It worked out perfectly for me. I would do it again. read more
