First timers visiting from LA, we stopped by around 9:30pm and Claire was so sweet and helpful and was so patient with all of our sample requests. Absolutely loved the Dubai chocolate creation, the strawberry shortcake ice cream with Cap'n Crunch on top & the Care Bear Stare was heavenly! All of the flavors went so well together. We loved the space it was cute, clean, and the service was the cherry on top! Thanks Claire for taking good care of us

Oh my. This will be my new go to for a sweet treat! I stopped by on a weekend afternoon and it was a bit quiet. The employees were very welcoming and generously offered samples. I couldn't refuse and tried the black sesame and lychee ice creams- the first had a very strong flavor and the second was super interesting with the chunks of boba. Definitely unique with a fun twist. I decided on the mango and ube soft serve swirl and it was so refreshing and divine- not at all too sweet! The ube flavor, which I find often gets lost in desserts, came through really well. The prices are a bit high, but even the small size came with a generous portion and the taste is high quality. You also really can't beat the cute interior and bunny-themed merch. Definitely recommend paying a visit if you're in the area!

This was a really solid after-dinner ice cream spot. We came with a big group, and they had plenty of seating for all of us. And the strawberry hibiscus ice cream was one of the best ice creams I have ever had.

Not my favorite -- pretty but not great. I got the special (Melona x Lychee) swirl in a cup, hoping for a yummy lychee flavor. It had an overpowering artificial flavor :( That was probably my bad though (I didn't realize Melona was a candy). Cups are more expensive than cones!

Fantastic prices for such a fantastic array of flavors. We have tried, lavender, matcha, black sesame, pandan, melona melon, and harajuku strawberry. Kurimu will be the only page I turn post notifications on for so I can be first in line once the next swirl flavors hit. I can't wait!!

Saw this place on TikTok and have been wanting to try it. Super impressed with the ice cream! We were a bit confused on the menu at first, but the staff was super helpful in explaining everything to us. We sampled a few flavors before making out pics. One thing that stood out to me is that the name of the flavor is exactly how the ice cream tastes. I for the black sesame and PB&J and it tasted exactly like a PB&J with a hint of sesame. And the cone really tasted like lavender! Fun flavors that taste exactly like the name. The vibe inside was very inviting. There were a couple groups hanging out. Looks like a nice cafe to spend some time and there was wi-fi too.

Delicious soft serve & it's a pretty large space so seating isn't an issue. If you've never been before, I'd recommend reading reviews online prior cause the menu is a bit confusing. We got the seasonal flavors then you can get tapioca on top. Location is kinda awkard since it's on a busy street - but nonetheless, we love the dessert!

Very unique flavor options for both the ice cream itself and the waffle cones. You could easily come here many times and continue to try something different every time. The staff was very friendly! They allowed us to try samples, and helped a lot when we asked for recommendations. There were a lot of flavors like Purple Yam, Banoffee pie, and black sesame that I had never seen or heard of as ice cream flavors, so samples are always nice before deciding! Plenty of tables and seating to enjoy your treat there if you didn't want to take it to go. We had to pay for street parking which was unfortunate, but it was definitely worth it!

oreo matcha ice cream & birthday cake ice cream with reece's puff cereal added

i wanted to get a sweet treat to celebrate my 3 yr anniversary in chicago and kurimu is really close to me so i just grabbed a more elaborate ice cream situation than i usually would. honestly it was good but it wasn't great. i got the oreo matcha which i just didn't like - i think because i just don't like matcha which tastes a bit like dirt to me and the ice cream wasn't sweetened at all. the birthday cake was good but nothing to write home about. overall for the price i dont think it was worth it. the girl who checked me out was rly nice tho and i do like how spacious it is inside , theres plenty of seating

Kurimu opened in Lincoln park this year and I was so excited for a warm day to get some ice cream! Their space is modern and pretty cool. I liked the multi-level bench which was fun to sit at some non-traditional seating to eat. Even though the guy making the ice cream was right there, you order on the iPad system which felt a little odd considering if you wanted a sample, he had to get it for you. They have both soft serve and regular ice cream, but there is nothing standard about their flavors which I loved! The unique range of options made me want to try everything. I sampled the purple yam which was delicious and unique and I'd like to come back and order it. I was in a soft serve mood so i got the special which was a mango mochi parfait. I think their soft serve flavors are rotating as I've seen them have matcha and ube soft serve in the past. I am usually prefer chocolate over fruity when it comes to ice cream, but I really enjoyed this! It was quite unique and refreshing. Their prices are a little high for ice cream, but I enjoy the uniqueness of the space and flavors.

We did the make your own and it was around $12 - u get lots of ice cream though and the ice cream itself was tasty. You can order through a screen or there is someone to help if need be.

Purple yam ice cream with red velvet cone (in front) and lychee ice cream with matcha cone (in back)

They were unfortunately out of the swirl yesterday when I went, but I tried some of their ice cream flavors (they let you sample them before you pick) and they're all so good! I got the purple yam with a red velvet cone and my friend got the lychee with a matcha cone. Both cones did taste like their respective flavors which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back! Service was also really good, since I'm a very indecisive person...they gave me plenty of time to choose a flavor. Much appreciated :)

While visiting town for a work event, I spent $40 on Ubers so that I could come and try the Miffy ice cream while the Miffy collaboration is still going on. I say worth it. The mango sticky rice ice cream I was recommended and got is some of the best I've had yet. It had what tasted like pieces of soft mango mochi in it, which gave it a nice chew. I was the only customer, which surprised me, because this place is so cute and even has WiFi, so it would be a great place to come study or hang with friends.

On our recent trip to Chicago, we were meeting friends for Wicker Park Fest, but on one condition,…read moreand that was that we met them at Mindy's Bakery for a few treats before heading into the gates. And honestly, I think a stop here for all future visits to Wicker Park now rely on this condition being met! While the baked goods are where it is at, the smell alone was worth selling itself. After we got a few whiffs, we made out way to the counter and did the ole "Ill take that, and this, oh and that too..." and ended up with a wide variety of cookies, tarts, danishes and cakes. All of which were absolutely delightful! Out of our haul, the peanut butter cookie was the highlight for me, and the raspberry crumble bar was it for my partner. Everything in between was delish, but a few things definitely stood out! Service was stellar from entry to exit. They knew we were newbies, so they helped us pick the best of the best. The space is gorgeous, bright, welcoming and classic. They definitely let the baked goods be just as much a part of the decor as the actual artwork. Overall, I get it now...Mindy's was impressive in all the right ways and is certainly a staple for all Chicago trips in the future!

Their seasonal banana cold foam cold brew is so stinkin good! The cold foam itself is super thick…read moreso as you drink your cold brew, quite literally every single sip gets that fantastic cold foam. The bagel, croissant, and peanut butter cookie were all so good! The dough used for the bagel and croissant is so scrumptious. I opted to get the ham and cheese croissant and it was a great balance. Both Bialays are a perfect savory treat!  I can't wait to come back and try more of the baked goods, especially the coffee cakes.
