ONCE UPON A TIME...I had heard nothing but good things about this company. Thus, I recommended them all the time; however, when I scheduled my own service with Bill, the owner of this business, while we had a specific timeline for an appointment between 9 AM and 10 AM, owner didn't make his first attempt to call me till 1120 on a very tight scheduled day. He then stated via txt he would be out of his current job within 30 minutes and could see me in the next hour.! 12:30pm! There was no call and no show during the scheduled 9 to 10 hour window. As a fellow business owner of over 44 years myself, I find this very unprofessional! I had other things to do. Merchant got upset and called me a bunch of names after I aired him out online. When I talked to the merchant later in the day, he did not want to reschedule or wait till the time when cooler heads would prevail. So the hardest thing I have found to open is a 'closed mind.' I wished him nothing but continued success but for my Review is unfortunately a -10. And I'm the customer. I contacted KwikPick Lock and Safe from a referral from a safe manufacturer's website as an authorized agent for a safe I own in a home I just purchased and moved into. All I needed was to have a wall safe keypad number combination reset for a safe brand I had never heard of before . . . the previous homeowner did not leave me the combination number for a wall safe in which the door was open, but without the combination it could not be locked or unlocked. Simple stated . . . just please reset the keypad with a new combination of numbers. First of all you have to keep following-up and following-up with KwikPick Lock and Safe until you finally get a response. They (always a KwikPick Lock and Safe employee named "Bill") commit to a timeline, but you never hear back from them again. So you follow-up again and they commit to a timeline again, but you never hear back again. When you do you finally make a meaningful contact (it is always a person named "Bill") you are told about 1) a service charge just for the trip, 2) then charges for labor for when KwikPick Lock and Safe get onsite and 3) when you agree (don't know why I did in the first place) KwikPick Lock and Safe states at the end KwikPick Lock and Safe cannot guarantee by the end of their service call KwikPick Lock and Safe can reset the lock that they are trained and authorized by the manufacturer to reset. Why would anyone agree to those terms and conditions, especially with condition #3 added in at the end? So, despite KwikPick Lock and Safe being the closest authorized agent to where I live and already having wasted weeks of my time invested in follow-ups, I went back to the manufacturer's website starting all over selecting the next available agent, but located further away. Not only did the new manufacturer's agent I found get back to me immediately (same day telephone call), they sent me some basic troubleshooting instructions to try for myself. Well what do you know?! After less than a minute I had the problem resolved by myself! It cost me $0 and that agent has now earned me as a permanent customer for all my safe, locksmith and other such needs. Don't waste your valuable time following-up and following-up with KwikPick Lock & Safe and certainly do not waste your hard earned money due to KwikPick Lock and Safe's lack of knowledge and especially disregard for serving the customer focusing first and foremost on their transactional profit. I highly recommend this service. Our beautiful brass door latch became increasingly difficult to open. Bill dismantled it in front of us, showing the worn components and explaining the normal wear from 12+ years of heavy daily use. He said all we needed was replacement of the internal moving part, which he had in his truck. Thank God for this man and his desire to be a service to others. We had a friend and her baby over for a swim and when loading up her car with all their stuff somehow the car got locked with the baby and dog inside. The air conditioner was ON thank God.
