The painters are all long term employees curated over 30 years and it shows! The crew was 3-5 people and they were very well organized, friendly, and most of all, hard working! The crew lead, Javier, was like a master overseeing his apprentices while working harder than everyone. Chris came on site several times over the week to check on things as well. I was amazed by all the prep work the crew did and well they cleaned up at the end of each day! Chris says the prep work is the most important part painting and it pays to do it right. His experience is vast and helped us select our colors from our finalists along with advising on some other non-painting related work we needed done such as sandblasting, roofing, and gutters. TL;DR: - Chris and his team are both efficient/ultra fast and skilled at their jobs (finished in a week, half the estimated time, and produced very high quality work) - Great work ethic from his team: on time, flexible, and clean (everything was organized and put away at the end of each day), despite scorching hot weather - Able to repair eaves (whether it be refurbishing or replacing) to be brand new - Chooses highest quality paint and won't get any paint on surfaces you don't want it on (the ground, lights, other decor) - Chris has great taste when it comes to choosing a color scheme for your home More Details: Firstly, Chris has great artistic taste in terms of what colors to choose to best fit your home. Our vision for the project was to refurbish our home to become more modern, which meant choosing a different exterior paint color. Unable to decide which colors to choose, we asked Chris what colors he would recommend. Not only was he able to immediately recommend different colors, but the color scheme he chose for us fitted our home perfectly and was exactly what we had in mind. Chris and his team's work is of the highest quality. Many of our home's eaves had been damaged by termites and needed replacing; many of the wooden boards were not only very high up and hard to reach, but also very large. Yet, he said it was no problems and his carpenters were able to make our eaves look brand new. They even went beyond replacing the badly damaged boards and helped sand and fill in the rest of our eaves! The paint was also of the same level of quality. Chris will help you choose the most premium paint that both looks nice and is more grime resistant than other paints. His painting team is highly skilled: there are no paint bubbles or flakes, no messy streaks or flecks to be seen, and they'll make sure any lights or decorations on the exterior walls are removed or completely covered. The greatest merit of Chris and his team, however, is their work ethic. We were in the middle of a heat dome when they started work, meaning temperatures were in the high 90s to 100s all day. Despite the unpleasant weather, Chris's team would arrive on time every day and work with no complaints. The workspace was always kept clean and organized at the end of each day; upon finishing, they made sure the surrounding area was extra clean. The most surprising thing is, the team was able to finish the project in a week, a whole week faster than the original 2 week estimate! It is amazing how quickly yet masterfully they were able to complete the work in these summer conditions, and we thank them for all their hard work (not to mention that they were able to start work a day or two after Chris's appraisal). His team is also very flexible. We initially weren't planning on repainting our garage since it was newer, but after seeing how it looked with the new colors, we decided we wanted to repaint it as well. Even though they were wrapping up when we asked them, they were able to immediately purchase the needed paint and still finish on the same day! We also needed someone to paint the entire house, including the eaves, wood windows, trim, and exterior doors. As the project progressed, we also added on removing a window, re-siding the back of our house (a long wall without stucco), installing a new back door, and replacing our old garage door with a brand new one. Through all these changes, Daniel and sons rolled with the punches and delivered an absolutely gorgeous end product. They even consulted on paint colors, and I could not be more satisfied with the results. As a bonus, Daniel and his sons are just the nicest people you'll meet (and you will meet ALL four sons). I'm originally from the Midwest, and they reminded me of everyone I know from back home - friendly, honest, and always up for a chat. They stopped by the house every day to check on progress, and I feel like I really got to know them. A++ communication. Don't hesitate to call these guys! He kept lying, telling us he would show up, he consistently would never show up. He didn't pay his guys. He was messy (got debris everywhere). Took weeks to pick up his scaffolding, so that was laying around the building everywhere. He left our side gate open for 2 weeks due to his scaffolding getting stuck, increasing risk for our building. Terrible value. Not worth the time or money. He will only introduce stress into your life. Not trustworthy. Not clean. Not a good person. --- Writing an update to respond to his comments on my review: 1. He didn't come on the days where it was dry. We texted and called, he ignored our texts and calls. There were 2 weeks in a row where it was dry, then it would rain, then 2 weeks dry, then it would rain, and repeat. He wouldn't come at all during those 2 weeks. He also, at no point, mentioned any "slipping hazard". The scaffolding was completely dry during those periods. He said he would show up on "this day at this time", and then simply never showed up lol. 2. Any claims that he did "additional work" is a lie. I have text messages showing the exact locations we asked him to patch. He only patched those locations. He didn't add new ones. 3. He said he "cleaned fences free from stucco" after he left a TON of stucco all over our walkways and fences, and he only cleaned it up after we told him. Extremely sloppy work environment, he will decrease your property value. 4. He said "it was a new employee that expected daily rates". But that doesn't explain why his employee was calling every member of our HOA board every week for months asking what happened to Justin. Justin ghosted him, and never paid him even 4 months after the job was completed. So he can stop lying about paying bi-weekly. He just simply didn't pay his employees... ever. 5. He likes to cite his other 5 star reviews. But let me step back and tell everybody that I had to teach this guy how to send emails. I had to teach this guy how to write an invoice. I had to call this guy dozens and dozens of times over months to finish this job. If we didn't hound him, he NEVER would've finished the job and his stucco propping our gate open would've left a massive security gap in our building. There are so many other plaster companies out there. I'm telling you to save yourself time. You have many options to choose from. Do not choose this guy or his company.
