    Scallion Pancake w. Braised Beef

There's not a lot of great food options around Times Square but this is a good place to get some decent and yummy Chinese food in the area! I liked their Pan-Fried Shrimp & Pork Dumplings and Scallion Pancake w. Braised Beef. The dumplings were meaty and the pancakes were flaky and crispy. I had to get their Knife-Cut Noodles (House Special) which came with beef, shrimp, and a whole tea egg! They also have dry hot pot so I tired their Mala Dry Pot (Beef) which had the perfect level of spice and wasn't too salty.

This is a delivery review. Kung Fu Kitchen has a wide selection on its menu all of which are authentic. Ranging from southern to northern Chinese region cuisines it not only has a lot, but the food still tastes good. Would definitely order again! Taste: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Value for money: 3/5 (4/5 if you're using coupons) We had: 1) Beef Chili Pepper Fry hand cut noodle - great 2) beef tendon ramen w/ soup - good as well, they split the soup on the side which is good so the noodles don't get soggy! 3) Angus marbled beef spicy dry pot - great!

Yummy. Best handmade dumplings either fried or steamed cant go wrong. There noodles dishes are so fresh, a must when eating here. Kung Fu Kitchen is a classic NYC Chinese restaurant specializing in hand cut noodles and dumplings , with fast service.

What an awesome dining experience from start to finish. My coworkers and I shared the shrimp dumplings and the braised beef scallion pancakes - both of which were delightful (but that braised beef scallion pancake stole the show it was incredibly tasty). Also loved the knife cut noodles with roast duck. I would like to come back one day to try more of the menu, the food was delicious with great service and ambiance.

It was my first time here and I loved it. If you're looking for great noodles, this is definitely the place to go. It's easy to get to, conveniently located near the 42nd Street Bus Terminal. There's plenty of seating, making it perfect for coming with friends or on a date. They also offer boba tea, both frozen and non-frozen. The service was great, and I'll definitely be coming back.

I walked into Kung Fu Kitchen on a whim because I was starving, and it turned out to be a solid choice. I don't usually eat around 34th St & 8th Ave since the area can feel hectic, but this spot was convenient and surprisingly satisfying. The menu has a good mix of Chinese staples and ramen options. The food came out quickly, portions were generous, and everything I tried was tasty and filling without being overpriced. It definitely hits the spot if you're looking for comfort food in the middle of Manhattan. The space itself is casual and busy, but service was efficient and I didn't have to wait long even during peak hours. For convenient Chinese food or a quick ramen stop near Penn Station, this place really works.

Heard about this place near the theatre district for handmade dumplings and noodles. Will need to come back for the soup dumpling. Dumplings were hearty filled, noodles was tasty broth was on the salty side. Service was friendly and it must be the area - when we asked the waiter to take a picture he's like "$5 a picture" haha - we went somewhere earlier and he said the same thing. Toward the back of the restaurant there was a large screen showing the history of how he became a chef, family, making of dumplings, and other dumpling places in NYC which was a nice touch.

A clean and spacious restaurant in midtown, Kung Fu Kitchen serves relatively inexpensive and delicious Chinese food. It was started by a Chinese actor who immigrated to the US and had to start over, but found his passion for food! Somehow, knowing the story of the chef behind the counter added a layer of familiarity to the dishes. We ordered the Sliced Beef Scallion Pancake, Cucumber Salad, Pork Soup Dumplings, and Wonton Soup. The scallion pancake was crunchy and well-flavored, one of the best I've had in the city. The cucumber salad was different than most, seasoned with chicken powder and sesame oil and chili oil on the side. It was not bad, but not my favorite. The soup dumplings were pretty good too, having decent flavors but the dumpling skin was a bit thick. The wontons/dumplings were the star of the night. The pork, shrimp, and chives tasted fresh, and my friend and I savored each bite. The only skepticism I have is whether they used chicken powder/MSG or not, which I'm not sure how I feel about. I would still come back to this place to try other things on the menu.

Kung Fu Kitchen in Times Square promised a convenient spot for some classic Chinese dumplings without the trek out to Flushing. Given the location, I was prepared for higher prices, but still hopeful for a satisfying meal. While they were good, the experience was mostly within the ballpark of my expectations. We ordered the soup dumplings, expecting that signature delicate balance of thin wrappers and savory broth. Instead, the soup dumplings leaned on the sweeter side, which was a bit of a surprise. Now, Shanghai style cuisine trends on the sweeter side, so I'm used to it having grown up eating Shanghai food, but it was a little too sweet. I just wish the broth had a deeper, savory flavor. The filling was decent, but nothing that made me want to order a second round. Prices were noticeably steeper than what I'm used to, which made the overall experience feel less worthwhile. The menu had the usual suspects, pork soup dumplings, pork and crab, pan-fried dumplings, and they were good, but that's about it. Service was efficient enough, though the place felt a bit rushed, which might be the nature of Times Square dining. All in all, Kung Fu Kitchen is a convenient option if you're in the area and craving dumplings, but I'd skip over to Flushing still, if you're looking to treat yourself. Though keep in mind I'm just a tourist :)

Stumbled across this place walking and saw the Michelin sign. SO HAPPY I ATE HERE!! Food was absolutely amazing. Never had soup dumplings due to not eat beef or pork so their chicken option was amazing. Service was pretty good. The vibe was clean and cutesy. Follow @LivingLifeWithKylie on IG

The food was fresh, but the flavors just seemed the same for both dishes. Service was quick as we were on our way to see a show. Restaurant overall looked clean and the bonus was that the sink was outside of the bathroom so we could wash our hands. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food.

My wife and I came here to eat back in 2019 and since we are back in NYC, we decided to try this place again with our kids. The staff were super friendly and food quality was as good as when we were there in 2019. We ordered our usual pork soup dumpling since my kids love soup dumpling. We ended up ordering another one. My older som wanted to try the duck bun and it was really good. the bun was soft and the duck had a lot of flavor. My wife tried it and liked it a lot. I told her it was duck since she doesn't eat duck but only after she finished it and got her honest opinion about it. The steamed dumpling packed a lot of flavor. I prefer this traditional dumpling over the soup dumplings since you can taste the meat and seasoning more. The soup was ok. I prefer the spicy beef soup with their noodle over ramen but my wife can't handle spiciness. I wish there was a little mire flavor like the spicy noodle. If you like the fishy scallop flavor, I would recommend ordering the scallop and pork soup dumpling. The flavor can be overwhelming if you are not a fan of seafood or scallop taste. My kids were not a fan of it so that meant more for me. I recommend this place if you are around the area and want to get something small to eat for lunch before exploring NYC that doesn't break the bank.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

I was browsing for places with scallion pancakes and I came across this restaurant. I saw they had a scallion pancake beef rook which I'd never seen before. It was fried and crispy on the inside with tender beef on the inside, that was slightly savory slightly sweet. I had the roll on its own, which made for a light meal, but it can also be enjoyed as a large snack. It was a little greasy, which can be expected, but not sure if I'd get it again. I did think it was innovative though. The most impressive thing about the restaurant was actually the space. I came to pick up my food and was surprised to see this beautiful place. The outside is unassuming and nothing special but inside has the aesthetic of an old Shanghai restaurant. It's ornate and slightly quirky. It's also really big, bigger than I expected. Even the bathrooms had traditional Chinese flare with the sliding doors. Definitely worth checking out,
