this place is so dishonest it's disgusting. i got an oil change here and a month later i opened the hood of my car and realized they replace my brand new nice windshield fluid cap with a piece of plastic. oh and coincidentally a fuse on my car stopped working after getting an oil change here. after reading the other reviews im 100% POSITIVE this place had something to do with it. thankfully i was covered by my dealership. this place is horrible and i will be reporting to the better business bureau because the amount of victims in the reviews section here is appalling. read more

I have taken my truck her for large repairs and small repairs. The staff is always friendly and they are fair. They guarantee prices. I was quote one and they honored the same quoted price a week later. I have come back because the light on my crappy ford went on again thinking it may be the same problem again. Dishonest people! They said our truck would not pass inspection because the front brakes were bad and it would cost $425 for the brake job. We passed as I had already had a brake job last year. We took the truck to Pep Boys. They did a free brake inspection and showed us the pads had 75% wear left. They did the inspection and it passes. This morning I stopped by to have my oil changed with my own oil and filter. A few hours later when I went to lunch I realized they had put the left over oil (about 1/10th of a quart) in my passenger side floorboard and it leaked everywhere. What kind of idiot would do this? This use to be my "go to" oil change place but I won't be coming back. Came to get my oil changed and tried to use a coupon that was on their website and they wouldn't honor it. If you aren't going to honor coupons you shouldn't have them on your site. They also use to vacuum the floor out and clean your windows....not this time. Had the absolute worst experience with the manager named Josh. After going on on the 5th of January because I had a oil pressure light go on after I had an oil change, I was told to come back after the part was ordered. I was there 5 minutes before they opened on Sunday. Not only was Josh dismissive about the time they were getting to my vehicle, he was walking away when he was telling me this. He treated me like total garbage. I have already witness the way he treats the workers. They are scared to death of making a mistake because I've heard him berate them beyond anything I've ever heard in a workplace. It was so uncomfortable that the worker apologized. The sad thing is the worker is still there looking a year later. How this person is allowed to keep his job is beyond me. I've heard the owners never respond to reviews!! Got a Reply from Rick B. My daughter (and her car) moved to the area for college. Our relationship with this facility started great. They were able to figure out a way to fix a head light (a metal clip broke that held bulb in place) without going to Mercedes and buying a new light kit for $380. I was extremely grateful and comforted to know my daughter had a place to take her car from now on. Fast forward to a month ago, daughters fuel pump goes out. We have it towed to their place, they explain all that will go on, etc...Its a big job. All good. Pick up the car and it runs great but there's no power to the radio?????....Call them and explain and they insist we bring it back and they will make it right. They suggested that a wire most likely came loose and that it shouldn't take that long. I bring it back (the next time I'm in town) and they get it in right away, but can't get the radio to come on. They asked if we could bring it in and leave it for the day so they can investigate. We told them, "Yes, but it'll have to be on my daughter's schedule". Long story - SHORT. Daughter can't find the time to drop it off, I come in to town and take it there a month later. They have the car all day and finally call me to tell me they have solved the problem. It turns out it was a blown fuse that was located behind the dash and NOT accessible with out removing dash board. I said, "Damn, thanks. that was odd"....they said yeah, but it's going to cost you $290 for the labor. Hmmm. But you were responsible for the care of my car while changing the fuel pump. The radio has worked, without fail, everyday, for 12 consecutive years until the day you changed the fuel pump. I know they didn't do it on purpose. I know it was a fluke. Charging me for the "fluke" and saying there's "NO WAY" it could be their fault because the fuel pump and radio are not connected is asinine. I paid it and vowed never to return. Wife just took her car in. Was quoted $160 to 'fix' her brakes and rotors. Repairman told her they weren't turned last time brakes were done. She was just charged $280 even though she was assured $160 at the beginning of the job. I think this is called highway robbery. Yup. Exactly was this is. I've only been to this location one other time for an oil change which took almost 2 hours (maybe 3 other cars were there) to complete. No big deal, I don't mind waiting. However, today I went in for an oil change again, waiting at the front counter for 15 minutes without even so much as an acknowledgement. I understand they were slammed, but between the service manager and another gentleman, they came into the office 4 different times to address other customers. Not even so much as a "I'll be right with you" from either of them. I quietly walked out and went next door. Do not go to this rip off Kwik Kar. Wife went in for an inspection and oil change. She was told her battery posts were corroded and was an automatic inspection fail .....which is untrue..... (so they sold her a new battery for $139.99) and the existing battery was not even a year old. Told her the break fluid was too dark......so they sold her a break flush for $99. They charged $49.99$ for the oil change and then added a surcharge for of 36$ for "Synthetic oil upgrade" and added another $10 for the oil cost. Next they added an additional $129.55 for a labor fee on top of everything else. My total bill was $416.29. When I called to ask about the added labor charge and what it was for I was told that information was not available. When I asked to speak to the manager.....the manager refused to speak with me. I will be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Went to kwik Kar this morning for a basic oil change. Was greeted and even had a great conversation with 2 gentleman they changed my oil and replace my windshield wipers then when it was time to go my car wouldn't start they had the mechanic look at it he quoted me about $457 for a new starter. I've never had issues with my car starting in the year I've had it. I get stuff goes wrong sometimes but I feel like it was tampered with I had it towed to a dealership. I felt like since I was a women they tried to take advantage and get me to pay for more work that I didn't need until he messed with my car. I wouldn't suggest coming here. read more

I was quoted a certain price for an oil change, they upgraded while working on my car and didn't tell me. I did not need the upgrade for my car to function. When I told them to skip the inspection, they got mad and yelled. I asked him just to pull my car around so I could pay and leave. Instead, they ran an inspection and aborted it halfway through telling me I had to pay for that too. When I refuse to pay for the upgrade or the inspection, they trespassed me and told the cops they were going to put a lien on my vehicle. I had no choice but to pay for everything to get my car. They upgraded my oil change $20, they charged me $25.50 when the state inspection paper said $7 due to it being aborted. They included a premier filter and environmental charges that are both supposed to be covered under the main price of the oil change. I saw after I left then my sticker says I got the basic oil change. I did not get any upgrades on my vehicle and I did not get an inspection. They made an extra almost $50 off of me and that's just because I was paying attention. They also went to start taking off my windshield wipers onc LPe I went back inside, but I saw them through the glass and told them to stop. They had mentioned earlier that I should get new windshield wipers and I had already told them no. I could have been out another $45 for two windshield wipers if they had done it while it wasn't looking. This place is a complete scam and when you say something they yell at you. Once mechanic shops perform service you are required by the state to pay, and you have to take them to court to get your money back. One customer walked in requesting only an oil change and left with a $200 bill while I was there. read more

I was just told to leave this store because I asked for the waiting room TV playing Fox News to be lowered in volume or muted. One employee turned it down for me (I was the only customer in the waiting room). A second employee came in and turned it back up. When I complained again I was told that the owner wanted Fox News on all the time with volume. I was then told to leave after I said I'd wait outside rather than listening to the TV. I was berated for thinking the ownership cared what a customer would want. I wasn't polite after being told that my views didn't count at a business I was ready to spend around $100 at. It's unfortunate that I have to post this, but my service wasn't the best. I thought I could save a few dollars by going here, but the savings almost cost me my car. The quality of initial service was good and they try to up sell you on other services. Here is the bad part: I had my next oil change at the dealerships across the street (Autonation) . They sat me down and said my oil cap was torqued down and cracked. Oil was covering my engine. I would have lost my engine if I drove it to the recommendation. I looked at the cap and there was a huge hole in the cap! Although I knew that I wasn't going to get any money for the repair (the cap itself was a $10 part) I visited them and showed them the damage. They said that once I drove off that they weren't liable. Not even an apology. I suggest going somewhere else. read more

Had to pull over to the closest automobile repair center due to a flat tire, unfortunately it was this one. The people who greeted me seemed knowledgeable, so I went ahead and agreed for them to put a plug in my tire. They told me that it was temporary and that I should go to discount tire (0.9 miles down the street) to get it patched. I paid for the labor which was $50 and headed down the street to discount tire. The rep at discount tire informed me that they have NEVER heard of anyone charging $50 for a plug (discount tire patches for free!) . On top of that I was told that there were several options they could've offered to me but instead took advantage of someone who needed help. Because of the poorly done plug, I had to purchase a new tire. I would not recommend this place to anyone...they only care about scamming you.. read more

I had my wife take my new truck in for a state inspection this week. When I got home I noticed some damage on the door. I called the shop and asked to speak to the owner and I was told I could not. I was not allowed to view the video either. I went in person this morning and the assistant manager said I don't see anything and gave me multiple excuses as to why it couldn't have been their fault. When I asked to speak to the owner he said why I already told you. I was then put in touch with the manager who also stated that I could not review the video because he already had with the owner and they could not determine if they caused the damage. He stated his owner doesn't get involved with these situations. Then he said he would contact Chevy for touch up paint and he would let me know. Why not let me view the video? Why would you not put me in contact with the owner? The level of unprofessionalism is beyond me. I literally just wanted to speak to the owner and view the video. I don't want Kwik Kar to touch up my door with paint. Maybe a PDR guy but most of all the reaction of the management staff was very disappointing. They have no way of contacting the owner like similar Kwik Kars. Will be filing a BBB complaint and certainly will not recommended Bryant Irvin Kwik Kar. Disappointed... I would hope that if the owner Rick Benson was aware of this he would at the least reach out to the customer vs having a 20 year old manager try and tell me to shove off. read more

Don't go here! They are overpriced and don't even do a great job! I paid 56.00 for an oil change! Then on top of that they tried to get me to replace both my air filters for 50.00. They didn't even do a good job of cleaning the windows. They cleaned the windows and vacuumed the inside but didn't clean the outside of the windows. I will never go here again. I usually go to a different location but this one was convenient while I was out running my errands. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. But the guy Jake was absolutely horrible. We went on January 10th of 2020 to get an inspection so that we could get our registration, we he came up to us and started telling us that we needed a whole list of things fixed in the car in order to pass inspection so we went ahead and got it done. A month later we went to go get our sticker and they told us we didn't get an inspection and that we had to go back to the place to ask for one. So we went back to kwik Kar because this info was wrong obviously, well come to find out the dude didn't even give us the inspection. We literally went there for the inspection and didn't get one! So my husband tried to talk to him and he just kept avoiding us. We asked to speak to a manager and we were told that the manager didn't want to come speak to us. The only person that helped us out was josh. So at that point we left the car there to get inspected by jake and he called us and told us that it would be an extra charge to clean the sensor to make our engine light turn off to pass inspection. At this point we're furious because how are you going to charge us $220 the first time and not give us what we asked for and then try to charge us more for something that you should've done in the first place?? Absolutely not! So we told him no and he was rude and said "well if you're not going to pay for anything then I'm going to take my time to put it all back together and you can get your car at 6pm". At that time it was only 3:00pm. So it's going to take 3 hours for you to put it back together just because you're mad that we won't give you more money?? So now we're left with no inspection because jake didn't want to do his job right the first time. All of this could've been avoided if he were to have done his job right the first time. I'm extremely upset about all of this and I really hope something gets done about all of it. We will be contacting corporate as well. We'd never had any problems before then either but we definitely won't be back. read more
