I had Mitch put in a remote start in my Ford Expedition and when I came back after 6-7 hours my truck smelled like he was smoking cigars. Mitch is the real deal!! I originally purchased a Viper Alarm + Remote Start (Model 5806v) back in October 2016 with the intentions of installing it myself. After tons of research and the thought of taking apart my car, splicing, soldering, shrink-wrapping all connections, etc...I found it to be a daunting task! However, I've had alarms installed before on my previous cars and never liked the way a "professional shop" hacked into my wiring harnesses and created a wiring mess underneath my dashboard. So I researched all the local shops from NYC to Long Island and couldn't find anyone with good enough reviews to trust. So one day, I browsed Craigslist (of all places, right?) and found someone who said they had 30 years experience and MECP (Mobile Electronic Certified Professional) Certified, so I decided to contact them. That's when I came across Mitch. After a few emails back and forth, he gained my trust because there wasn't any BS and knew exactly what I was talking about (regarding bypass modules, diode isolating door triggers, soldering connections, etc...). I decided to schedule an appointment with him and see his work first hand. It was relatively simple scheduling an appointment with him; we decided on a day and time I would drop off my car, give him the time he needed to do his work, and a pick up time. I left my car with him all day, dropped it off around 9AM, then picked it up around 7PM. When I came to pick it up, Mitch took the time to explain all the features of the alarm as well as show me how everything worked. He even installed a few extra features for ease and comfort which I tremendously appreciated. I requested that he take a few photos of the workmanship, as I greatly appreciated the attention to detail he spent in cleaning up the Viper and DBall2 wiring harness, installing it so that you virtually can't even tell there was an aftermarket alarm in my car! I am extremely happy with his services and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an installer that cares about workmanship and extremely knowledgable when it comes to anything 12 volts! With all the untrustworthy businesses and people in the world, it's nice to see an honest man working hard to earn his reputation. About 4 months ago I had Mitch install an Android head unit that I purchased in my Pathfinder. He took his time and did a super clean install and reprogrammed the alarm in my truck. He also pulled out the Alpine in my Audi to make some changes to the way it was hooked up. We worked out a deal where he'd take a set of new tires in trade for his work with the understanding that he was getting the better of the deal and he'd owe me a favor. Here we are 4 months later and I needed a favor. I was NOT expecting him to even reply to my email but within 2 hours he had replied and said he would swing by over the weekend and remove the Alpine head unit out of my Audi. I was not going to be around and was expecting that to be an excuse for him to back out. Nope. He came by and did exactly as he said he would. THEN, 2 weeks later I contacted him to change a setting in my alarm. Again, within the hour he replied and said he'd pop over and make the change. 6/16/18- As a response to a email I just discovered in reponse to a TEXT: Mitch you saying I hate you is really oversimplifying things. I don't hate you but I do hate the job you did & how you are not accountable for your mistake. I paid over $900 I didn't have to:to fix a job you did because of all things it was causing a parasitic battery drain and no it wasn't by one of your competitors as you like to claim but by a BMW indie tech. I TEXTED you to let you know & you decided instead to EMAIL me which I just discovered. I'm sorry but YOUR MISTAKE cost me lots of money & aggravation and a car that wouldn't even start at times due to you splicing into an incorrect wire. Coincidentally since getting my car back ,my radio now works better so how do you answer to that?? 3/27/18- Edit:Being as I am tired of getting in my car and getting worse and worse static when I try listening to my radio.I will just say don't do it.I went to someone else who told me that during the installation Mitch didn't ground something correctly . I lost use of 1 of my cigarette lighters so he could hook up a slot to connect my cell phone and whenever I plug something into that outlet I get nothing but static and my radio is UNUSABLE.Yes the radio i paid over 1k for. I could've gotten it done at a legitimate shop by a licensed person for that. On top of that Mitch didn't offer to drive to me when it needed to be fixed; prior to me paying him he'd offered to installation in my driveway.After the issues I had no such luck. He was always "busy" and it's very inconvenient for me to drop off to him to tinker with all day. He hasn't even bothered to get back to me since than.To top it off he hounded me to leave him positive reviews which I did until I realized the magnitude of how messed up my system is.I'm hoping to save someone else the headache.You've been warned.. Just wasn't happy with the work done. I will say Mitch is a nice person and offered to fix the issue with the horrible radio reception but I did not feel comfortable going back and to top it all off I could not take it back as I could not afford to be w/o my car at the time.This would not be necessary if it had done correctly in the first place . Most stations are fuzzy and some don't come in at all. Just terrible.I could've paid a few dollars more (yes I priced it) and gotten it done correctly but I went with Mitch because he seemed like a nice guy & I wanted to give him a chance. So that was on me & I will now have to take the loss.3 stars because he did offer to fix it though I just wasn't confident he could. Gave me guidance on a problem I was having with my dash cam and rather than look for a service charge he suggested something I should try before he had to come to my house. Guess what? It worked! Can I begin to tell you Mitch was beyond amazing . I was referred to him by my brother . I drove all the way from Brooklyn to have a back up camera installed . The work was 200% neat. He even adjusted my Mickey Mouse weather protection mat free of charge . Mitch was very respectful and knowledgeable. I even left my car with him while I stayed over my brothers house . They all had one thing in common: They all made a MESS. Endless return visits, repeated equipment failure including stuff they weren't supposed to touch, stomach-churning aggravation and obscene prices. Definitely will be back, this guy knows what he's doing and he walks you though the process as well. I brought my friends 2016 Honda accord here after another individual managed to screw it up. He was able to fix it back to the original manufacture system. I also brought my boyfriend's 2017 Nissan Altima here , he was kind enough to tell us exactly what to buy and where to get it for the best price. The car came out great ! His work is very neat, when installing a system some people just put it in not caring if the amp is secure or if the wires are just hanging . Mitch made sure everything was perfect . As for pricing he is beyond reasonable. Like I said he had no problem telling us where to get all the wires and what amp to get so we took our own equipment to him. Mitch did an awesome job installing DVD players to the rear of my headrests. He managed to hide all the wires and even came up with a way to mount them to the headrest poles so that the kids will be able to see them. He put a cutoff switch up front and made a custom splitter so that I have the option to listen on the player's speakers or the truck's speakers. This guy does meticulous work and really takes his time doing it so that it is done right. He could have cut corners, but didn't. I'd go back to him if I have any more A/V needs. read more

Save your money and time. Probably cheaper than the next installer, but you will pay again for someone else to do the job. He states he does a good job, but when you look at the job you will scratch your head and say WTH. He worked on m truck various times and had to call him back, as well, several times (good luck getting him back). Very unreliable! Please, save your time and money. I am not bitter; he just stinks! Well, I can certainly say that Mitch did an awesome job on my three vehicles! He came at 6AM and stayed until every one of them was finished. I couldn't be happier with his work and the quality of the remotes that he provided with the installations. My life has certainly changed now that I have the remote start on my three cars. Why did I wait so long? I knew the winter was coming and I am not getting any younger. I am so glad that I found Mitch and will say that he seems like he is the best in the business and it doesn't get any better.
