In person the lady who owns the salon is "nice enough". However let me tell a story. My husband bought me a gift cert and when i went to the salon it was closed. Turns out despite the "walk-ins welcome" sign they are appointment only. By them I mean it's just her. I booked an appointment for 5 days after my initial walk up and when i called to confirm the appointment which I thought was at 3pm I was told it was at 1pm and i would miss it since it was 12:58. I asked if i could come in later and she said she didn't have any appointments until after Christmas. So I asked for the gift cert money back. She proceeded to pretend to speak with another women and tell the fake women that i wasted her time and wanted my money back to which the pretend women said that I couldn't get a refund. I had my husband call and he managed to get a 3pm appointment for his "sister" cause they had a cancelation. REALLYYYYY!!!!! So i went as his sister. When i got there she was nice enough and I got a gel manicure and pedicure which is quite rough around the edges not worth the $80 she charged me. I felt somewhat bad because she was nice enough and decided to give her the $5 as a tip that i had in my bag. She then told me it wasn't enough and told me to add another $16 to the credit card as tip. I told her I would be back and decided to not return. This lady has no concept of how to treat a customer, she wants to retire and I suggest she go ahead and do that now. read more

I was a walk-in and only needed waxing ; upper lip and brows . The salon was completely empty other then one client who was being helped and there were two other employees that I saw while I was briefly in the salon. It was 10:30am an they said they didn't have time to do the service . I guess they were so busy standing around helping invisible people that they didn't want a tip or money for the service they advertise that only takes maybe 5 minutes . I will not return and it's not just because they refused service , but because how rude the lady was when she told me she didn't have time to . read more

You DEF NEED AN APPOINTMENT. Only one salon tech, the owner, and she gets upset if you come in and she has someone else scheduled. So solve the problem and call first, or go elsewhere. read more

Simply the BEST! Excellent nail professionals and genuinely nice and caring people. I'm always treated like family. Salon is well loved so I would suggest calling for an appointment. First time at this salon today, and it was amazing! I've gone almost 3 years without a pedicure or manicure and this was delightful. Bob was super in his technique! His wife and his mother also work there and they were so delightful. I left this salon feeling like I just got adopted into a new family. They are warm, funny, and a pleasure to be with, but most importantly, of course, is the finished product. My nails look lovely!! I could not be happier and so look forward to my next visit! How delightful! Family owned. Mother, son and his wife do their best to make you feel at home and part of their work family. While you're there, they will introduce you to everyone who walks through the door! I've noticed they keep most of the conversation in English so everyone feels pretty comfortable. APPOINTMENT ONLY. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE. To be fair, I've never been here... BUT I've called for a week and a half, in an attempt to get a mani-pedi. They were leaving early for spin class first time and the other THREE times they were booked for the day. I don't get this town. I'm here for work for three months and get my nails done bi-weekly or weekly (with four, other women who all get their nails done on the regular too). I'm so over calling them and getting the "too busy" for you run-around. Moving on. read more

We were in town on vacation and they were able to fit my 2 young daughters and myself in for pedicures and manicures the same day we stopped in. The girls loved talking to little Kim while she painted their nails (and they loved the extra coat of sparkle she added). Bob was also terrific and gave us all kinds of tips for local restaurants and farmers markets. We felt like we were part of the family by the time we left and promised we would be back next year. Went in today for a pedicure and they will be my new salon. Family owned, mother, son and wife. Very friendly and respectful. They called everyone Ms Barbara, Ms Betty, etc. they spoke English and they were interested in what you were saying. The prices were good and when I left, the wife gave me a hug like she had done with the others. Nice people! read more

I believe the correct name of the salon is Le Nails and it is absolutely fabulous. It is located near Big Lots in the Bird Bay Plaza. I am new to the Venice area and this salon is as good as if not better than the salons in NYC. It is family owned and every member takes pride in the work they do. I went today for a pedicure and it was better than my podiatrist. Give them a try, you will be a very happy camper. read more
