L'Atelier is a great spot to have a few drinks, dance, and have fun with friends. I made the unfortunate mistake of stopping by on the way home after a day at the spa and was greeted with loud music and an extremely crowded bar. If you're in the mood to party, L'Atelier is a great spot. The food was surprisingly really good. We ordered the chicken caesar salad to share and licked the plate clean!

Great atmosphere, friendly staffs and great service. Tartare was awesome except fries and croutons. Dip Duo was tasty. friends love their cocktails. I had virgin Jack Sparrow but it just tasted like a coca cola with lemon. Ambience was really nice and we had great service and time. The restroom was a surprise that everyone in our table all went to take a look :D.

Second time in Quebec City and 2nd time at this place.. it was alright but obviously first time was better.. service : almost inexistent I felt like they forgot us in the back. Food: ok .. nothing special but their sister resto (ophelia) was a 5/5 so wierd We stayed in the area so we walked it instead I don't recommend coming by car because there's lots of no park zones and I watched people get tickets all night lol The food : burrata was good just lacked vinaigrette on the arugula beside it wish there was some acidity My wife had the duck confit Salad it was amazingwish i got that lol My flank steak was 2/5 no seasoning and overcooked Overall it was mediocre for such a fancy place Not sure ill be back

Excellent food and excellent drinks. Went with a group of 8 and took the front window on a very snowy night. Appetizers of stuffed olives, some with almond and some with pepperoni. A vegetable plate with eggplant and hummus and crudités. Some onion rings to share. These were really good. Everyone got a type of tartare but I got the vegetarian one. Deliciously light and crisp as well as acidic with Granny Smith apples and tomatillos as well as little hunks of cheddar.

Filet mignon was amazing, the way the presented was very nice, the poutine was on point and the Mac and cheese lobster was really good , I think it's one of the better lobster I ever had. They let me take my dog in the outside dinning, very nice waitress. I can't complain.

SO DELICIOUS! We went on a Friday night and this place was packed. My husband and I waited about 25 minutes for a table and when we got to the table the service was pretty quick. Burrata - was so yummy! As you can tell from the picture i forgot to take a photograph before starting to eat lol. Beef burger and house salad - burger was solid. I wasn't the biggest fan of the salad so maybe would stick to the other sides that come with the burger. Chicken burger with Poutine - so good! Loved the poutine. The gravy was delicious. Amaretto Sour - also really delicious. Couldn't taste the alcohol it was blended in really well. Churros - Not the best. A little too sugary and the chocolate sauce was not good. The caramel sauce was a little tooo sweet. Would try maybe another dessert.

This place is situated near the Fields of Abraham Museum along with many other restaurants. We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed it. The weather was great and we ate outside. Servers were pleasant and the food was excellent. The salmon tartare was real good.

Hidden within a row full of other restaurants, this one stood out to us mostly because of the menu and the staff who greeted us as soon as we walked by. We were served by Francois, who was super friendly and helpful when it came to deciding what we should order. My friend and I both ordered the poutine which is a typical French dish in this area. I guess we just weren't fans of french fries drenched in gravy, but the cheese itself was amazing. We sat outside since the Ambiance was really nice and the weather was just amazing. I went inside the restaurant a couple times to use the bathrooms just because they look super...and to wash my hands.

Had the appetizer with buffalo mozzarella, capriccio de buffalo, ham, Brie cheese and other cheese. It was wonderful. We had the dark-hoppy beer-- Vox Populi and my friends has different whiskeys. It was a pleasurable place, Then at 10:00PM they had live music.. the crowd was fun, the bar tenders were great, then even spoke to me in Spanish. Next time I need to try the main dishes, but for appetizers, and a bar hopping night out- it was excellent.

Its almost midnight on a Saturday night, and you just finished checking into your hotel. Where are you going to get a good meal at this late hour in Quebec City? Luckily L'Atelier's kitchen is open until 2:00am on Friday and Saturday, and serves quality food with a warm Quebecois smile. The lovely hostess and tattoo'ed waitress both gave us a friendly welcome on our first night in French Canada. This was the complete opposite experience we had in France three years ago... $27.50 Salmon Tartare 8oz...was this invented in France? Or Hawaii? No clue...but this raw salmon tasted fresh and delicious enough. $23 Steak Frites...I had to stick with the classic for my first meal in French-Canada. Simple, cooked perfectly, and delicious. $7 Churro Dessert...far from Mexico, but still good enough with lovely dipping sauces. We also spent about $30 in booze...we're on vacation! We sat outside in a nice heated outdoor patio, but on Fridays and Saturdays the main interior becomes a loud night club. This looked like a popular spot for locals, so give it a try if you still have energy.

That means, no basic ingredients like citrus are used. That's basically telling the bartender they cannot make 99% of cocktails in mind and have to take risks to make something tasty happen. That concept in itself is a recipe to create things that will be genuinely and authentically Canadian. In other words, experimentation at its finest. Opened in 2024 by the team behind Quebec City's only 2 Michelin starred restaurant, Taniere, this is now the spot to be for those in the know. So, how is trial and error going of crafting something genuinely Canadian? Cocktails are superb on both taste and presentation. The food is remarkably plated with extremely high quality ingredients. Everything tastes excellent. If that's not enough, the entire interior looks like a very private club and the team of servers and bartenders is superb and welcoming.

I also hadn't had a charcuterie board this trip yet, so splurged on one here. It came with three types of cheese, three types of meats, two types of pickled onions, traditional cucumber pickles, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, an onion puree, a mustard puree, and bread. First off, I appreciated they actually provided the appropriate bread-to-other ratio. I feel like normally you run out of bread while eating a board but I actually had bread leftover with this meal! The cheese and meat were good of course, but I want to make a special call out to the onion puree, which was like condensed French onion soup, and the cucumber pickles, which were some of the best pickles I've had because they tasted so fresh, like they had just been brined. All of this on a deck looking out towards the river. Stop by here after late afternoon cruise with Croisieres ML across the road to continue enjoying the river view! Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - limited street parking nearby - several complex mocktail options available. I wanted to try one so bad but I was too full for more!

One lady in lower town took special delight in telling me "sorry, we're all full tonight", while I stood there with numb fingers and a raw red face where hail hit my face moments before. I passed Alphonse many times the last few days but tonight, instead of just passing through, i stopped in to look inside as another customer held open the door waiting for me to enter as he exited. So naturally, I went in. I was afraid they were about to close, but the hostess was welcoming and with a warm smile, showed us to our seats. The food was so good! We ordered the French Onion soup. My kids loved that the bread in the soup was still crunchy and not soggy. The baked Brie was a delicious start of what is to come next. My entree was the low temperature salmon. It was the chef's special (they call it inspiration of the chef). It was a salmon dish that is lukewarm. The salmon was so tender, it melted like butter in my mouth. It was a decent portion too. We got dessert to share- crème brûlée- also good! Ambience is smart casual.

We decided on Alphonse because it was basically only one of a few restaurants that were still open. We sat outside on a balmy September night and watched the people go by. Melanie was our server and at first she seemed a little off-putting but she was awesome. Friendly and wasn't put off by the dad jokes the men in our party made. We got a range of dishes from pasta to nachos. I got the ham croquettes and they were delicious. The prices were reasonable, the service great and the setting was delightful.

Words cannot describe the warmth and comfort of visiting this restaurant on a cold winter day,…read morecuddled up next to their fireplace drinking some of the best hot chocolate you've ever had. Nothing will come close to comparing! We heard good things about the hot chocolate here and wanted to check it out for ourselves after being out in the cold all day. We chose the spiced hot chocolate, as recommended by our server. It was absolutely delicious-- rich, flavorful, creamy, and everything that a hot chocolate should be. Although the price was a bit steep, we had enough for 4 small cups and it came with two scones and whipped cream on the side. We also got two "biscuits", which we thought were going to literal biscuits, but ended up being small pastries which were both tasty! We were lucky enough to snag the seats right next to the fireplace which ended up being the perfect way to spend an hour hanging out. We ended up coming back for a light dinner the same day and also really enjoyed our time. There was a live pianist performing which really elevated the dining experience. We started things off with some oysters, which honestly were some of the best I've had in a very long time. The dipping sauce was a bit strange and untraditional for me, but it was perfect with just a bit of lemon juice. We also got a burger to share, and when they accidentally brought out a side salad instead of the fries we requested, they let us keep the salad and brought a huge entire order of truffle fries for us (!!!) Canadians really have some of the best fries too because these were perfectly crispy and honestly didn't even need dipping sauce. The burger also didn't disappoint and was savory goodness. I wish we tried this place sooner! Would highly recommend, even if you're not staying at the hotel itself.

3.5/5, +.5 for service…read more This was my family's last stop in Quebec City before driving back to Montreal. Q-de-Sac is a restaurant in Old Quebec (lower town) that's more of a bar setting. They have some Quebec staples like poutine and foie gras, and a selection of 10" pizzas available. We came here for lunch and each had a French onion soup. I had a Shack's Poutine by myself, while my mom and dad shared a beef cheek pizza. The French onion soup was a bit salty. I find it intriguing that multiple establishments in Quebec City kept mentioning their onion soups as the "best in town", including this one. This one was good, but I'd give Chez Boulay the crown from all the places I tried. The poutine, on the other hand, was excellent. Will never say no to plentiful cheese curds, and I don't mind foie gras at all. My parents enjoyed the beef cheek pizza, particularly highlighting the BBQ sauce and the smoked beef cheeks. Service was excellent. We arrived around 11:30am and there was one other table taken, but by the time we left around 1pm there was a lineup. Personally I would come back here.
