This was me and my friend's first time going to this nail salon and will be the last. We only went there, because our regular place was fully booked and we want to go at the same time.They charge you for ever little thing. They charge you 20 dollars for gel. My fault I should have asked everywhere else is a 5 dollar up charge. We both were unhappy with the service. This location is located in a Publix, Panera plaza, that is around the block from my mom's place. Mom needs to have her nails done. Simple job, remove the overgrown gel polish, cut her nails, and do a basic manicure, not gels. We walk-in, place only has a couple of people not busy, so great they will take her. Lady/Manager walks up, mom shows her nails to the lady and says, I want to remove this gel and get a regular manicure. Mom wants to know how much, they quote her $15. Totally reasonable. Mom picks a soft almost clear pink with sparkle and off she goes to get her nails done. We go run an errand in the plaza. 25 minutes later, we come back, and I ask to pay for Mom's nails. I'm now told $20. What happen to the quoted $15? I'm told, by the same lady/manager that she had gel polish and that's $5 more. Well, you saw her nails before you quoted her the $15 and now it's $5 more? Her response is well yes, but I didn't know they were gel nails and those take longer to remove. Really?!? My issue is the "let's collect more off you after I secured your business approach", which I find dishonest. Especially if my mom, a senior of 80+ were the one paying. In this case, I understand the additional $5, but why didn't you quote that when you took her hand and looked at the obvious overgrown gel nails?? We paid and I didn't tell my mom the extra $5 was charged, but I won't go back. Be honest and upfront with prices. Taking advantage of an elderly customer is unacceptable. This was my 2nd time trying AFTER 2years, this time was a pedi. I asked for a small little bling, they taking the right size off, put a bigger one one, then I finally gave up & justc wanted to get out, as I look down. The damn HUGE rhinestone was falling off, which i always get gel, but they rushed me, switch 2 techs... this is the worse place & they also made people wait, saying they will see them soon, finally one client asked how long& told her 30 min.... This nail shop is less than five minutes from my home. I pass it all the time when I go to Panera and Publix. They're all in the same plaza. I like to try different nail shops, at my convenience. I simply love the luxury of walk-Ins and being seen in a timely manner. Normally I get basic style and colors. Today, I came in with pretty high expectations. I not only wanted good Customer Service but wanted specific nail design. When I walked in i was greeted right away. I presented the young nail technician "Mia" the screenshot photo of the design I'd like to have for my nails. She's very patient and knowledgeable. She helped me select the color polish that would match closely to what I wanted. The style design cost me $76. I'm not sure if that cost is reasonable for powdered nails or not. This was my first time doing powdered style and design. I normally get gel nail on my natural nails - for work purposes. I'll definitely be back and request Mia again as this location is super convenient. One bone to pick with this nail shop and nail shops in general - Accept Amex payments. First of all they soak my feet before filing nails... Second, all the pedicure ladies and gentleman weren't wear any apron above their clothes. This is anti sanitation. And bingo, they cut my cuticles with NO GLOVES!!! First time in my life it happened and I didn't know what to do. I was about to stand up and went away, but I want it to be done the same way. I visited this nail place on 6/15/21 and I'm so disappointed on how my nails came out not only did it take the lady who did my gel refill a while to do my nails but they came out awful. A few of my nails are different shape, lumpy, and the gel color is slightly faded on a few of my nails!! Ugh a waste of not only my time but $$$$ ! Not sure how this nail place is still in business! Went there for a kids mani-pedi and a pedicure for myself. My child's toe color bubbled up before we even left. Their solution to correcting it was putting more polish on top. I know it will come off within a day or two but whatever. Next, I had one nail on my hand broken and I asked them to fix it. The shape is awful. Nail is too thin and the polish literally has dust under it. You can see she painted right on top of the dust. My pedicure was pretty good but the nail polish came off a bit when she was doing the top coat so I had to ask her to redo it. She got up to leave and I asked it to be redone. And even then, I now somehow have a dark hair or towel fiber inside my light nail polish... Would have been one star but the girl that did my nails did try. They just need to be more careful and not go through people so quickly. read more

I went in wanting a full set of acrylics.. wrong decision.... I blame myself for not researching it better. When I sat down there was a disgusting towel full of the last person that was there. I've been to this salon twice now. The first time was great and I even recommended them to others. Today I called and got an appointment. I still had to wait and that was fine. However, the person they had start my service clearly didn't want to do a pedicure. I think he's the young man who cleans and sets up stations and for some reason they had him start my service. When she told him to do my pedicure, he gave a face of clearly that's not what he wanted to be doing. And it showed in his effort. He was filing my nails/skin, he began clipping my cuticles with out any softener on first and multiple times hurt me. I asked why he wasn't using the softener and his response was "I was trying to save time". I'm sorry but I'm paying for a service, I expect the full service. Shortly after, they switched him for someone else. She was only a little better. She spent more time rubbing lotion on my legs than my feet. There's polish all over my toes, even though she tried to clean it up. But she was more pleasant than he was. When I was checking out, the lady asked how things were. I explained that I wouldn't be back. She said that he was tired and that's why he wasn't doing everything he was suppose to. I explained that it doesn't make hurting people ok. She never apologized. I wouldn't recommend and even though my first visit was great, this was so bad that it makes the first like it never happened. Posting this for my wife since she does not have a Yelp account. I will also add that I wish I had bought gift certificates to a better place. Both times she went the experience was less than pleasant. So you can imagine I felt bad and a little guilty for having giving her this as a gift. On the positive side I can always make it up to her by helping to find a better place - one that knows how to provide a decent service and pleasurable experience to customers. "I would give it zero or negative stars if I could. Tried the place twice, both times were bad. Note - I probably would not have tried a 2nd time but as my husband mentioned I had a gift certificates. So I figured I would give it another chance. The first time I made an appointment for 5. Got there at 4:50. At 5:20 I was still waiting to be seated. Another woman walked in at 5:10, she was seated before me. I mentioned this to the person when they finally took me and she said I should have made an appointment. When I said I did she had no reply. The second time they sat me in the chair. 35 minutes later I am still sitting there, no water soaking my feet, nothing. So much for pampering myself and getting some much needed relaxation. Waited over an hour and someone that was there after me (no appointment) was seated before me. They made it seem like it wouldn't take long to wait but when I started to get up from the massage chair to leave is when they came over and said it would just be a few more minutes- I just walked out. I was hoping this would be my local nail place, but alas it will not be. Two things happened at my apptointment that are dealbreakers. 1. I Came in for an American manicure, and ended up leaving with a French manicure and my nails not the correct shape I asked for. Even after I told him about it he did nothing to fix it. 2. When I was ready to pay, I only had a debit card for the services and tip. He informed me that he likes his tips in cash, and his manager said next time bring cash. This was the most unpleasant experience I have ever encountered at a nail salon. Remind you I have never gone there before, they don't know me I don't know them. The woman who did my toes starts a conversation about the thousands of dollars she spends on braces and every word out of her mouth was about money. My pedicure is the worst one I have ever had and I've been doing this for 20 years. She sends me over to someone else for my nails. My nails are all different lengths. Totally unacceptable. I found this little place about a year ago and at first, I was very happy. The owner, Jessica, and her husband, Peter, were very fastidious and friendly. But within the last 6 months, it's sadly gotten impersonal and rushed. I've asked nicely for what I've wanted and it's ignored. At my last appointment, Peter was distracted by other employees and customers and at one point, got into an argument with his staff member regarding a client from the day before. I could not keep his attention at all and a 45 minute appointment was 2 hours long by the time I left. I'm sorry to see its decline in customer service. I'll not be returning. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since we moved here to Sarasota last December. I made an appointment and took my 14 yr old twin granddaughters with me to get their nails done for their birthday gift from me. They were both very traumatized when we left there and said they hate this place. The 2 owners Peter snd Jessica started out to do their nails snd when they told them what they wanted, Jessica called me over to her to tell me that it was going to be $5 more for the long nails she put on them. Then $5 more to shape them $15 more for the design they wanted on them and kept adding $5 more for everything she was going to do because it was a lot of work for her and it was going to take her 2 hours to do them. My granddaughter said never mind Nana, I don't want to get them done here! I don't like this place and I dint like these people (Hesduca and Peter) she said I'll just wait until I get back to Texas and go with my mom and get mine done. Both of the owners ganged up on me and told me to call around and see if anybody else is cheaper than them and blah, blah. blah in their language. I just wanted to leave and go somewhere else, but Joe is the one who does my nails and he is really good. So I let him do my nails while Jessica did my other granddaughters nails. So she ended up saying that she would give me a discount, so that I would come back. I looked at my granddaughters nails after we left and it was a really bad job on her nails. The design she wanted that was a sample they showed her wasn't able to be done, because Jessica didn't know how! So she just put 2 dots snd a line on each nail like a smiley face because that was all she could do. The undersides of her nails were black and blue and different colors when she had a new clean set put on. They looked horrible. So they left and went back to Texas today and will go get a professional job done when they get home. What a fiasco for what was supposed to be a fun day for us to all get our nails fine together! Moved back to the area and the place I would normally frequent was undergoing renovation. I Initially called for an appointment and was given a 3:30. I sat waiting for a full 30 minutes after I arrived "early" for the appointment. Was seen at about 4pm and ended up with a new person. I would think to retain clients you would give a new person an experienced technician but that was NOT the case. The start to finish for a gel pedicure and dip nails took 3 1/2 hours. They even tried to put gel polish over my dip nails (not the process of dip nails). Communication was not accepted as I was told they were to pick my colors for me, only after reinstating that I wanted to see the colors and decided on my own did I get the choice for color swatches. Three days later my toes chipped with "gel polish", which I will add has NEVER happened in the many years that I've had this done. My nails were over the cuticle to the point they started to snag on my hair within a couple days. If anyone is seeking the same service and you don't have a quarter of your day to waste, please go somewhere else. Not only was this a giant nightmare from the beginning, service has got to be better anywhere else other then here!
