We stopped her for breakfast with the family. There were 6 of us. For parties 6 or more they will not split the check, just a heads up on that. The service was good, the food was ok. It's definitely has the old times feel to the place. The menu is different it's not your ordinary breakfast menu so if you are looking for something different maybe check it out. I personally won't not go back because it just wasn't anything to write home about in my opinion.

I ordered here early morning eight at opening. I attempted to place a phone order but no one answered. I ended up coming in and ordering. The server greeted me promptly and came over shortly to take my order. The phone rang and she told me to hold while she grabbed their order. Off to a weird start ..... Now on to the food. I ordered the equivalent to the Route 21 but with no meat. My order was cooked to perfection. I may order again but I am a little hesitant.

The turkey club. Large and delicious.

The place looks kind of like a 40's restaurant. It's very nice. The service is good except they didn't ask if we wanted dessert and I really did. The food was very good and the prices are reasonable. They close at 1:30 so you need to get there early. This is my new favorite place.

Great breakfast! They have a large dinning room with lots of tables. Big menu and many things to choose from. Fast service!

This is a great local place with super friendly service. The decor is nothing fancy and the prices are great. They have a big selection of items in the $8-10 range which is getting harder to find. I had the spinach supreme omelet and a side of bacon. It comes with sliced potatoes and choice of bread. The portions are large and the coffee is good. The service was very prompt as well. There are lots of choices for breakfast in the area but I will definitely return here.

A well known gem in the Independence area that serves some of the best breakfast I have ever had. The place is pretty spacious with an open floor plan which gives it a comfy vibe. The staff is always nice and punctual. My husband and I ordered to go and our food was ready in like 15 mins. This was a busy day too and we were in and out. We ordered pancakes, pecan french toast and a breakfast combo. The food is a large portion that fills you up but still leaves you wanting more. My favorite item on the menu has to be their breakfast potatoes. I love how they are made with a crisp edge and soft insides. I'm excited to try more menu items in the future.

Amazing prices for the quality and quantity of food. I always order take-out and the food is always ready within 10 minutes. The main woman who runs the front desk needs to be protected at all costs. She always makes my day with her positive attitude.

La Pete's is hands down my go to American breakfast joint in the Cleveland area. Here's what you should know about LA Pete's: * the food is great & the menu isn't huge. I've yet to try something that wasn't good * Try The bacon! It's huge & thick cut. you just have to try it! * The prices can't be beat. I can get a breakfast with French toast, eggs, potatoes and bacon for 6.99; less than a drive through fast food joint! * The staff is always friendly and the service is great. I can be a pain ordering sometimes and it's never been a problem here and my orders always spot on!

This restaurant offers absolutely the best French toast. I got the banana & bourbon caramel bread…read morepudding French toast ($16.50), and it was divine. What makes Scratch's French toast so good is that they don't use plain old white bread for it. Instead, they use sweet bread pudding, which makes for an utterly decadent and delicious breakfast. The pieces of bread pudding had crisp edges while being soft on the inside. They were topped with sliced bananas and a rich bourbon caramel sauce, and served with maple syrup infused whipped cream that was almost practically ice cream. The French toast also comes with your choice of sausage or pork belly. I opted for the sausage patties, which were tasty and homemade. I also ordered the orange juice ($4.50) and home fries ($3.75). The home fries were delicious. Crispy potato chunks that were the right amount of salty. Between the French toast and home fries, I left stuffed. Service was also great. My server was very friendly and welcoming, and came to check on me a couple of times. Notes - it's a small place with a couple of tables, but I was able to take a seat right away on a Friday morning. Every table comes with 2 bottles of hot sauce - a red sauce and green sauce. You pay at the cash register after you get your check.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

This location is right down the hill from my hotel, so I thought I'd give them a try. The place reminds me of "Village Inn"... A 24 hour restaurant a step up from a diner we used to have out in West Texas and the Southwest. I wonder if village inn is still around...but I digress. The first few moments in the door were ominous. I watched an older gentleman pacing... waiting for a to-go coffee. All he could say to his wife was that "she disappeared...". It had probably been 3 to 5 minutes when he finally asked about his coffee... meanwhile... I was still waiting to be seated. The server gave the older gentleman his coffee with a half-ass excuse about being needed in the kitchen. Once seated, my server was pleasant enough. No nonsense. Took my order and only checked on me once after I had my food. Opted for the taste of the farm trio...basically a Thanksgiving plate. It was okay. You can tell with the uneven heat levels in the food they must make large batches in advance. Overall: it was okay, nothing to write him about. I'm fairly certain all the employees in this location hate their lives. No one was overly friendly. Probably won't be going back to Bob Evans during my trip.

Upon arrival, there was no hostess present, so I walked past to the carryout area. One customer was ahead of me, and a cashier walked away. She never returned, but yelled to the customer that she had 2 more times being prepared. I watched who seemed to be a manager walk up ans proceed to check out customers from the dining area, who I had been waiting for about 10 minutes ahead of. He never greeted me, nor looked my way. After another 5 mins he walked back over and asked was I cashing out, or picking up. I gave my name and he handed me the bag. He never apologized for the wait, or even thanked me for stopping in. I arrived 2:42p, I did not leave until 3:06p. The food was obviously cold when I got it, and my son's French fries in his chicken tender kids meal were, sparse and tough. I've never had an issue like this with Bob Evans before. I will never be back to this location, if at all. There are too many mom and pop places, to choose from.
