They tried to cheat me out of $3k. Had the car checked by dealership a few months ago and they told me the front left strut needed replacement. Couldn't afford it at the time. The brake pads wore out so I needed them replaced. Took it to this location. They said the calipers needed to be replaced and it'd be $3k. I told them I couldn't do that and asked them to replace the brake pads. They refused without the caliper replacement. They marked my suspension fine in their "full vehicle inspection" though....that I still had to pay for. They even sent a pic of the tire on the bad side, clearly worn unevenly due to a suspension problem. Shop down the street replaced the pads no problem. Either they were trying to cheat me or didn't know that they were doing. Whatever the case, I'd advise looking elsewhere. read more

Came in to get a tire patched but they couldn't because it was a run flat tire. That's fine. But then they put on the new tire without discussing pricing first or telling me they were going to do so (they originally said they would come back to let me know if they couldn't patch it). They then had to put my old tire back on so I could go somewhere else to get it fixed because their price was $400. Waited 1 1/2 hours to end back up right where I started. Got to the new place and the tire was completely separated from the rim because they had inflated it to 50 psi. Waste of time and mistakes from miscommunication left and right. read more

I have to say it was by far the worst experience I've ever had to endure. While the gentleman Dylan who helped at the counter was amazing and polite. The tech Danny who did the service could be heard complaining about doing the inspection of my RV. He could be heard cursing, saying "What the f*ck am I suppose to do go out in the rain," and hear "Are you f*cking kidding me, am I suppose to drive it around the block." I made the remark "He doesn't seem to be having a good day" & Dylan at the counter replied, "Ya, he's sick and the doctors don't know what's up, so he's having a bad day." I was beyond shocked he was excusing this other guys behavior & language for having to do his job. But what really bothered me was Danny's attitude towards fulfilling a customers request. What's the point of being employed if you don't want to do the job! Doesn't your customers lead to you being paid? I may have to reconsider using Firestone if this is the type of experience I can expect from a Firestone "professional." read more

Brought in my vehicle for an alignment check and 6 hrs later my wheel fell off my tie rod as I was driving! Very scary. The manager Layla Crumb took no accountability for their mistakes instead citing "a complete coincidence that this happened after we serviced your car and it's a miracle this didn't happen sooner, blind luck she said". Came in for my headlights to be replaced on the driver and passenger side cause they were out. Jay was my technician and she was very diligent on time and made sure I wouldn't wait long. There was a hiccup they only had on of the light bulbs at the store. However, Jay made sure I was serviced with both lights like asked she went out of way and repeatedly call for updates on ETA of the other light arrival. Overall both my lights are fix even though I say for 3hrs she was very informative on updates and let me know the process on my car. They did not do a thorough inspection on the car. They only focused in one area causing us to borrow money from family. A couple months later my husband brought it back to Firestone only to find out there was more damage than they thought. The car should have been totaled in October. Be careful guys. went to Firestone because that is where purchased the tire with warranty (left front) that was separating on RAM 3500 dually. Tire had less that 9,200 miles on it. Was given a price & told to come back in 2 days because they had to get tire. Made appt. Came back & took picture of wheel, had tire replaced. Install complete, my inspection of tire & wheel found significant dimple on chrome wheel that was not previously there. Manager Victoria Williams looked at wheel & said their machine would not cause the damage. I said damage could have been caused by a tool. Showed her the picture taken in their parking lot prior to install. She said she could not comment & continued to state their machine could not have caused the damage. Horrible customer service!! 11/4/2023, 12:28: Dropped car with Alonzo to repair a flat tire and showed him the nail. I was told it would be done in 1-2 hours. 3:00pm: No news, so I called to check status. I was told 1-2 hours again. 5:00pm: No news again, so I called again. I was told they should be able to get to my car in about an hour. 6:20pm: They finally called and told me there were 3 nails in the tire, and it needed to be replaced, not repaired, because a nail was too close to the sidewall. I drove my other car to look for myself. 6:30: I arrived at the shop. I saw 2 nails, but the other "nail" was a "hole in the tread." I asked, "If it was a hole, how is there still air in the tire?" He said it still needed to be repaired. Also, the nail that was too close to the sidewall more than 2" from the edge. I didn't really believe him, but caved in and agreed to buy a new tire. Alonzo said it would be done at 7:00, so I went home, had my wife join me in a third trip to Firestone. 7:00: My wife and I arrived to pick up the car, but repairs had not started. At that point, I cancelled the job, and Alonzo at least cancelled the $20 inspection fee. I told Alonzo how frustrated I was and that if he was too busy to get to my car, he should have said so when I dropped it off. He pointed out that a job took longer that morning than expected, and that he was short staffed. I believed both of these stories, but told him that those were also both good reasons to tell me on my first stop that his schedule was full and he would not be able to fit me in that day. I told him being honest with customers would be a good practice. Promising a customer a job could get done by a specific time - repeatedly - and failing to do so is rude, and unprofessional. I will never go to this Firestone outlet again, and would recommend others avoid this place, too! read more

I appreciate that they take their time to make sure everything is right and done correctly. But don't come here if you are in a rush or looking for convenience. Took an hour and a half for an oil change. Nice people, great workers, just takes a really long time to get something that can be done in 15 minutes down the street like a simple oil change done. Monday (6/20): I decided to schedule an oil change at this Firestone location because I thought it would be more convenient than going to a smaller shop that doesn't do appointments. Despite arriving promptly at my appointment time I had to wait two hours before getting my keys back. I didn't complain since the staff working in the lobby were courteous and the waiting room was clean and air conditioned. I would have appreciated a heads up that they were experiencing delays considering I didn't expect a simple service to waste most of my afternoon off work. Fast forward to today (6/23): during my drive to work my low oil pressure light starts flashing with increasing frequency, I turned off my podcast to listen to my engine and it's rattling every time I accelerate. By the time I pulled into my office parking garage at 7:00 am the noise was so loud I felt lucky to have made here. My front right tire had a nail in it and went flat. On a Sunday. The day before my new job that required orientation in Dallas. Discount Tire Company was closed, so I used Yelp's "Open Now" filter. I couldn't go very far so I picked somewhere close. And this is how we met. Immediately the technician diagnosed the problem: A nail in my tire. A tiny nail that looked like a piece of gravel. His solution: Sell me a $275 warranty and "warranty out" my tire. "Uh, no. Discount Tire Company would fix the tire for free if I had bought it from them. I'm not buying a warranty. I shouldn't have to buy one. Either patch it or I will buy a new tire. " Dammit Discount Tire Company, why are you closed Sunday?!!! "Let me take your name and number. What make/model is your car? What's the vin? Where did you buy it?" etc. My husband guessed he was trying to milk me because my car still had paper tags. I guessed it was because the little jerk works at Firestone. But anyways, he stated that "Yeah, these tires are going to cost you." Went back out and feigned a look. Then pulled up a computer screen showing me that I can buy a new tire for $241, or warranty out my tires for $275 and have a new tire. What a conniving jerk!! I have had this experience AT EVERY SINGLE FIRESTONE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I once took my car in for an oil change at the Arlington location and they charged me $400 bucks for mysterious transmission service(?!) Got pissed and left. Precariously drove my tire to Sear's and they didn't once try to sell me anything. They patched my tire for $24. Pretty much 10% of what that conman at Firestone wanted. I explained I was nervous that I wouldn't make it, it hard never said 0 miles before. I also had my toddler with me. I begged for a gas can or something to help. By Friday (may 12) my car started making this AWFUL noise and oil light blinking. Took my vehicle for a rack and pinion replacement and had to take back back a few days later to have it replaced again. 3rd time took it back again with the same issue, only this time they did a terrible alignment thinking it was the rack and pinion again. So, they said that it was out of alignment and they fixed the issue. Drive back home and it was driving even worse. Had to take it to another repair shop and they told me that it was wayyyyyyy out of alignment, it almost seemed that if I had hit a curb, that it was out of alignment a few degrees, which is bad, not decimals, but whole degrees. My truck was at Firestone CAC for 4 days just to tell me they didn't found anything and that realignment my vehicle just to found out it was worse. I believe this was done on purpose because I was calling every day to get an update on my vehicle. This location has around 6 bays for one tech, tell me if this is productive? Seriously, the worse experience ever in my life. Prior this repair I went a few months back without an appointment. I asked the front desk person how long will it take for me to wait to get state inspection and he said 1 hour. Each hour I kept reminding him until 4 hours passed and told me that they were not going to be able to see it that day. I was so pissed!!! He could have just told me that at the very beginning. I got a brake job and tire rotation at this location in October. I have a nail in my tire and went to a different Firestone (I moved back to Austin) and when they tried to repair it, they found my wheel lock key had not been returned to the bag with the nuts and cannot fix my tire without it. I had to spend $25 at the Honda dealer to get a new one. They are the only people who have touched that bag they had to have it when they did my services back in October or they couldn't;t have gotten the wheels off. read more

After waiting 2 hours (with an appointment!) for them to lift my car and see what the problem was they said I needed new brake cables and rotors. Ok. So I go back to the desk where she explains a whopping bill of $1350...my jaw literally dropped. I'm no mechanic but I thought, am I getting robbed?! $1350?! I've had work done on my cars before and this sounds crazy! I stopped by Lifetime Automotive a few miles away for a different perspective and he told me the cables are fine but I do need rotors. When I talk to the manager she acted like I was making it all up and defended her employees that she'd only been working with since November 2019.
