Chicken pad thai
Timothy L.

I am always happy to see more good food spots open around southwest Washington. My friend recommended this spot and I came here with them the other day and I was pretty satisfied. I got their pad Thai with chicken and it was good pad Thai I would come back for if I am in the area but nothing to rave home about. The Thai iced tea ice cream was good and a filling dessert.

Found on findmeglutenfree.com as my mom is GF and DF. As promised online, their menu has very prominent labeling for GF and Vegan options! We also had a seafood allergy to be aware of and as sensitive as she is, my mom had NO issues !! Onto the environment: Lobby was well lit, well decorated and music was relaxing. There was only one other party there so we felt pretty lucky to have the place to ourselves. Our waiters were a nice young man and an older man who were very accommodating not only to our dietary needs but were great conversationalists. The entire time we felt welcomed and catered to. Something unique was they had a "call" button for when you want to order, pay or just talk to one of them. My favorite Thai place back in Arizona, I'm sorry, but you've gotten replaced. Will be coming back here for sure next time we visit.

Hi, they recommend this little hideaway Thai food restaurant. It's the best Thai food I've had in Vancouver. Also, the service here is top-notch. I highly recommend it.

DRUNKEN MAN x2
Sara S.

This hospitable place opens late and the food hit the spot! Drunken mans were delicious and not too oily/sweet. The ratio of noodle, veggies, and protein was great. As was the home made mango ice cream - smooth and creamy, with a distinct coconut taste.

BEST FOOD EVER. Our meals came out quickly and were super yummy. The whole atmosphere was warm and cozy. I appreciate that the restaurant is open late. Our servers were super nice, too. My only complaint is that they offered us a refill for a drink but then charged us for two separate drinks, so that was an unexpected expense. I wish they'd made it clear that we'd be charged an extra 5 dollars beforehand. BUT, at least we know that's their policy now. We definitely still hope to come back some time.

My boyfriend and I LOVE kwan thai!! The husband and wife that own and run the place are the most adorable little couple and they work so hard to make sure every customer is satisfied. The tom yum is soup is honestly the best I've ever tried. My boyfriend always gets the drunken man noodles, they are delicious!! We will always come back here. The food is delicious and affordable, and meeting the owners will make your whole day

STIR FRY SWEET & SOUR with chicken
Ann W.

We decided to try this restaurant because it offered options for us including gluten free and vegan. I ordered the fried rice with vegetables and the sweet and sour with chicken. Both dishes were fabulous and safe for me and my severe food allergies. I also chose mild spice. The flavor was wonderful! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There was soft music playing I highly recommend this restaurant!

The duo of bartenders covering the area did an awesome job (thank you guys!). I tried a draft cider and we got an order of coconut prawns to start. Not only were the prawns delicious, the slaw they came on was soooo tasty. We both tried the social hour burgers. We got them with double patties and fries. The burgers were cooked beautifully and the seasoning really worked well. The fries were a perfect crisp golden brown and they were salted well. I got some garlic aioli, so so so good! Great service, great venue, great food!

Stopped in for our 4th or 5th visit to celebrate my wife's birthday last Friday night April 17th…read more.. The Cove has always been a great choice in the past for special dinners/occasions. Unfortunately this time, we left very disappointed. My wife has a sensitivity to spicy foods. Upon ordering appetizers for the table, we asked if any of them (that had a spicy description on the menu) had the option to have the sauce on the side. She proceeded to ask how the scallops were and went ahead with that order. There was absolutely no description of having any spicy component on the menu nor any mention by the server. Upon her first bite of the risotto, she went into a severe coughing fit :( I tasted it and acknowledged how spicy it was. She proceeded to just eat the scallops. We were mostly done when the waiter came to check on us ... My wife asked if the dish is typically spicy. Response was "oh yes" ... It was completely lost on us why he wouldn't have mentioned that to her upon ordering knowing how she questioned the appetizers. His offer at this point was a new meal .. which was nice but we were mostly done. There really wasn't much in the way of sincerity beyond that. It seems the right thing to have done was offer my wife (celebrating her birthday) who didn't enjoy her meal ... maybe a comp'd drink or maybe a dessert (no acknowledgment of her birthday at all. When you spend north of $300 ... Disappointing to say the least. Upon leaving, I decided to just express my concern to the hostess and suggested adding the spice level of this specific entree to the menu. I reaffirmed my wife didn't get to fully enjoy her meal. I received a lukewarm "thanks for letting us know." The worst part of the whole experience was a manager/owner type was a few steps behind her, made eye contact and was fully aware i had an issue and made absolutely no attempt to come over and address the complaint. I no longer blame the waiter for his lack of concern knowing it flows from the top. We all go out and spend top dollar at nice restaurants for good food but also, for service and the experience. The restaurant has been opened awhile and maybe is established enough where this isn't as much of a priority as it was early on. In contrast, we went out the night before to a more established fave restaurant of ours in Portland (Ava Genes). Had an incredible meal, incredible experience, and uber attentive service. They even went the extra mile and made a big deal that we chose them to celebrate. Ended our evening with a simple complimentary scoop of gelato/candle. It was a nice touch. Certainly didn't mind spending the $$$ for that evening. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying The Cove if they've never been (I'm hopeful they just had a bad night) ... but there are so many good choices out there, it will most certainly make us think twice before going back.

It made the whole evening feel special and relaxing. The food was amazing fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. A huge shoutout to our waitress, Nancy! She was so kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We can be a little picky with our food, and she went above and beyond to help customize our entrées so they were exactly how we like them. She made us feel completely taken care of without ever making us feel like we were being difficult. Between the beautiful view, exceptional service, and fantastic food, this place is a must-visit.

This was a very disappointing and honestly unsettling experience…read more We were dining with our 17 month old, who briefly became fussy (about 1-2 minutes). We intentionally did not intervene immediately, as we are working on teaching her to communicate without reinforcing whining. During that short time, multiple guests began making comments toward us, including telling us to "do something" and calling us "the worst parents." The situation escalated when one woman followed us as we were leaving, recording us and yelling in our faces. What's most concerning is that the restaurant did not intervene in any meaningful way. Instead of addressing the guests who were harassing us, we were asked if we wanted to move tables. Our server was kind and tried to help, but the lack of management response in a situation that clearly crossed into harassment was unacceptable. I left feeling shaken and unsafe. I would not recommend this restaurant for families.

Found this place from my fellow yelpers. It was a beautiful…read moreday and wanted to eat dinner close to the water. I have to say parking was terrible. I am disabled and had a hard time fighting somewhere to park. Once we got in, we were greeted by a very friendly staff. We were sat almost immediately, which was fantastic. The place was pretty full. I ordered Arnold Palmer to drink. It may not seem that big a deal but these were the most delicious I've ever had. For me the lemonade usually has a taste of a dirty mop bucket. But this was so clean and fresh. We started with an order of calamari. Very delicious. It was not chewy or Oil soaked. Very clean very tasty. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was good. For dinner I had the shrimp and grits. It came with a sausage, pasty type stuff, but I had it delivered on the side. This was my best decision of the night. I wasn't crazy about the flavor. But the shrimp and grits were fantastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the grits were very flavorful. My wife had the Parmesan crusted Sole. It was so good. The outsides were crispy with the cheese, but the insides were moist and flaky. Absolutely delicious. It also came on a bed of rice. It was perfect. The only drawback to my evening was the fact the bus boys kept trying to take our food off the table before we were done eating. I had to stop one guy from taking a plate. They was still half full of food. The place is very loud if you're looking for a quiet evenings, probably is not a good choice. Very hard edge noisy. If you're in the area, this is probably an OK choice. The food service were good.

Before entering and without knowing anything about Wildfin, I was expecting the Chart House or even McCormick & Schmick. However it's more similar to a high-end Bonefish Grille or stepped down Chart House. More margarita and house wine vs martini and select wines. Has a national chain feel. The menu has many seafood options but most are combinations with pasta, cream sauce, salad, sandwich or fried. The more naked fish selection is limited to salmon, steelhead and trout. Outside of this is a large selection of standard menu items like burgers, appetizers, and obligatory sampling of sushi options. Salads are limited and oddly placed throughout the menu. We ordered the miso black cod, harvest salad, a cup of seafood chowder, tacos and wine. The miso black cod was average for $38. I cook a lot of fish at home that's moist and flaky in the middle and charred outside. I believe this was steamed, overdone and a less generous size. The tacos were tasty with beef, grilled fish and pork belly (although they were out of pork). And the harvest salad was refreshing and fairly light. The wine list was limited and by the glass selections were somewhat standard. Our server (the bartender) knew nothing about the wine but allowed us to taste options. We asked for 9 oz and received what looked like at least 12 oz. In fact we couldn't drink it all. Overall the meal wasn't memorable and if we did return it would be for a drink, bar bites and maybe a burger.
