Went opening weekend right after a rainstorm so the line wasn't as bad...though we still had to wait quite a while - looking forward to returning on a less crowded day! The matcha milk swirl soft service was great and I look forward to trying the hojicha when they have it. The brown sugar boba cake was pretty good too. I think I like the brown sugar boba mille crepe cake at Prince Tea House more due to the type of cake but the flavors are similar. The interior is cute and there are a number of tables inside.

OMG, this was a grueling grand opening wait. We got there at 11:25 AM and didn't actually get inside until 2:12 PM. Almost three hours. And of course, there was line drama. There was an older woman who kept using plausible deniability to cut the line every time we moved into the shade. I knew she had gotten there at least five couples behind us because I literally saw her join the line. At one point, one of the guys waiting finally called her out and reported her to the manager. I actually thought the manager handled the whole situation incredibly well. He pulled her aside, kept things calm, and basically offered to give her a free order while asking her to wait in the shade. She continued making a fuss, but he never made a scene or embarrassed her. I don't necessarily agree with rewarding bad behavior, but considering this was opening day and emotions were already high, he handled a difficult situation with a LOT of patience and EQ. Honestly, great job. I was definitely annoyed because she kept cutting in front of us and literally shoving past people whenever she crossed the street to get to the shade. I completely understand wanting to escape the sun, but using that as an excuse to repeatedly move ahead in line was pretty rude. Anyway, once we finally got inside, it was packed. They had a BOGO promotion for the grand opening, so I got two ice creams and gave one to my friend. I got the milk flavor and he got matcha. I also ordered the hojicha float with matcha, and WOW. The tea flavor was strong. Exactly what I want. No watered-down matcha or hojicha flavor hiding underneath a bunch of milk and sugar. The hojicha had that deep roasted, nutty flavor with a slight bitterness, while the matcha was earthy and fragrant. The milk was light, creamy, and almost fluffy tasting. I really appreciate that they aren't afraid to let the tea actually taste like tea. I've had matcha at Matcha Maiko that has become increasingly watered down, so this was a very welcome change. The shop itself is tiny, quaint, and cozy. Very modern Asian matcha café aesthetic, which I love. There's not a ton of seating, but considering this was the grand opening, I'm willing to give them some time to figure things out. Honestly, between the quality of the drinks and how professionally the manager handled the chaos outside, I'm impressed. If this is how they handle a three-hour grand opening line and a difficult customer, I'm excited to see what they're like once things settle down. I'll definitely be back. Hopefully next time I don't have to wait three hours.

I came here for the grand opening on August 8 at 11:18 AM. They are giving out free water tumblers for the first 60 customers. I arrived around 10 and there was already a line. It was a hot and humid day. Fortunately I was bringing an umbrella so that I was shielded from the scorching sun. The staff was kindly distributing cups of water several times. to keep the customers hydrated. After a brief opening ceremony, finally they opened up the door. One employee smartly shared the picture of the menu from his iPhones so that the customers could make their selection before heading to the counter to speed up the ordering process . For their grand opening they offered BOGO for soft serve and 20 percent off for the cakes. The store isn't very big. A lot of the customers were ordering to go. I was the 50th customer so I got the tumbler and I wrote a Google review by scanning the QR code to get a free cute magnet. They have a display of the cakes and the parfait. I got my order quite fast. Hot matcha latte with boba no sugar. I asked for oatmilk, which is $1.25 extra. The boba is fresh with subtle sweetness, doesn't have artificial taste at all. Very enjoyable. Matcha blanket cake. Looks very appealing and realistic. Inside is basically whipped cream with red beans. It's light and not very sweet. Tiramisu layer cake is also light and not very sweet. For take out, they put the order in a sturdy insulated bag. They even put the cup for the matcha latte on a sturdy carrier so that it doesn't spill. Great service. I will definitely come back to try the soft serve and parfait.

The cream puffs were the highlight of the table. Crispy shells with chilled, smooth, ice-cream-like custard inside, and both the matcha and original flavors were great. The matcha crepe cake had a rich matcha flavor that lingered nicely--definitely one for matcha lovers. The Hokkaido cake surprised me with a subtle hint of lemon in the cream, which added a refreshing touch. The brown sugar boba cake was rich and soft, with a springy sponge that paired well with the toppings. For drinks, I went with the low-sugar options. The strawberry matcha latte had a nice balance, with the strawberry sweetness complementing the matcha without overpowering it. The Jasmine matcha latte was lighter and smoother, which I personally preferred.

Guys... not gonna lie, I've tried a lot of matcha spots, especially in Chinatown Philly, and this is one of the few where you can actually TASTE the matcha. Compared to other places that lack that rich matcha flavor, everything here tasted fresh and well-balanced. The menu has so many options, from matcha lattes, soft serve, slushies, and cakes to boba and fruit teas. Even if matcha isn't your thing, they also have flavors like black sesame, ube, and fruit-based drinks, so there's something for everyone. Everything we tried was delicious, and I can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

I came here on their opening day and I have been back maybe 4 times since. I have had a varied experience every time. While the opening day was delayed, hot, and a little sketchy with trying to get people to pre write a 5 star review. One thing is for sure..their matcha is good. It's not the most amazing but it's got good flavor profile and the workers are really dedicated. I don't think they do boba well. I got it on one of the visits and it was too chewy, and lacked flavor. So don't come here expecting your typical boba place, visit one of the others in the area for that. BUT if you are coming here because you like matcha or want to try something new with matcha in it, it's good!

At first, the girl at the register did not know when I asked about the reward program. I insist to sign up for one so she had to ask another girl to help me with it. Then, luckily I checked the bag because they gave me different dessert instead of the matcha towel cake that I ordered. They change it up for me tho. But I forgot to say something about the brown sugar boba cake, because it's melted and there's only a couple pieces of boba in there, it looks nothing like the one they promoted.

Kyo Matcha has a rich, smooth matcha flavor, and the cake was delicious and not overly sweet. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, and she took the time to introduce the different products to us. A lovely place for matcha desserts!

It's so nice to see Kyo Match finally come to Philly. I really like the ambiance, everything match related is so good! Parfait and matcha ice cream are my favorite!

I accidentally added extra boba after starting the payment process, and another charge was mistakenly processed. The employee immediately got her manager involved when I expressed concern about being charged twice. The manager explained that the extra charge would most likely fall off automatically and reassured me that if it didn't, I could call the shop and they would take care of it. Thankfully, she was absolutely right--the duplicate charge was refunded without any issues. Looking back, it was partly my fault because I tend to rush through payment and make additions at the last minute. A little tip for future customers: finalize your order before tapping your phone or card to pay. Overall, the staff handled the situation professionally, my drink was delicious, and the customer service left a positive impression. I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm on that side of town.

I got half sugar and regular ice for both the tea and milk tea. The roasted oolong tea was quite noticeable right from the first sip. The oolong soft serve had a nice tea flavor, with a good balance between the creamy milkiness and the roasted tea. You can really taste the oolong throughout, so it's a nice choice if you enjoy tea-flavored ice cream. Between the two milk teas, I personally preferred the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea--the tea flavor came through nicely without being overpowered by the milk, and the roasted aroma paired really well with the creaminess. The Four Seasons Spring Milk Tea was lighter and more refreshing in comparison. Overall, I really enjoyed trying the oolong series at Teazzi!

I was overheated from being in the sun for 20 minutes, so that poster was very appealing to me. I kept thinking about it throughout my meal at Sky Café. Therefore, my friend and I truly trotted over afterwards. When we were deciding what drink to get, we noticed a young guy with an elderly grandma who bought many snacks from their shelves and fridge, so my friend and I went to browse too. We don't go to Vietnamese cafes and markets much, so many things we saw there looked interesting to us. Unfortunately we couldn't try everything, so we just window shopped. My friend ordered the Kumquat Thai Tea. It tastes like what it sounds like but that actually bothered my friend lol. When I tried it, I was surprised by how it's not as refreshing as I expected. I think the Thai tea base could be more clear. The cup wasn't sealed properly, so tea kept spilling as we walked. I didn't want to get the wintermelon tea, because I saw prebatched bottles in the fridge, so I would question what's the difference ordering with them vs grabbing a bottle myself. Therefore I decided to order the cane juice hoping that it will be good for the summer heat. They said they ran out, so I got the citrus lemongrass tea instead. I'm amused they gave a slice of orange. My drink was more refreshing, and it's a more unique flavor than generic cafes out there so I'm pleased. It wasn't too sweet. The café has cute wooden benches and tables. The selection of Vietnamese snacks were intriguing and should be legit given the old grandma bought a lot. Even though I don't know how realistic it is for me to come again, but I'd want to!
