Stopped here after my workout, the lady working was soooo nice I ordered pad Thai, the mixed veggie stir fry, and chicken wings. Total was just over $40. Was told it would be about 20 because of the wings, but she was quick and I think I had my food in under 10. Granted I was the only customer at the time. My food was pretty good, I ordered mild spice and I thought it was just the right amount of spice..I'ma wimp with spice. My husband loved the wings! Found this food cart on Yelp and decided to check it out now that the weather is finally nice for food cart food! It's located in Downtown Vancouver and street parking was pretty easy to find on a Friday night. Ordered the chicken Pad Z Ew and chicken wing appetizer and I really enjoyed both of them! The chicken wings were very garlicky and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Since this is a food cart, there was an outdoor patio next to what looked like a brewery for people to sit down and have a drink. When we were there, there was also someone singing on stage which was really cool! We got our food quickly and it was piping hot indicating the freshness. The portions were probably on the small end but I understand with inflation and all that. Super friendly guy at the window too! read more

Highly Rec the peanut sauce add on Their crab fried rice was generous and delicious--across all portions. Only improvement would be to add different veggie in the shrimp salad rolls. Decided to try Thai 4 U because of their excellent reviews. Their pad Thai is incredible; best I have ever had (I have to admit that I've never been to Thailand, but this is the best I've had in the US!). I love that they use tamarind in their pad Thai- this ingredient is necessary for the dish but often withheld. It gives this awesome tang to the noodles. As we passed this place, someone told us it's the best Thai food in Vancouver. We weren't really thinking of eating Thai, but I'm so glad we did. They have a great menu and everything we got was delicious. The garlicy tofu stir fry was amazing, I loved the black pepper flavor and the tofu was perfectly cooked. My partner ordered the pumpkin curry and was not disappointed. The spice level was perfect and there was so much flavor. He forgot to specify that he wanted tofu and ended up with the chicken, which he was just eating around because the flavors were so good. When the person who took our order, Tonya, came to check on us, she noticed this and asked how everything was. We mentioned that we don't eat chicken and she brought us a whole serving of tofu, even though we were the ones who forgot to order it. Overall the service was outstanding and the food was amazing. Posting this review as a way of keeping other vegan foodies in the know. I appreciate reading reviews and discovering that wow all the reviews are spot on this place is fantastic. Not the case with Thai 4 U.... Most of the reviews are 4 and 5 star. We went here because of all your of these glowing reviews. But what we experienced was not the same. It was sadly very unmemorable. We both got papaya salads medium, my friend got Pad Thai with clear noodle /shrimp. I got red curry with veggies.the papaya salads were way too salty to enjoy. My friend could not stomach any more and just stopped eating it. I tried and finished most of my salad but I ended up with dry mouth and needing to gulp copious amounts of water for the remainder of the day. My friends Pad Thai he said again it was too salty and said the the clear noodles were not the good quality ones he's used to. He said that he would not go back. My curry was ok but hardly any vegetables and lacking in spice as I requested Thai hot. My second visit I was solo. I got tofu fresh rolls and cashew nut stir fry with tofu. I requested no bell peppers and they offered to put more broccoli in place of the bell peppers. If you look at the photo theirs hardly any broccoli and the sauce was so overwhelming that it was hard to enjoy. Also I requested Thai hot and it was not very hot at all. The tofu salad rolls were just ok. It seems like they were mostly lettuce and vermicelli noodles and not much else. Also I must say the portions are on the smaller side. I have to speak the truth. Food should be tasty and healthy not making you feel like you need to drink lots of water after eating because of over saltiness. Which is the case with Thai 4 U. I'd love to keep an open mind and hope they improve to in future try them again. ......but for now the search continues. read more

I am not joking when I say this is hands down THE BEST Thai food ever. Anywhere around. Don't go anywhere else. You don't need to. I promise. I recommend the glass noodle stir fry with chicken!! And the fried rice... oh em geeeeee. It's all so good. The pad Thai is great too. It's all very authentic, super clean little cart, and has a seating area. But they never have mango sticky rice! My only complaint and obviously not taking a star away for that because that would be mean. Pleaseeee make more of this so I may enjoy this from your cart one day, Thai 4 U!!! I'm willing to put money on it being dee lish issss. Friday nights, maybe Saturdays too, there's live music and whatever from the bar next door under a large awning with tables and chairs. Caught a randomly good band last week and played some giant Jenga after a meal that was so delectable I almost thought it was a dream. There's a fire table too. And corn hole. And porta potties (ew, but if you gotta go....) Parking is on the street and costs $ along Main Street before 6pm or something like that, but is free a block or two away on the residential roads.
