I started as a new patient with Kyle Parkway Dentistry last summer and every cleaning I have they're amazingly friendly and the office is super clean. Appointments are really easy to get and they're flexible if you need to cancel. I like that they put Netflix on for you while you wait or are being worked on. It eases some anxiety over someone working in your mouth. I think they work with relatively new hygienists and assistants and I enjoyed the pleasant conversation between my assistant and the doctor yesterday while my teeth were being cleaned. It showed a real camaraderie between them and the excitement of the assistant with all she's learning. The doctor was a little behind but again, having something to watch kept me entertained. They're a great service and I'm glad it's not too far from home. read more

Nice folks at the front desk but this didn't fix my teeth. I came in because my filling fell out, big hole in my molar. No pain so I figured a filling with a crown. The first day they charged me almost 300+$. For basically an x ray and a 3 D image of the tooth (molar) with the big hole. Then they molded a second tooth for a crown requiring some work. The dentist tried to numb my molar but for some reason the shots didn't work. So I had to leave with no work done to the tooth with a big hole in it. No temp filling or anything. Second time I showed up they wanted to work on the tooth that didn't have a hole in it. I said my priority is the tooth with the big hole in it first. Then they said they will crown both teeth. I wanted a temp filling at the least, you can't make 2 crowns in 2 hours. Then install them. I was informed we may have to do a root cannel first on this tooth. The tooth has no pain so root cannel work on a tooth that doesn't hurt didn't make sense to me. I had a root cannel done I know when a root cannel is required. I maybe wrong but this threw a red flag up. What they did do correctly the x-rays and 1 mold, the single 3-D image I don't have. So the 3-D money is down the drain so is the mold. No other dentist is going to except a mold they didn't do. X-rays will be redone also. They are not cheap I would have spent 2000$ minimum to have 1 tooth fixed. This is if they did drill too deep in the tooth with the hole. Then a root cannel would be required. Basically 1800.00$/crown + the cost of x-rays, 2 molds, one filling, etc... Im out 300+$ with no work done. So I left and found another dentist to simply fill the hole the filling fell out of. Then crown this molar and the other molar needing work. Then I want some work done on my front tooth it's chipped a little. Also I need a mouth guard because I'm grinding my teeth at night. Take it for what it's worth. read more

I see Dr Birk at Kyle Parkway Dental, and I am very pleased. (I went there after feeling cheated at another dental office in Kyle.) Doctor Birk and the staff there treat me so well. They seek understanding of what I am describing about my symptoms and do what is possible for me. They are friendly and interested in me. I actually have really nice conversations. It's nice! Be wary. In 2021, they installed a very expensive "permanent" bridge in my mouth that popped out after a few months. They glued it back in during a cleaning but didn't note that in the record. It popped out again a few months after that and, again, they cemented it back in without noting it in the record. I changed dentists and more or less lived with it not being permanent until it got to the point it was constantly falling out, hampering my ability to eat or even speak. On March 18, 2024, I reached back out to see if they'd at least cement it back in again but they insisted I'd have to pay full price for this service since they only gave me a "one year" warrantee on their "permanent" and "lifetime" work. Since they didn't record the subsequent times they re-cemented it in my official records, they insisted the work was at least three years old. They offered to have me come back in to have a whole new bridge re-made for full price, which I declined. So, be aware ... they don't apparently do good work and they really aren't interested in standing by the work they do when it's shoddy. (The receptionist I spoke with wouldn't give me her name or let me talk to anyone else who might be willing to go on the record.) I wouldn't go so far as to say it's been a "nightmare," but this has been a real hassle for years and I'm surprised they wouldn't work with me beyond demanding full payment to fix their mistake. read more

I have a special needs adult child who was going to get their wisdom teeth out. They were supposed to call in a prescription to calm him down before the procedure. That was not done. I called, emailed and tried to contact the company but nobody answered or was available. When we got there on the day and time of the appointment it was closed. Despite this I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned as we just moved down here as a public school teacher we don't pay for teeth cleaning however they charged me anyway and would not talk to me about it and we're quite rude. read more

I had seen a dentist in Austin who told me I needed a deep teeth cleaning and a root canal Dr Dholariya told me I did not need a deep cleaning or root canal, this saved me thousands of dollars. First time patient here that went in for a regular cleaning. They examined my teeth (X-ray, gum prick test, etc) and then proceeded to tell me that I needed a deep cleaning and had to go to multiple follow up maintenance appts for like 6 months. Dentists make more money off of deep cleanings because of the way insurance is set up, which is why it's pushed so much now. Most likely with deep cleanings you are paying a LOT out of pocket btw. My last dentist, who was AMAZING and unfortunately isn't near me anymore since I moved, explained that any place that immediately tells you on first visit you need a deep cleaning or you got a bunch of cavities, etc. don't trust. They just want your money. So I went with what my previous dentist said. He never BS'd me. I did ask for this dentist to explain in detail why I needed it. She started saying all these big words to try and confuse me, spoke quickly and tried to even scare me. She even tried to get me to fix some of my crooked teeth in the back saying in the future they might get infected somehow. Never had a dentist mention nor care about those teeth. After a while of that the dentist left and the hygienist was about to leave and I asked what about my regular cleaning. He acted kind of annoyed about it and said he didn't have time to do one and that there's no point if you do a deep clean. He was clearly at his limit with patience so I just up and left. I don't appreciate scammy dentists. If they tell you you need all this work on first visit, I suggest getting a second opinion. Most likely they're just trying to get more money out of you. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I came for my exam and cleaning as that's what I scheduled. The hygienist did my X-rays and picked my teeth (to measure my gums) my mouth bled during this and usually does but to me it's the norm also when I floss it's also the norm for my gums to bleed. I hadn't seen my dentist in some time . I saw the reviews and wanted to give this place a try.But, this guy (hygienist) said I had gingivitis and that I needed a prescription mouth wash? I said I'll wait for the dr and let's see what he says. I was expecting to see Dr D I didn't know they just give you first available. Young Dr came in and inspected my teeth didn't say I needed the mouth wash and the hygienist told the young Dr. I had beginning of gingivitis. I was annoyed I wanted the Dr to say that not the hygienist . And since when are they doing the diagnosis?? Well the dr didn't confirm this just said it'll lead up to gingivitis. Once Dr left hygentist suggests a deeper cleaning for my gums which I said only if my insurance covers. Which doesn't! Then he said I needed antibiotics in 4 quadrants which is $10 additional to ea quadrant ... I was like thank you but Ill just take my regular cleaning. He said well it's not going to cut it. It won't fix your issue. I said there is no issue I just would like my regular cleaning that my insurance covers... talk about trying to up sell me on extra Stuff I didn't intend on coming here for. He said he would talk to his manager. When he returns he said I can do a complimentary cleaning but as long as you come back... I honestly should have just walked out but if they are going to bill my insurance for my yearly exam and cleaning I better get that . I stuck to what I had said I will think about it for near future. He did my cleaning but I felt so uncomfortable I kept a straight face but him pushing on these extra things when I clearly said no made me feel uncomfortable. I already am nervous about seeing the dentist which I barely interacted with. Sadly I will not be returning to this place. read more

I only have positive remarks about Kyle Parkway Dentistry! Friendly staff, clean office, modern design and equipment, water and coffee in the waiting room, I could go on forever. There are even TVs on the ceiling so you have something to watch while the staff works on your teeth. As the assistant takes photos of your teeth, you can see them instantly on the TV, which is probably my favorite part! We have been going here since 2018 and didn't have any issues until now but the issue is huge. We were NOT told a claim would be processed out of network and because of this my right to choose to see an in network provider was taken away. This shockingly deceptive process cost me a significant amount of money. My insurance suggested I call the practice and ask them to make things right by asking them to refund the difference of the in network vs out of network patient responsibility. Geneva was less than helpful and only offered to do more staff training. She sounded appalled that I would even ask them to correct the issue. The overall customer service around billing is all poor; while in the waiting room I've heard them speak to other patients over the phone and then mock the patient with other staff after hanging up- a true sign of an inexperienced person on a power trip. This entire experience is unacceptable and honestly a disgusting. Laws are being passed against surprise billing and I cannot wait for them to impact dental practices. Not being transparent around billing and fees should be illegal. read more

I recently visited this establishment and am so glad I did. All of the staff were so nice and the dentist was very gentle. I haven't been to the dentist in over a year due to covid but couldn't wait any longer. The assistant was very kind and kept making sure I was comfortable. Like I said the dentist was extremely gentle, I could hardly feel him cleaning my teeth, I used to be a registered dental assistant so I have very high standards. read more

I spoke to the Dentist on 6/3/19. He assured me that this was not the norm for his practice. He then asked for us to give them another try. 4/25/21, called and left a voice message to try to set an appointment in addition to leaving a message for the dentist. I never received a callback. I called the office today, 4/28/21, and staff told me because I had a bad experience before, they would refer me to an Oral Surgeon(not what I need) but wouldn't see me in their office. Just know, if you ever share a bad experience regarding this practice, you will be banned for life. Dr.D is the one who said this even after asking that I give Them another chance. I wasn't trying to see the dentist I had a poor experience with. I needed a root canal. Oral surgeons do not do Root canals. Unreal practice and very unethical. Changed my review as of 6/3/19 due to bad experience. Follow up. Dentist that checked a tooth that has been causing me pain was doing a check On the tooth. C a great deal of pain. When I was in pain, he rolled his eyes. This is not the type of Dentist that I want working on my family or me. To have no compassion and mock me in front of my Daughter. My wife went to KPD earlier this year and was ery pleased with her visit. The staff was very gracious and took care of not only mt wife but also kept my little boy while his mom was having a tooth extracted. When I went for an exam recently I felt the same hospitality and care from everyone that included the reception desk, dental team, and Beatrice who introduced me to the high-tech panoramic x-ray machine. Though I may decide to have my #3 extracted rather than saved because of financial reasons, I do appreciate the time that was taken to find what was causing the irritating discomfort near the back of my mouth. The hygenist who explained the condition of my tooth health was very understanding and thorough in suggesting steps to help improve it. I was told about the ovarall dental plan from the dentist and expect the details to be sent to my e-mail if not today in the next few days. Facing the consequences of poor dental care over the last 45 years of my life, I am glad that there are people like the KPD who are more than just professional. I found this new office in Kyle being referred by my co worker who told me she had a great experience. I always get super nervous coming into dentist's office but the moment I walked in the staff was welcoming and very friendly. The space is gorgeous and makes you feel like you're walking the halls of a nice spa. The rooms are amazing with screens to see when you're sitting up or laying down. Dr. D was so sweet and very mindful of how nervous dentist visits make me asking me at every point how I was doing and what he was doing as he was working on my cleaning and my xrays. I liked the professional Staff, dentist and assistants. I am very unhappy with the way the office front end staff treated me. They did not check with my insurance for pre approval before the called to get me to schedule some work. I was sure they rechecked on the authorization. It was 5 months after the first pre authorization. I had the work done, and then found out it was not covered. I tried to talk to someone and they told me they don't check for that unless asked to. I didn't ask the first time and they did. So, I expected they would recheck since it was a new year. The claim was denied. I am out $1600 for a crown. I would have had the tooth pulled had I known that. I'm sure it would be a lot less money. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend. read more

I enjoyed watching Netflix to keep my mind off of the fact that I'm at the dentist (which sometimes makes me nervous). The dental hygienist was very gentle which I loved because I have sensitive teeth and gums that bleed easily with the slightest poke. This is the first time that I didn't have this problem!! I'm that person that did not take care of my teeth when I was a teenager and now I'm paying for it and it causes me a good amount of embarrassment and guilt. However, this place really does a good job to not make me feel that way. No judgements, just a treatment plan and efficient execution of the process. The whole staff seem really nice and like they genuinely care. I especially love dealing with Yavette (sp?) in the front office and Dr. Dholariya. The facility is new so everything is modern and clean but still relaxing and cool. I really liked how you can watch Netflix while you wait and while you're getting the procedure done. **UPDATE** Dr D called me ( on a Sunday) and was no more helpful than his wife aka billing manager (sketchy) and would not tell me why his wife charged my daughter $520 upfront for a procedure that her insurance company has a contract with them and her portion was only to be $82!! Here's why: they charge you a great deal upfront to cover themselves whether you already pay insurance premiums or not and make you wait for a "refund". They hold your money until your insurance pays because they are so greedy! They showed $65 to extract a tooth on her statement yet billed our insurance $196...I'm having them investigated...sounds like fraud to me but I'll let the authorities decide! Beware!!' I've had pretty extensive work on my teeth since I was a kid, from root canals to fillings, cavities, wisdom teeth removal, braces, etc. I've been to at least 6 different dentist offices. By far, Kyle Parkway is THE BEST I've been to! Amazing customer service! As soon as I walk in, I'm greeted by name, everyone is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable. They even offer blankets and put Vaseline on your lips so they don't dry out during the process (at previous places, I'd walk out with my lips all cracked and painful from having my mouth open for long periods of time). I have super sensitive eyes so I always had issues with keeping my eyes open when they laid me back, but here, they offer these tinted orange glasses to protect my eyes from the bright overhead lights! The facility is beautifully decorated and very clean. The text appointment confirmations and reminders are convenient, as I tend to be forgetful. The staff always explains what they're about to do and why, which I really appreciate. At some places, the dentist wouldn't explain anything to me and they'd just begin. Even when I would ask questions, they seemed bothered to answer, as if it's such a hassle to explain what I'm paying for. Kyle Parkway always answers my questions in a polite, friendly manner. The prices are pretty average but for the amazing customer service, I'd say the prices are pretty low for what you're getting! Their hours are great too! I love that they're open till 7 pm on most days. I'm a teacher so I'm usually still at school till about 5 pm. I really don't like to miss any school time so those 5/6 pm appointments work great for me. Absolutely LOVE Kyle Parkway Dentistry! read more

I am so excited that I found a new dental home. At the spur of the moment I decided it was time to make an appointment. The website appointment login was extremely easy to use. I was able to get in the same day and see Dr.McConnel. He was very patient and thorough and made sure I understood the different level of priorities. I was so embarrassed that it had been so long since I've had a visit. Everyone from the front desk staff and assistants were very nice. There office is equipped with what I would describe is the latest in tech. I personally do not have insurance and pay using care credit. This office offers a annual membership at the cost of $289. This membership allows you to get free services during the year like new patient exam,full mouth x-rays, regular cleanings and etc. In addition you get savings of 30-50% off other treatments. The cost for me to have my procedure would have been more than me applying to be a member combined with discounted services. I never felt like I was being sold on something or pushed in any way which is really hard to come by these days. After I left my appointment I could not stop telling my family and friends how great my experience was. I've been to several dental offices but this was the first time I left smiling. read more
