I always try to find a good massage place while on vacation. I have to say, out of all the massages I have had in my life, Kevin at Kyoto gives the best. He applies the right amount of pressure, great techniques, and I was never in pain. Very relaxing and euphoric- he probably heard me snoring! Good stuff. Not sure why other reviews said they don't have private rooms- I had a private room. All professional and very clean. The pricing is reasonable so make sure to tip generously if you enjoyed it b/c they earn it! I also received a foot massage from a lady and it was magical. Though Kevin is the real star. We walked in on Saturday afternoon for some reflexology. We were told to come back in 5 minutes so we went to get some adult beverages and came right back. The experience was so good! The place was very clean and my feet felt brand new when I left. My friend had the back and shoulder massage and loved every minute of it! We will be back next time we are in the area. read more

I came here as it was one of the few places that had availability in the next 2 hours, the review seemed promising on google reviews. However, I did not have a great experience. I did a 1 hour full body massage. The male masseuse ultimately did a 50 min back massage and 10 min of head/arms/legs. The morning after my back is in pain. At the beginning of the massage another masseuse came in and started massaging my feet and they tried to upsell me on a 4 hand massage. Thankfully I read another review that mentioned this tactic. Barely any lotion was used and it was quite uncomfortable. The masseuse also had long nails which did not help either. A lot of the massage was repetitive and I was hoping it was almost done. At one point I turned over and noticed the curtain to my room was also open, which made me a bit uncomfy as I was a women and partially unclothed. wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. They know what they're doing, it was a great massage. Friendly staff, decent prices. However, they make it so awkward and obvious that they are trying to take your money. They were pushy at the front desk and also during the massage about extra time. I got the 30 minute combo, and then he asked if I wanted more time, I said I didn't, but he continued... I let him continue because the massage was pretty good and for this time, I'll assume it's language barrier. They are already good at what they do, I think they lose by trying too hard to sell. read more

I've gone here a few times in the last two years and loved it. I have some nasty knots and tension in my upper back and neck from being hunched over a computer all day, and they do a good job loosening my muscles. I also appreciate that they answer the phone promptly so it is easy to ask questions and make appointments. I am giving two stars only because they did do a good massage ! Buyer beware they will tell you one price in the beginning and try to sell you more time during the service when you're half asleep and relaxed. We agreed to a price of $80 for a full hour massage, after they tried to charge me $155 at the end of service. Almost doubled my price and didn't even add extra time. I was so relaxed and stress free until I had to get into an argument with all the workers because they had one motive and that was to rip off tourist. I'm not pleased with their customer service. It started as a 30-minute massage, but we extended it to an hour. At first, they tried having 2 people work on us at the same time for 30 minutes and wanted to call that an hour. One of the men gave me a massage and everything was fine until he proceeded to stand and place his pelvis unreasonably close to my arm. While he was standing there, he started using his body weight to apply pressure on my shoulder blade - but in doing so, he was also essentially humping my opposite arm. I thought I was imagining it until he did it again on the other side - tapping his pelvis against my arm while using his hands on my shoulders. They don't do the extra spa stuff and overcharge. This place is focused on giving you a good massage that will make you feel so much lighter afterwards. I didn't really have the best experience here. They advertised a 10 minute massage for $15. 10 minutes was perfect because I was on vacation with my kids and didn't have a lot of time to spare. When I sit down the man points to the menu and asks me if I want more time. I told him no because my kids are waiting for me. The man proceeds to speak in his language to another worker and then they both start to laugh. The massage was way too rough and there were times he was digging his nails into my foot. I asked several times for him to ease up because it hurt and he would just stare at me. The worker made me uncomfortable multiple ways. He asked me AGAIN if I wanted more time. When I said no he laughed again. I'm sure some condescending statement was said. It's safe to say I'll never return here again. Save your money! read more
