Occasionally have a size Large- not even a joke---- I just walked out of your store after talking to the 2 very nice girls who were working this Sat morning. - I grazed through all of the clothing options on one side of the store and noticed a pattern of XS, S, and random M size items which caused me to ask the 2 girls working if all they carried were XS and S ( slightly jokingly) and they said "Yes those sizes and Medium and occasionally Large" OCCASIONALLY??!! Wow. The girls did say they "are trying" to widen their size options... lolk. Hey owner: DO BETTER. BE BETTER. read more

This chic, cozy, little boutique packs a mean retail punch in my wallet every month! Located in the west village, next to Starbucks, it is super convenient for last minute "date" shopping! From flirty tops and dresses to Twisted Heart sweats, this place has it all. Every brand here is upscale and you won't find every Mindy and Cindy in town wearing them. They always have great sale items going on too. Aside from the amazing clothing, the jewelry here is AMAZING! By far the best fashion jewelry place in the city. Sometimes, it can get a bit pricey, but like I said, it is the BEST. Trendy pieces flocked with semi precious stones that are perfect to take your ensemble to the next level. Most importantly, the women that work here, including the owner, are so fantastic. Extremely helpful, warm, and they will never tell you something looks good..... and let's face it...your ass looks huge. Instead, they will recommend other options and keep the clothes train goin! Choo! Choo! Around Christmas time, the owner Laura Bush... yes that is really her name, gave me a fifty dollar gift certificate to her store! Just for being a good customer! WOW!!!! WHO DOES THAT?! I absolutely LOVE L Bartlett. It is my go-to boutique in Dallas! Whether I need a cute romper, boho accessories, cocktail dress, or sexy swimwear, this place never disappoints. It's a good idea to ask to be part of their email list because they frequently have trunk shows to debut new designer collections they will carry. (And they often offer cocktails & gifts with purchase, which is always nice.) The owners and sales associates are so friendly and welcoming. They are even dog friendly :) If you have a tag-along shopping buddy who doesn't enjoy standing around while you gush over their clothing (aka boyfriend), there's a nice couch they can patiently relax on. I especially love L Bartlett in the Spring/Summer season because of the swimwear! They have gorgeous tunics, floppy hats, Wildfox sunglasses, Havaiana flip flops, and bikinis that compliment all body shapes. This place is definitely worth popping in if you're in West Village...I guarantee you'll be a frequent shopper after. :) read more

I used to love shopping here! I have been a loyal shopper for a few years. Recently I needed some pieces and didn't have time to run to the mall so I stopped in to grab a few things for my trip. Upon returning from the trip, I realized that the items were still in the bag. I had only brought a few pieces on the trip, therefore I wanted to return them. Buyers Beware-You cannot return anything here, Store credit ONLY and must be returned within 14 days to get the credit. I spoke with the manager twice and to much avail I didn't get anywhere because Number 1-I wasn't aware of the return policy and Number 2-I brought it back past the 14 days. The managers reasoning for not accepting returns was that "The return policy is on the receipt"; My response to here was "Even if I read the receipt it's a little late to explain to me that you don't accept returns once I have purchased the items." Crickets, she literally couldn't even muster up a response. Terrible customer service overall, I was really disappointed because I use to love this store. I just don't plan on ever going back. If you do buy something, realize it can't be returned for cash, credit only and 14 days!!!! 15 days, you are sadly out of luck. read more

The 2 star rating is my overall rating but I feel I should break it down since there's good and bad related to my experience. The Good (3 stars and above): -Clothing options make finding unique pieces easy -Liked a lot of their separates - for dresses see my "disco" comment under "The Bad" -Employees were friendly and helpful but don't overdo it and bother you - exception, the owner (again, see "The Bad) The Bad (0-1 star) -Selection is small so you may not be able to find your size -Some pieces look a little too disco/"big Dallas hair" for my taste -The owner was a snob - especially compared to the staff -You have to put up with West Village tude Update after my second visit. The owner/manager contacted me after reading my review which I thought was professional. I recently stopped by and if anything, I would take away another star. I walked in 10 minutes after they opened. Some chick greets me with, "I didn't hear you come in." But that's it. She made it sound like I should have made more noise and made myself known. Rather than climb around their window display I asked for her help to compare a hat. I must have interrupted their morning routine. I found a hat I liked (and needed for that weekend) so I bought it and got the heck out. I can officially say I'm done. read more

This would definitely be my favorite shopping spot in all of Dallas if I could afford everything I laid my eyes on in the store. The jewelry selection alone makes your heart flutter. The beautiful dresses and flow-like blouses make you quiver in anticipation, and the jeans selection make you wish you had no budget ceiling. The buyer, or whomever chooses the designers, is spot on - not only aligning with the hottest trends, but very poignant with Dallas's style, as well. Any resident of Dallas is aware that us ladies like to gussy it up. And this store caters to just that. But everything garment, quality-clunky necklace, ring, or earrings, and beautifully crafted handbags makes this small, local boutique just an all-around great shopping spot. I am thoroughly impressed with their selection of women's clothing. Beautiful materials, and the prices range from $35 and up. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the employees took a considerable amount of time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop! I visited on Saturday, and they were offering complimentary chips and salsa as well as margaritas! Love it! read more

This place is great. Great location for easy parking in the West Village next to Starbucks. They carry some of my favorite designers that I haven't seen anywhere else in Dallas (i.e. Jenny Han). They recently expanded so they have more selection than ever before. IF there is a con, I would say limited in size selection. Once something is gone, they probably won't have others in that size. SO take what you like and don't look back! One drawback, they don't give full refunds. Even on full priced items. read more

They really went down hill after moving to Snider Plaza from West Village. I live 5min from West Village and decided to drive to snider plaza because I really like this boutique and the selection, etc. I visited about a few wks ago, excited to find something and was greeted with a dry hello; that's it. I looked around a bit, but their inventory didn't seem like west village- it's a larger space, but less items?? Anyway, another girl came in after me asking about bathing suits and the 2 girls working the store were just so excited and OMG! Friendly to help her. There were only 2 of us girls shopping in the store. I left. Poor service and self-absorbed employees. Don't know if I'll be back. read more

Almost all of the clothes in this store can be found at other boutiques in Dallas for less money! Their merchandise must be purchased through the same manufacturers because I have found the same dresses and tops for a lot less. Some of their jewelry is fun but overpriced as well. You are paying a premium for the trendy area.(Don't get me wrong I love West Village) I got my make-up done there and was personally very dissatisfied with the girl who did my make-up. She acted very preoccupied and I actually saw her out not long after acting well let's say not like a lady(putting it nicely). Not good for the image they are going for if you ask me. Long story short I would not recommend this boutique and if you do not believe me check out lulus.com they have a lot of the same dresses and tops for a third of what they are being sold here. I really like shopping and enjoy buying top brands but when you see a dress being sold for $80+ and then see it somewhere else for $37.99 you really hate to know people payed the higher price! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE @ A WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FASHION BOUTIQUE VERY disappointed and disgusted with the customer service experience (or lack there of!) at the "L. Bartlett" store at the Dallas, TX location. I went into the store a couple weeks ago with a friend, looking for a nice outfit for an event that we were attending that night and was pleasantly surprised to find not only a dress, but a fashionable belt, camisole, charm necklace and bracelet. When all was said and done, I ended spending way more than I expected, but felt it was worth it, because the jewelry and clothing were (and still are) beautiful. The night of the event though, I had an unexpected medical emergency that kept me from going to the event that I spent all that money (over $400.00 in total!) at the "L. Barlett" store for. I recently tried calling the store and speaking with the store manager working at the time to explained my medical emergency situation and also work out a way to return my bought items (that still have the tags on them and are still in their boxes & bags) only to be disappointed (and somewhat shocked) to be treated not like a valued customer, but just another number in their register. I offered to send back my items in the mail, since I was only visiting the area (and "L.Bartlett" store) of Dallas, TX (making it inconvenient and impractical to use the "store credit" the store manager offered at the time of my conversation with her) - only to be treated once again like my situation and my attempts to work out a compromise with the store, didn't matter (subsequently making me feel as if I didn't matter). All in all, my experience started off okay (albeit a somewhat expensive) with the "L. Bartlett" store in Dallas, TX and then I felt the store treated me very badly when I attempted to get my money back on clothing and jewelry that I STILL HAD A RECEIPT FOR! I will NOT be shopping here again (or referring anyone I care about), now that I know what the term "customer loyalty" & and "customer service" means to this store! read more

Don't even bother going into this store if you wear a size bigger than a Medium. They didn't have anything in a Large and barely anything in a medium too. When I asked the sales associate if they had anything in this size, she basically said they barely get size Larges in their store at all. Just needed a sundress and left feeling upset and and looked down upon for the size I wear. Will never be coming back. read more

I came in here looking for waterproof eyeliner to wear to a wedding and the gal working there was super helpful and friendly. She spent a good 10 minutes (using up several makeup remover towelettes in the process) contemplating colors with me (smoky, brown, etc.) before we decided classic black was the way to go. Though not their primary sales focus, the smaller collection of Smashbox and Too Faced cosmetics they had in stock was sufficient to meet my needs. read more

I used to enjoy this store but the employees aren't the greatest and most of them act entitled. I bought a romper on sale (sale items are final sale) and realized when I got home that it had a HUGE hole in the side. I called the store asking if they could make an exception to the sale items rule. The employee asked to see a picture so I texted her a couple. I was then told she could give me $2-$3 to have it fixed. I thought this was absurd so I went to the store to see about another option. I was offered to have it fixed, which at this point didn't want that if it was so cheap to have broken in the first place. I was told that there was nothing else they could do, even after I offered to take store credit for the item. Nope. Nothing. So although you can find some good clothing from this store I believe that customer service is what brings people back. I have bought quit a few things and have never even tried to return something. I will start telling people not to go here because they do not take care of their customers. read more

It has been a long time that I have left a store and immediately have written a review! First off the clothing in this store is SPECTACULAR!! The customer service was on par with my personal shopper at Neiman Marcus! My sales associate was Pryanka- and let me tell ya something this little lady was AWESOME! She listen to my needs and what I wanted- showed me everything under the sun plus mad some outstanding suggestions.. Being from Miami we have pretty awesome shopping but crappy customer service and these women in this store BLEW MY MIND!!! I can't say enough about this boutique! I honestly don't think I would be shopping anywhere else long as they ship to me and the website has what I need- I'm going to be a true lifetime shopper here.. I feel bad that I'm from Miami and I can't come on a weekly basis BUT long as UPS is still in business I have no issue shopping here!! Thank you ladies for all you did for me today!!
