    Dishonorable and deceptive owner. Took my truck there because it was pouring out trans fluid, had…read moreno idea where it was coming from. I dropped it off and within 2 hours Kenny Snider called me saying my extension housing was cracked all the way around caused by a seized u joint, he also told me that my transmission is going to need to be rebuilt and gave me a quote of $5600. I declined because the transmission was running completely fine and asked for a quote for the extension housing replacement and u joint. He then tried to sell me on the rebuild again and I again declined and his attitude changed. He said he'll give me a quote by the end of the day for the repairs, never got it. Called for 4 straights days and no one answered the phone until the following Monday and he still did not have my quote until that evening of $2600 and weaseled his way out of warranties for the work (wouldn't take it back there even if it was warrantied). Gave him the go ahead not having any knowledge of transmissions. They actually finished the job pretty quick, but when I picked it up I didn't even pull out of the parking lot before my o/d off light and transmission temperature light came on. I went back in and told Kenny that they came on and asked if he could check connections and he refused and then told me that all my internals are "fried up" and that it's overheating, how is it overheating from driving 10'? My engine wasn't at operating temperature so I know it wasn't driven before I picked it up. And Kenny also said he "has a video" of the inside of my transmission and it's all messed up, I asked for the video and he wouldn't show me and said he would send it to me (still haven't received). He then tried to sell me on a rebuild again when I know it's purely electrical because my transmission was completely fine when I dropped it off it was just pouring fluid. He still refused to check connections saying he checked them himself and that it's not a connection. I was born at night but not last night, so I limped the truck over to Moore transmission on highway 6 and 35, and surprise a connector wasn't plugged in, but the lights still weren't off so I dropped it off and they called me back saying that I need a new wiring harness, governor pressure sensor, and o/d solenoid, which I didn't need before leaving it with Kenny. My trans fluid was also overfilled which could cause a lot more issues. Moore Transmission knocked it out in 1 day, they actually communicated and fixed little things that I didn't even mention like my loose gear shifter and my window controls on my door. And they didn't even charge me for it, very honorable guys and honest work. They were disgusted by how much I paid and they said $1400 was the absolute max I should have paid for the work performed and for my transmission should have been no more than $3200 to rebuild and they said the transmission is completely fine and they even test drove it multiple times (snider obviously didn't) and these past 2 weeks it has ran flawlessly with absolutely no issues, I've even been towing 10,000+ pounds with 0 hesitation. Snider has been the worst experience I've had with any shop and I've heard the same things from family members about their other shops as well which I didn't know prior. Very poor customer service and communication, dishonorable guy all around. They're also revoked by the Better Business Bureau which I'll also be filling a complaint with as well. The work itself was done correctly as far as I know. To avoid the deception and no communication and poor attempts to sell you on unnecessary thousands of dollars of work, take it down the road, literally anywhere else. It was expensive, but I have no doubt that I got a very high quality rebuild with the best parts available - for a fair price given the complexity of the job, and the highly skilled experts who did the repairs. I didn't want to pay for a rebuild. But I knew I needed one and these guys were absolutely great to work with.

So I asked Robert the technician to communicate with Patrick the owner that I am not satisfied with rebuilt transmission it was still slipping and making a loud noise inside of the car. Patrick then bought a rebuilt transmission I go back and pick up my car and it was worst than the first time. I talked with Robert the technician again and asked him to call Patrick and had him relate the issues with the car once again. The following week Patrick called me saying he ended up purchasing a new transmission since they could not fix my transmission. A few days later I received a call that the car was ready. I picked it up today I still hear the noise inside of the vehicle as if I had my windows down, I've asked about this issue getting fixed but I was told that they don't know what it could be or why it's doing that. The car drives better but this noise is very loud while I'm driving, I don't like it at all. I think that they focus more on American cars versus imports. I was given a year warranty but have not seen or received any documentation showing that I have a brand new transmission. When I asked about documentation it was taken as if I didn't trust him but I just paid over 5K for this work. Note: I don't live nearby Alvin I'm an hour and half away and I drove there 3 times, spending time and money.

    This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I would strongly caution others before bringing…read moretheir vehicle here. To be clear, it was not my choice to use this shop initially. My original mechanic was unable to diagnose the issue with my car and referred it here. Unfortunately, less than 24 hours after getting my vehicle back, it broke down again. Although the breakdown happened over the weekend, I contacted the shop immediately to inform them of the issue. I never received a follow-up call on Monday and had to reach out myself. I explained multiple times how urgently I needed my vehicle, especially as a single mother with no family nearby to help, and was repeatedly assured that the situation would be handled. When they asked me to tow the vehicle back to their shop at my own expense, I refused. Since the vehicle failed less than 24 hours after their repair, I felt they should take responsibility and arrange pickup--which they eventually did, but only after giving me the runaround all week. My car was not picked up until the following Saturday. I was then told that a transmission hose had been cut and that it would cost an additional $450 to repair, despite the same part being available online for much less. When I asked about the warranty on the original repair, I was told this new issue was not covered. To make matters more confusing, they initially claimed they didn't have the part, then suddenly "found" one--but would not begin work until payment was made. The entire process felt dishonest and inconsistent. Communication was poor, the pricing seemed questionable, and I never felt like I was being given transparent information. What was most concerning was being told I could pick up my vehicle if I left a "good" review. I left a 3-star review because I felt that was fair based on my experience. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was questioned about why I didn't leave 5 stars and was told they were "doing me a favor." No one was doing me a favor. My car should not have needed to return to the shop less than 24 hours after the initial repair. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
