I was a brand new client and the appointment went fine. It was everything after the fact that made want to leave a bad review. The doctor prescribed me contacts and told me that she would give me 9 days worth of trials (I got dailies). She only gave me 6 days worth for one eye and 9 days worth for the other. Then I called them the next day asking for an order of contacts which wouldn't show up for another 10 days (great! Don't even have enough trails to get me to the order date) she said that the cost was going to be 250.00 for the order. Then they called me 2 hours later saying that they had made a mistake and only charged me 150.00 saying that if I don't pay the rest that I wouldn't get my contacts. So I agreed and said okay, charge me the extra 100.00. Then I checked my account to find out that they double charged me. They charged my account 3 separate times! 1st time= $150.00 2nd time= $100.00 3rd time= the full $250.00 again I will not be coming back to this location! read more

Convient and a very nice office with good docs and very nice folks assisting with glasses choices! Some weird glitches in verifying a secondary insurance...not sure what that was about! I wish they had a better selection of affordable frames...lots of designer ones but not so many in my price range! Overall, though, a good choice for vision care! read more

Y'all, I just had the BEST experience at Kyle Vision Source while getting an eye exam for new glasses. Everyone was super sweet and helpful, from the wonderful folks at the front desk, to Dr. Blaschke who checked out my eyes, and Adela who walked me through picking out the frames and lenses that were right for me! I wish I could remember everyone's name who was on staff because they knocked it out of the park! As a trans man, I generally expect people to default to my legal name, but everyone was very understanding and used my preferred name the whole time. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I went in and got a rushed exam and then got rushed through the ordering contact part, only to find out (after 2 weeks) that it would take a MONTH to get in my contacts! Wooooow... this place is NICE. Everyone here is SUPER friendly, too. They didn't even flinch at any of my introvertedly awkward comments. Dr. Jacob is not only knowledgeable, and friendly, but he's also attractive, a sharp dresser AND he smells good! What! They've got top notch equipment and he found my new prescription really quickly. Upon visiting a doctor's office, it's usually cos of something bad happening or you just have an overall "meh" visit. I had a pretty good time, and I'm glad I'm going to be able to see well again. Dr Voung is amazing. She makes you feel very comfortable and answers any questions with the utmost attention. When we where skeptical about putting our little one in glasses she was very understanding and talked us through it. Her team is awesome and has done everything possible to get us all set up. New client trying to get an eye exam, but they charge 119 if I get diagnosed with anything. I have been wearing glasses my whole life and I have never been asked to pay an extra 119 to get told I have dry eyes. Also, I had an appointment at 2:20 and was asked to get there at 2 to fill out paper work. I get there at 2 and was told that i couldn't go in because my appointment was at 2:20. One of the front office workers was also very rude when I tried to get more Information about the 119 diagnosis. I am in a rush to get new glasses because mine are broken, but rather take my business elsewhere. read more

I stopped into Kyle Vision Source to see if they could fix my glasses after accidentally sitting on them. The store is super new & modern. I was immediately greeted and explained my issue. I wasn't sure if they would help me since I didn't purchase them there. Courtney & Leah at the desk were so friendly and seated me right away. Went for my annual eye exam and once again the staff was very professional and helpful. I was seen on time and was treated very well. The eye tech performed all procedures very professionally and took the time to explain what she was doing and answer my questions. I have used another vision provided for several years and my last prescription was just not clear. I choose Vision Source because there online reviews were so good and boy am I glad I did. I have had two eye surgeries, so there is trauma with my retinas. I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Jacobs and learned he has the most experience with issue such as mine. The exam was extremely thorough including an ultra sound on both eyes, I didn't even know that could be done. Fortunately, all checked fine this time but my prescription was different from the past one. I picked up my glasses today and all I can say is "wow", I can see so much clearer and brighter than I have in a long time. I simply cannot say enough good about this company, each and every employee is knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. They are very stingy about their trial lenses and don't seem to care if you have enough contacts. 2 weeks or more to get your order in so be prepared. Before you get in the office they're blowing up your phone with request about your insurance so they can "speed up the process". I provided the information they needed over the phone and I still had to wait 25 mins after my scheduled appointment time. read more

Everyone was so pleasant at this location. I have been to other locations before and have also worked in customer service for years. The moment I walked in, I was greeted and the girl who assisted me with my paperwork was great at explaining exactly what I would need to fill out and what tests they offered. Nicole was fantastic and so personable. She was easy to talk to and you could tell she genuinely felt passionate about what she does. She was also very professional as she conducted most of my exam. Dr. Nieman was very professional and I didn't feel rushed the way typical doctor visits make you feel. He explained things thoroughly and asked more than once if I had any questions for him. The girl who helped me pick out my frames was very patient and I was so grateful that she helped explain what my insurance offered, as I recently switched providers and still felt somewhat unsure. Overall, great staff and quick exam time (approx. 30min.) The longest part of my visit was picking out new frames. I only wish that there was more of a selection but I will definitely be back. read more

I have been coming to Kyle Vision Source since 2014 and have always had a good visit. That said, this most recent visit on 05/10/2018 was exceptional. My waiting time was less than 5 minutes once I was checked in. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. Once the screening was completed, I only waited another 5 minutes before Dr. Sarah Godward entered the room. This is where I felt the need to submit a review. She was very attentive and took the time to thoroughly explain all my concerns in a clear and concise manner. I felt that she genuinely cared about dialing in the correct prescription and was patient with my indecisiveness along the way. I highly recommend her and will be requesting her for my future visits. I must also mention that the Eyeglass Specialist did a wonderful job explaining the features and benefits for the frames, lenses, etc... I was provided with all the options and was allowed to choose the option that best suited my personal needs in a pressure-free manner. I highly recommend Dr. Sarah Godward at Kyle Vision Source! The Optometrist Dr. Shaikh and her team were AWESOME, the eye exam was the best exam I have ever had, they were all terrific, nice, explained what they were doing. Dr. Shaikh explained the results very well and wrote prescriptions for new glasses. The front desk people were also very helpful. The Optician process was not awesome. The woman was nice, but not really that helpful. She talked fast, I didn't understand what she said about half the time (I wear hearing aids, she was wearing a mask). She did the right things to order the new glasses, but I didn't get the impression she really wanted to help me. The prices of their glasses and lens services were all pretty high. I went there because my medical would pay some. I ended up paying over $600 after my medical portion. Well I do have a complicated prescription, but... The glasses took about a MONTH to be finished and when I went in to pick them up, the front desk person just handed me the glasses and said 'there you go'. I had to ask them to actually adjust the new glasses to my face. WHATTT?? I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years, NEVER has a new pair of glasses fit me without adjustment. The opticians are not always that good, but at least they know what needs to be done. That week, I went to a big box store in Austin and purchase two other pair of glasses (same prescription, similar features) for about $200 less than I paid for 1 pair of glasses at Kyle Vision Source. One pair was ready in 1 week, one pair was ready in 2 weeks. The optician asked if I wanted larger nose pads, and adjusted both pair to fit comfortably. I definitely will return to Kyle Vision Source to get my eyes checked every year, but I will skip the insurance payment and just purchase my eyeglasses elsewhere (such as that big box store that has people who are really helpful). read more

I set up an appointment to get a standard prescription for my contact lenses and glasses. I've gone to a few optometrist over the years and have never had issues as far as insurance goes. I thought it was strange when I initially called and they asked for not only my vision insurance (which is standard to ensure you have coverage) but also my MEDICAL insurance. Nonetheless, I went to my appointment the following week and as I was filling out the new patient forms I read, if you are diagnosed with ANY eye condition including something as small as dry eyes and you do not provide medical insurance, you will be charged $100.00 on top of your copay. Confused, I proceeded to ask the front desk about the details of the charge and in her own words she said, if the doctor finds anything wrong with your eyes outside of just checking your prescription, you will be charged for a DIAGNOSIS. And NO you may not request to have just an eye exam for the sake of a prescription. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER HEARD OF THIS. When I asked why, as my insurance covered a full comprehensive eye exam, they said because they were an eye specialist which stop me if I'm wrong but is that not what an OPTOMETRIST is? Needless to say, I took my money elsewhere, even the optomestrist I went to said they'd never heard of such a thing. Shout out to Dr.Vo at Look + See, they even give you a free koozi, Gatorade, sparkling water or a beer if you'd like and they are great with kids! Paid $10 with insurance and thank goodness I walked out because I had a mild case of dry eyes read more

The girls at the front desk are always really helpful and polite and more importantly, I feel like they are actually listening to me. The techs are always upbeat and funny and seem to genuinely care, even about nonsensical small talk which I love in a Dr's office. The Dr's I've seen have all been extremely professional and prompt. I did wait quite a bit before being taken back for the exam, but it was well worth it! I have NEVER had an optometrist show me pictures of my eyes and explain everything to me! Dr. Lammert was so friendly, knowledgeable and took her time with me. I had the last appointment of the day and they could have rushed me through the process, but they didn't. They were there at least an hour after closing, telling me to take my time so that I could buy the right glasses and contacts. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. While they are a bit pricey they fully explain what you money goes to. They also give you several options that are cost friendly and they even do a comparison to other shops. I love all of this!! But what I loved the most are the tech staff and Dr. Lammert. They are fabulous people and give EXCELLENT customer service. They take their time with you, are patient, and explain things well. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable!! The glasses staff member was also very nice and the choices are top of the line. I found a new place to get my contacts and glasses!!! I will be coming back for many years to come!
