Chicken Teriyaki Dinner Bento Box

Food and service were amazing! I ordered chicken teriyaki bento box and the food kept coming! The portion was huge (the miso soup and salad are not in the picture) The staff are very friendly and professional And the food was super fresh and absolutely delicious. It definitely reminded me of the restaurants in Japan!

I am so happy that i found this place! It's a family owned. The staff is super attentive and friendly. They have a huge selection of rolls. The rolls were very fresh and tasty! Highly recommended.

Tempura Noodles

Another local spot that we have never tried before. Upfront, the place look small but when you get in it is pretty decent size. It was past midday when we got here and we decided to get some light food but I ended up craving for some noodles, ordered the tempura one while my wife had the sushi. I also got some sparkling water and didn't expect they serve pellegrino. I was really thinking of a simpler one. The food was served I believe within 15 minutes of "window of good mood" and we were delighted on the food. The sushi were prepared good and fresh which is the standard way and my tempura was crunchy and served on the side and my bowl has good amount of noodles has lots of chicken meat. That's a two thumbs up! This place is situated on the busy four corners and if you are driving there is a public parking spot nearby. I believe its 50 cents per 30 minutes. Check left and right when crossing the street. I highly recommend you guys to visit this place either dine in or order to go.

My favorite local sushi spot! Super fresh sushi and amazing bento boxes. Service is wonderful as everyone is so friendly. Love getting the chicken or shrimp teriyaki bento box, you'll be nice and full for a great price! Highly recommend

This small shop is minimally decorated and unassuming, but the service and the rolls are anything but simple! The staff is quick and kind and extremely helpful. The rolls were phenomenal. We got Volcano, Inferno, Kyo maki, yellowtail jalapeno, and Toro signature roll. These were all fantastic. The smoked salmon in the inferno roll really makes that roll stand out, followed closely by the fresh citrusy spice of that yellowtail jalapeno roll with the ponzu! The Toro signature roll was really good, but in my opinion, not special enough to warrant being the highest priced roll. Being new Westchester residents, we've found our sushi spot!

Parking is terrible! We have to park in the public lot across the street & if you plan on staying, feed the meter or pay for an hour advance through the parking app.

Special sushi rolls...Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll and Honey Truffle Roll..it was amazing!!

We stumbled upon this incredible sushi place on accident but boy are we glad we did. The sushi was so fresh it melted in our mouths. The restaurant is situated on a busy street but we found metered parking just east of the restaurant. The decor is simple but the sushi is full of flavor. It's by far the best we've had in Westchester and the bill didn't break the bank! This will be our go to sushi spot for sure!!

Miso soup & green tea

I really hate giving a bad review, unfortunately we found Kyo to be lackluster at best. After reading the previous reviews I thought this would be a good option after shopping in the nearby Organic Market (a Hartsdale gem btw). Upon ordering after coming in from the cold, we welcomed the starters of hot Miso soup, steamed shrimp Shui Mai & green tea which warmed us well, sadly it was all downhill from there... My sushi & sashimi were definitely fresh, but on the dry side and served in a very miniscule portion. Hmmmm... He ordered the Teriyaki chicken, and informed me, it was bland, dry and rubbery. Not fresh. He ate a third and did not take home leftovers. (When the food is good, we take home leftovers). Maybe Kyo has seen better days before tonight. The place felt a bit dusty and old, it could use a fresh coat of paint and cleaning. Thus, we asked for the bill, and headed back out into the cold night to go home, thankful for the hot green tea which warmly initiated and ended our night. *The service was very attentive and friendly.*

I've ordered a few times now and am always impressed - quick delivery and quality sushi. I don't love their carrot ginger dressing or salads, but the sushi and Japanese dishes are great. The chicken in the chicken katsu is really good quality. Although not traditional sushi I love the Midori roll - cucumber and avocado on the inside and chicken tempura with a yummy sauce on top.

Fujinoya is a rather small Japanese restaurant in Hartsdale…read more They have sushi bar which is small but their sushi was great in quality. Dining room has about 10 small tables so packed on Saturday night with waiting line to outside. We had Izakaya kind of menu choice this time and they were true Japanese taste and I can easily feel this place own by true Japanese owners. They had good deal drink special and a jockey of draft with an appetizer $8, we took that of course. Great fish and meat appetizers menus here. Ramens at the end of dinner we call "Shime", were ramen and they have a few different kind and our two kinds were good. It's important for us that ramen noodle not over cooked and hot soup, they didn't fail on that point as well. They had a few other good Shime foods on the menu, too. Two of us ate and drunk pretty much and the bill came $140, that is reasonable for the amount and quality of food and great services. I'd better come here more often and should try their lunch as well.

Sorry to downgrade my review but after last night's dinner I feel the need do. The miso Ramen…read morebroth was not great, egg was overcooked and the pork was tough. Noodles were good. The sushi/sashimi quality was just ok, not top tier. In the past the sushi texture was very good. Bento box was a big disappointment. A 4 piece sushi roll and 3 pieces of sashimi were the "meal" portion my husband selected for his box. In the box was a small amount of seaweed salad, tossed Japanese salad, a piece of rolled cabbage that wasn't edible, and potato salad. Cup of miso was served separately. I have never seen potato salad served in a bento box and I've eaten a lot of bento boxes. No spring rolls or shumai or gyoza which is usually included in a bento box. (see photo)

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10…read more Ambiance : 9/10 I've been here several times for their regular sushi rolls and appetizers, and they've never disappointed. This review, though, is all about their omakase experience. As always, the service was exceptional. The owner and staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely make you feel like a valued guest. The only reason this wasn't a perfect 10/10 had nothing to do with the restaurant. It's a small, intimate space, and unfortunately another table had a baby who cried throughout much of the meal. Not the restaurant's fault at all, but it's something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet omakase experience. Now for the food, the omakase was fantastic. I won't go through every course because part of the fun is the surprise, but what really stood out was the fish-to-rice ratio. Every piece was generously topped with beautifully fresh fish instead of being overloaded with rice, which I absolutely loved. Each bite was thoughtfully prepared, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Dessert was another pleasant surprise. Instead of the usual ending you get at many sushi restaurants, they served matcha ice cream topped with sweet red bean paste and pieces of mochi. It was unique, refreshing, and the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, I'll definitely continue coming back, not just for the omakase, but for their regular menu as well. If you're an omakase fan or looking for a quality sushi experience without breaking the bank, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Pay attention to the 5 star reviews. Those are legit. We go in person because they often give us complimentary appetizers, which have included blue fin, king salmon and others in creative and delicious arrangements. Our favorite menu items include: sushi deluxe, tricolor sushi, heat roll. However, the sashimi is the best part- fatty tuna, yellowtail and salmon are the best. And they've converted me on fluke and kingfish.
