When asked if they could accommodate me, they said, no, the doctor was gone. It was only 10:30am! Also, the first time I went to this office, the optician's assistant (that sets things up and does a few tests before the doctor comes in) smelled so bad I could hardly breathe. I almost complained then but I didn't. I will not be going back there ever again.

As of now I still have cataracts and terrible night vision and blurry vision when looking down even during the day time. If I go back to howerton eye clinic I will have to pay yet another copay for visit plus whatever is needed in her opinion. Another procedure to correct her mistakes yet again, no thank you!! The surgery went fine and my eyes healed perfectly BUT I started experiencing blurry vision at all distances shortly thereafter. I was in the office about every two weeks for about 5-1/2 months after surgery. I was told to use 3 different eye drops by 3 different Dr's/techs. None of which did anything to correct the problem. My left eye is so blurry it feels like I have something in it all day long. To make matters worse, parts of my vision that were good before are now blurry. I can read text that I wasn't able to before without readers, however, it's like double vision and I can't see anything with any detail. When I finally got to see Dr Lancaster close to the 6 month mark, he told me my only option was to have one of the multi-focal lenses replaced with a mono focal lens, which he originally talked me out of prior to the surgery - oh and here is the best part - I was going to have to pay for the surgery because it had been six months!! So much for lifetime guarantee. Oh, and the BS they tell you about being to make any necessary corrections to the lenses, if necessary, after the surgery was not true. They never even offered that as a solution. They even sent me to an outside retina specialist who confirmed the blurry vision had nothing to do with my retina. I called three times trying to speak to someone about those results and no one would return my call. Its been over 2 months and crickets. I have been trying to get my medical records from them so I can go somewhere else to get my eyes fixed, but so far they have failed to give them to me. I spoke to someone who said they would email them, they didn't. I've left several messages because they don't answer the phone and I have received zero call backs. If you are willing to spend the 12k for this surgery, I suggest finding someone else because, in this case, you don't get what you pay for.

So, I decided that my first consultation would be at Eyes of Texas. The entire staff is not only friendly but very informative. It was difficult to ask questions because everything was covered from the start. Dr. Wong is clearly extremely passionate and knowledgeable about his work. I immediately knew that he is who I would trust to take care of my eyes. My surgery was yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the process or results so far. I am really looking forward to the end of the healing process. My only regret is not doing this 10 years ago. I highly recommend that if you are considering getting LASIK surgery to visit Eyes of Texas and Dr. Wong. I'm extremely disappointed in my experience at Lone Star Eye. The star is for the desk person Grant…read morewho has genuinely been trying to help me, but who keeps running into rigid policies and lack of customer care at the company. In short, there have been multiple errors over many months, and I am not seeing LSE own and correct these errors in a reasonable way. I see from other reviews that errors and money grabs are a common theme here. (1) We discussed a specific contact lens Rx in the office, and then the wrong contacts lenses were ordered. When I attempted to reorder, it took months and multiple calls to receive the correct lenses. (2) When I went to fill my glasses Rx, I realized it was the wrong Rx. I called them to correct it, and they said since 60 days had passed, I would need to come back in and pay another $75. I was never even handed a copy of the Rx at the appointment, otherwise I would have realized the error on the spot, and we could have fixed it. They attempted to fix it by putting a random "Add" on the glasses, but I don't use reading glasses. I have asked them to own and correct this error, but they have dug in their heels on charging me another $75. I can't get a new - and correct - Rx for that elsewhere. Thankfully I noticed the error, and then the second error with the Add, or I would have been out hundreds of dollars on glasses I couldn't use.

They will not return phone calls. If you do get a follow up, fully expect to be in the room for 90 minutes while they see new consults to push towards surgery. You will be on the back burner. Their scheduling department is a joke with no visibility. I'd say you get what you pay for but seeing that the price is universal for most shops, who knows. My advice pick a place where you can call the office and actually take to someone to be seen.
